Miep and Jan are starting to feel the pressure of taking care of the Frank’s while they hiding, they short on food rations, the Frank’s apartment was raided with all their things gone and Miep is having to lie so the girls don’t get hurt from whats going on out there.

I guess those times were different, during those times some one word had a heavy impact on their lives, if something similar happen now days I don’t see people covering up for each other and helping to the point of putting their lives at risk for someone else who is not even family, we recently went through a pandemic and yes people help each other during hard times but its very different that for helping someone hide a military puts a riffle to your head, one thing is getting killed by head shot another is dying from hunger or some illness. Miep and Jan are constantly putting their lives at risk to the point of taking favors from the “resistance” just by doing that alone they can get killed, Mr. Frank mention that this rumors and movements most of the time are promoted by Nazis to get those not in favor of their political believes. The tension and stress must be immense having to think that every time some one knocks at your door it could be the military looking for you to get arrested or worst.

With the girls having existential problems to adapt to their new place Miep has run out of food rations, all of them gone, this is where the real magician comes at work, Miep is very resourceful but for me or I would say anyone is not just the food shortage but knowing that their and now your live is at risk its either a friend, a co worker, someone who “help” you, there is a point you don’t even know who or what to believe since there are more and more spies everywhere working for the Germans.

Miep and Jan start to work with what they got to gather more food for the Frank’s, at first Jan start pulling some emergency food rations from work, those are suppose to be for clients but they now living the day by day with the Franks, Miep just trying to be charming with the butcher and sometimes make up stories of a sick parent to get someone else pity and some more food, at this point everything goes.

Yeah I don’t think that’s any good but that’s exactly what they had to do to survive, lied, soon Miep and Jan will start to lie to most people they know to stay alive, get food, lie to friends, lie to family and sometimes even lie to each other because they taking extreme risks.

Talking about lying to friends, Tess just keep showing uninvited, pushing on Miep to be fun, acting like she has nothing to worry because of her new rich boyfriend, even takes Miep and Jan to party probably expecting for them to get drunk and start talking about the Franks or anything related to hiding jews, every time I see Tess I cant stop thinking she is a spy, her boyfriend too, he even got Miep to talk about who are the good and bad guys a conversation that end up in politics but stop there after they saw a Germain Military Raid how they were taking jews from their homes including old people and kids.

Miep and Jan were told about this place called the Comes Bookstore where there is a resistance who can get them more food rations, Mr. Frank already told Miep this is an old trick from the Germans, start a rumor that give them hope just to catch those out side their law but Miep and Jan still went for it, so far it seems it work, every step they take is a risk, now they have to give in the Franks papers in to get fake ones so they can keep getting food rations, what if this so called resistance is just a bunch of spies trying to lure them in to catch them all, not that I want to see them die but for me this is the intense part, how every decision they take is a risk that puts them to the edge.

Like it wasnt enought that Jan is taking all this risks with Miep but now his boss calls him to a meeting because of the few emergency rations he ask for, Jan gets invited into a group at work who is not friends with the Germans and have a plan to help everyone they can, how do you trust them? again back them peoples word had more value probably thats why Jan and Miep trust so many people, same goes for Mr. Frank, yes Miep is a friendly woman, noble, just, funny and probably gave him the impression she had a good heart but how do you put the lives of your family into someone you just met?

This good heart and faith acting is what makes the group bigger and bigger, first it was just then Franks, then the Van Pels adding three more people to the group and now Dr. Pfeffer what next? the group just double in number, taking that much food will be suspicious at some point and at least is just food right now what happens if they get sick or hurt or worst when there is food shortage because of the war because that will eventually happen. Mr. Frank philosophy after all is that they have to do it, they have to help others if not they will just disappear referring to who they really are as a person, been locked up even if its on a big apartment for many months is not easy and it could easily brake and change people, going through it alone is worst, may be having this many people can bring in a different way to coup with the situation, the worst part is that they don’t know when all this is going to stop, they don’t have a date for this to end.

At the end of the episode this German Soldier shows up with two kids who are the grandchildren of Jan tenant, their parents were arrested at the train station and this Soldier felt pity for them and brought them home, this got me thinking how did he know they live there? they just move in a few days, a German Soldier felt pity for Jewish kids during those days? could that be a trap to find out if Miep or Jan are hiding any more Jewish people? He says he will be back and the kids better not be there so guess where are those kids going? yup with the Franks. Every single scene from now on feels it get things more and more complicated, a snow ball rolling down hill after Miep and Jan , when is this ball will bee too big and get them.

I’m a little behind on this series because I’m short on time recently but this and Silo are getting very excited, on every corner, everywhere they look and every decision they take there is the danger of getting caught and get killed, but they still find a way to have a good time, go out and drink its like even though things can get worst they really cant, this occupation of Amsterdam by the Germans has taken everything from them, they have no peace, no privacy, no security, they cant stop thinking every time some one knock at the door that its a German Soldier coming for them, before this series came out I saw people making videos about how awesome the book is “Anne Frank Remembered: The Story of the Woman Who Helped to Hide the Frank Family” by Miep Gies. The production, wardrobe, music, actors everything is on point, so far this first two episodes I give them a solid 8/10.

Juliette has a lot on her plate now been offered the job as a Sheriff after Holston wanted her to be her successor and both dead Holston and George, to that add she may need to shut down the Silo generator for the first time in Silo history to repair it without room for failure or live in darkness.

On Episode 2 had enough of the Silo and decided to go out but before he took such a light decision he had two entire years after George died and Juliette show him everything George have discover so far, he must have discover the truth about the Silo but probably was a bit selfish at not telling anything to Juliette but after all going out its a one shot decision, all they see from the inside its what shown from a camera that IS controlled by the Silo, the outside looks doomed and everyone who goes out dies by the “poison”, its a gamble that on this episode is revealed for a very brief time, Holston left behind a signal that Juliette understood and make her take the decision to take the Sheriff job but only after she becomes the first woman and engineer to shut down the generator for the first time in Silo history and get it repaired, she is going in basically blind folded without knowing whats wrong with generator and with very limited time before things go BOOM!!

Juliette is still grieving for George, on episode 2 she did try to reach the bottom of the cave where George mention there is a tunnel with a door at the end but the amount of water down there is massive besides who knows what is down there, water is life and all of the sudden there is some creature down there or the water could be toxic, water in the dark is very scary too and for someone who has never seen the ocean or even a full size Olympic pool imagine how hard it could be to take a big ass rope and go down about twenty meters to then jump into that massive amount of water, also consider that the rest of the excavator that was use to made the Silo is under water too so for all she knows she can dive into the water and hit the excavator right away all that and alone in the dark, she cant tell anyone else, if that information goes into the wrong hands Juliette can easily get killed.

She gets so drunk Shirley has to come to her place, its been two hours and she haven’t reported yet but when Juliette was waking up and recovering the Silo started shaking, the generator has been having issues, big vibrations that can make it explode so they both run down to the machine room and see whats going on, after kicking and screaming, Juliette rule is no body else goes into the generator but her, they figure out the diagnostic was wrong, the vibration is getting worst and its on the opposite direction so they have to shut it down to repair it before its too late. Knox chief of engineering has to come up with a plan to do this, Juliette is pushing for this but soon will get all the backup she needed to make it happen.

Mayor Ruth and Deputy Marnes are heading down to the machine room to talk to Juliette and offer her the job of Sheriff, its a tradition to offer the job no matter what after a Sheriff retire or pass out and leaves a candidate behind, first they stop by IT to try to get more information about her and ask Bernard head of IT, Juliette and him had some history after she took some heat resistant tape without permission but basically thats all she has on her to call her a thief.

Bernard must be part of the conspiracy, as head of IT he most likely knows the image on the screen is hijacked, what they showing is not the truth about the outside conditions, it shows a doom land but its the total opposite, on episode two I thought Holston was hallucinating when he saw clear sky, plants and trees but on this episode part of the truth is reveal although seem no body pay attention for this quick blip on the system.

Mayor Ruth also stop by to talk with Julitte’s father, Dr. Pete Nichols about her but as expected they don’t talk that much, they haven’t seen each other since she left to engendering when she was thirteen years old, since then not a word.

Finally Mayor Ruth and Deputy Marnes get to the machine room and explain everything is going in the upper part of the Silo to Juliette, Holston left her as his Sheriff candidate and no body wants her, not IT, not the judge, even if they ask her father that’s a solid no, at first she even say no, it look like it was a done deal, she knows its more important for everyone for her to stay down there at least until the generator gets repaired but for some reason Mayor Ruth wants her to take the job, she didn’t say it directly but at least thinks if Holston leave her as his successor has to be for a good reason and probably also wants to respect his last wish. Before they go back to the upper part of the Silo, Deputy Marnes gave Julitte Holston batch and that’s when it kicks in, Hank saw something on the back of the batch that make Juliette change her mind, it said “Truth” but there is only one condition, she first has to repair the generator, after some back and forward with the Mayor it gets approve, no body likes it and its a big gamble. There are a lot of things that can go wrong, they got less than thirty minutes before the steam that moves the generator make the steam container blow up.

The picture above shows the screen in the cafeteria, with the generator ON and then when they shut it down to transition into backup power, for a quick second the true image goes on but people were so scare, they have never been in the dark that probably not many notice, if you really zoom in you can see that on the first imagine there is Holston body on the ground, dead, but on the second one there is nothing.

Nobody like that the Silo went into backup power but it seems Benard head of IT specially took it personal, but Juliette is now officially the new Sheriff in town, she took the job but only to keep working on finding the truth about the Silo and George death, Holston once told her he will send word when he finds something and him sending for her as Sheriff was that signal plus the word truth at the back of his batch, now Juliette knows there is more to why Holston decided to go out, for Holston it was a gamble but for Juliette its less, time will tell if she runs with same luck as George and someone attempt to kill her when she gets too close to the truth.

For some very strange reason Mayor Ruth dies after she goes back to her office with Deputy Marnes, I cant figure out how they killed her, for sure she didn’t die because something was wrong with her, I never saw her eating anything during the episode she only drank water, probably her water was poison when lights went out, after all she was making some noise by not stooping to visit the judge and went directly to offer Juliette the Sheriff position against all the people she ask about Juliette.

This was a great episode with a lot of action, Juliette put her life on the line to get the generator fix, she knew it was now or never plus there is much more for her to discover now that Holston has send for her after selecting her to replace him but things wont be easy, the entity or people behind the truth of the Silo will do anything to keep things like they are, keep tight control of the people and the Silo, they can also quickly end anyone life just look at what happen to Mayor Ruth, they just filed a Sheriff vacancy now there is one for Mayor and I think the next Mayor wont be Juliette’s favorite.

After Episode 1 Dan Gallagher gets out of prison on paroled and meets again with his now older daughter Ellen after fifteen years to tell to her face that he didn’t murder Alex Forrest but he had to admit it only to have the chance to get out just as he did, this is all part of his plan to now prove he didn’t do it, its not over yet for him.

The Movie in Your Mind, makes reference to what Ellen, Dan’s daughter is going through now that his dad is out of jail, confess that he didn’t kill Alex and is now going to prove it, ever since this entire situation started for her, probably when she was way younger she has been taking therapy, it looks like it really got to her and she may have some sort of problem to concentrate as she implements a method of transcribe her classes in order to analyze it better, she has also been taking therapy this hole time and its a big part of her life, probably what will help her to overcome the entire mess that is coming up, with Dan now trying to proof he is innocent it wont be easy for Ellen, she might get involve and things could turn ugly, who knows if Dan still has some secrets he never told his family and there still the doubt if Dan really killed her or not, we already know he doesn’t do well with though circumstances, after all getting denied the position for judge is what let him to take bad decisions and ended up with Alex and a very toxic “relationship” at least that’s what Alex thought this was, for her the one night thing was over and now DEMANDS more attention, she wants him to spend the night when she clearly knows he is married and cant do that but its then when her true colors came up, its on this Episode 2 that we see the start of this Fatal Attraction.

Numbers for this series started very low and as I always mention it always looks worst than it really is, not all viewers are motivated to leave a review after watching a movie or a tv series, its only those that either feel passionate about it or felt really disappointed and wants their money and time back, but most reviews are from the second half, on IMDB at the moment of this post the score has climbed to 5.9/10 over all and this Episode 2 got a 7.1/10, over all a total of 1.2k reviews that’s a good amount of people putting their opinion out there.

Dan and Alex are starting by getting to know each other too much, they both already know what they want from each other but they going through that high school romance where they just cant stop talking about their likes, friends, work experience, parents basically about everything that makes them feel good sharing tons of information and just cant stop talking, this scene really annoy me, just too sweet for my taste, for Dan it cant be more perfect because his wife and daughter are out of town on a school activity and he has the entire night for himself. Another lawyer comes next to Dan asking him why he hates him, they seem to have a case in common and Dan is kicking his ass, Dan gets distracted and Alex goes out the restaurant leaving him a note that she is going to another bar, they met over there and just kept talking and talking same thing until she goes to the bathroom and all of the sudden the fire alarm goes off and water rain down on them, I WAS 200% SURE this was her doing.

When it comes to this type of situations women are way smart than men, that night after he was talking and laughing that much she knew she had him, he had no chance of getting out of it, she sets the fire alarm and it start spraying water so she knew they would either go some place to get their cloth dry and what other place more convenient than her apartment, besides they are just co workers right? , they do go to her apartment and after an awkward moment for Dan where he didn’t know what to do, he is not getting any younger so not a dating guy, he almost got out of the apartment without a scratch but right the moment he was getting to the elevator after saying good bye, Alex comes out the apartment, it would take a lot of self control, power and focus to not going back into the apartment with her for Dan and most men under that situation, lets make clear I’m not saying its correct or men are just like that, I’m just saying get on the role and try to imagine what would the experience of been there be like. I really like how so far both actors are developing their characters, it really felt like there was a connection between them, so they spend the night, I let the rest to your imagination.

The next day Dan comes home and his dog was left alone the entire night, fuck it up everywhere, at this point he probably thought, IF HE WAS THINKING, I fuck it up once but I can control it, right the next they he goes to the beach with Alex and his dog, kept talking and talking about themself until they end up again at her apartment, it was a wild weekend for Dan and his dog.

I have never been a fan of going out of having a relationship with someone work related, I have always thought it was bad for business, work environment, either if things go well or not, always consider it a distraction and its true, when you are starting to go out with someone knew, starting a relationship in your work environment it will always be distracting and when things go south can turn really really bad when you mix feelings with work and that’s exactly what is about to happen here with Dan and Alex, as they spend more time together it creates a feeling that they moving forward at least for one of them, its always like that unless the rules has been set from the start but in this case it was not, this is a wild adventure and both are free to take it they way they think it is, for one could be just that an adventure for the other could be something serious in the future. They start to see each other at work, most Dan fault because he assign work to Alex through her boss Conchita, this gives her the perfect excuse to see him and they just cant kept their hands on their pockets, they are now having spicy encounters at work places, savage rabbits fucking everywhere they can.

The series move back and forward on the timeline, for now the most relevant part is what happen between Dan and Alex but latter on when the investigation kicks in by Dan his daughter, ex wife and his friend Mike who I think was his defendant lawyer, will become more important to the story. Mike goes to Dan’s ex wife place to let her know and Ellen that he talk to Dan and they going to work on his case again, proof his innocence, Dan’s ex wife, Beth, is not a fan of this and she probably doesn’t want to see him but for sure doesn’t hate him after she mention he shouldn’t loose the rest of his life for this women he already lost fifteen years to her, an ex wife who hate you would say drop dead or go back to jail really doesn’t matter to her.

Elle had a really good relationship with her father, she is confuse and doesn’t know how much close she wants him for now, I think that’s her fear since its one of the things she most discuss with her therapist.

Dan keeps fucking Alex like there is no tomorrow, every night, every moment they have alone but the worst is that he didn’t set the rules from the start, if you are not going into a relationship and its just that fucking you need to set the rules at least if this moment comes “what were we doing?” that’s Alex thinking they will now start a relationship or there is already a relationship between them, from here its all fucked up for Dan, Alex knew exactly what she wanted and probably had good intentions but she is not the one who knows how to handle disappointment or rejection.

If you are with a women and the fire alarms goes out, suspiciously after she goes to the bathroom, that’s a BIG RED FLAG, she is manipulating the situation to create an outcome based on what she wants, the problem is that now she is affecting others, its a small detail that could have stop Dan when he had the chance but now its too late, they had this fight because he dress up minutes after they fuck so she felt he was in a hurry, the hole thirty minute fights about why he always have to go after fucking but before he goes she ask him “how many do you think it would take?…Pills” TF she now took a bunch of pills to kill herself because Dan cant stay. Dan takes her to the hospital but she was bluffing, never went in and he took her back to her place, eventually he goes but now with a HUGE problem he will have to deal with, worst part remember how I said things can turn really bad with a toxic relationship at work, well that’s what this is, I’m intrigue on how Dan will handle this, he will probably try to soft things out with Alex and she will turn extremely possessive.

I’m glad to be right about this series, after the Pilot, Episode 1, the rest of the episodes on IMDB have gotten a very good score up to 7.8/10, this is my second episode and find it really interesting, yes its predictable the entire part of Dan and Alex relationship but if this turns out to be a series of more than one season then there will be plenty of story to develop, at some point the series will be more about the present life of Dan trying to proof his innocence and that he didn’t kill Alex, for now I believe him based on Alex actions but this entire situation was his fault, he didn’t know how to handle the turn down of not getting elected judge and start doing stupid shit, this includes start doing Alex or if he is not the type of guy who doesn’t fuck people from work then at least makes things clear for her from the start. Alex show her true colors on this episode, making clear she is not the type of woman who handles very well rejection and her feelings get her to do stupid things like faking she took a bunch of pills only to make a stupid out of herself the moment she is at the hospital door and ask Dan to take her back, very childish from her part but hey that’s what makes this series a classic Fatal Attraction right, I’m very intrigue to what happens next, a bit behind on this series and most since I couldn’t make my daily post regular so far for this month, I will work hard to get back on track.

After on Episode 2, Camille realize what really happen when she was a child, that after all she was the one responsible for her trauma against alcohol, its true that her father shouldn’t leave her alone with wine but he did told her plus she been training for him for quite some time and was aware of the rules, she was not ready yet to drink wine and been a child she decided to try it, it was too much for her body to take it, an entire glass of wine cause her a trauma that all of the sudden seems to be overcome all because of her desire to win the contest for her father inheritance, a trauma that lasted years gone because how excited she is but I wonder if its because of the contest? the inheritance? or perhaps its because of Thomas, there could be multiple motives that take Camille to this extreme decision, I say extreme because the moment she decided to drink wine again she was exposing herself not necessarily to death but serious damage, keep in mind every time she drank wine started to bleed from her nose non stop to the point of black out, there was also pressure from Thomas and his father Phillip who kept saying that just sniffing the wine wont be enough to win this contest against Issei Tomine who was trained by Alexander himself, she is probably facing a top notch sommelier.

Now that Camille is finally tasting wine again she manage to identify the components or at least what she think the components are, at this point things are very uncertain, Camille just started tasting wine after many years of having this extreme reaction to alcohol, Camille identify the components of the wine she tasted at Tokyo as Mirabelle, blueberry, celery root, cacao, pencil, chalk, fern, clay, licorice, not a very common combination and to a certain point misleading but only Phillip knows this because he has tasted this wine before, a wine from 1986 from a Tourine winegrower called Andre Gigon who used an old grape variety no one has used since World War II, called the Lignage and he manage to both create a red and white wine who very often confuse people, Phillip and Thomas finds out all bottles were sold the last one five years ago at the time of the series at the modes price for $10k per bottle, Camille don’t have that amount of money to spend on a bottle even if she cold find one so Thomas takes the drastic decision to take Camille and pay a visit to Andre but they went bankrupt in 1996 so who knows if they still have any bottles around.

Thomas and Camille make the trip to find Mr. Andre Gigon, when they arrive their was no vineyard, after all they went bankrupt so it was all gone, Camille and Thomas had some time to chit chat during on their way to Mr. Gigon and out of no where Thomas asks Camille if she is seen some one, I think this question confuse her, to this point of the series its no secret she likes him but they haven’t had that alone moment to clear things out. When they arrive Mr. Andre Gigon was old and his son live with him, they seem to be alone and accept to talk to Camille, Gigon’s son talks a bit about how they knew using old grapes that no body knew about was key for the wine to be successful but they were a small company with limited budget for marketing and they didn’t produce large volume neither, at first selling bottles for 40 franks to latter on find out that the last bottles were sold for $10k USD a mind blowing reality, been successful but just too late for them, he and his father had to sell everything to pay debts and close the company. This trip was not so useful for Camille her success on the contest but at least she was explained that from the same vintage they could make either red or white wine meaning both having same aromas despite the color something that may confuse people and Gigon’s son also gave her a hint that the bottle she was probably looking for could be a Lignage, vintage 1987.

One Episode 1 Camille was not ideally pleased of how Luca receive her, he pick her up from the airport on a small white cargo bus and she judge him by his car but now she knows Luca is a baller, big boss restaurant owner but wont “open a bottle worth 12,000 euros just for could be” but Miyabi had an idea of who could open that bottle and then Camille would have to hustle out her way to taste this wine, one of Luca big customer is has reservation for that night and he is known to close deals every time he arrives so he has no weakens to spend large on wine, but the problem for Camille is that Mr. Matsubara never leaves a single drop behind, they going to offer him the bottle and if he agrees then at least Camille will have the chance to figure out how to taste it, Luca will have the bottle send out from Osaka to Tokyo and ready for Mr. Matsubara.

Miyabi who is Lucha Sommelier and Lorenzo his nephew are put in charge of Camille, to “train” her on how to serve the wine and take care of the table for the night without knowing they were wasting her time, Camille was told this ritual by his father when she was eight years old putting them to shame, what a troll Camille can be some times.

The night comes, Mr. Matsubara arrives with his client and Miyabi who is Luca Sommelier introduce Camille as the one in charge to serve Mr. Matsubara wine for the evening, everything goes according to the plan, from now on Miyabi and Lorenzo became part of Camille team to find this mysterious wine she tasted once for the competition, Camille was able to sneak a single drop of Mr. Matsubara wine but it was not, the bottle Luca had was 1990 and Mr. Gigon’s son told her she was looking for a 1987 which could make all kind of difference, Camille start feeling desperate feeling all her effort is a waste of time but then again Thomas comes to the rescue.

Remember this TV Series is based on the popular manga of the same name, at times the decisions and actions that characters take feel like out of a manga, some of them very extreme and laughable at, all it took for Thomas to go to Tokyo is heard Camille sad about the contest over the phone, was as when they went to visit Mr. Gigon for a $10k bottle, he took off with Camille like it was nothing.

Luca gave Camille full access to his cellar without limits to take and taste what ever bottle of wine she needs to and win the contest.

From now on we will see more of Lorenzo and Miyabi, a love story out of a manga, how silly Lorenzo is when it comes to Miyabi and how she clearly feels for him, starting to laugh at the silly lovely things he does for her like in this case they are at a Karaoke drinking to free their mind and help Camille, basically taking the rest of the night off and a break for this quest they are part of now.

Camille keeps getting this mix signals from Thomas, like when he ask her if she is seen someone, taking her to potentially buy a $10k wine bottle and now taking a flight to Tokyo just to help her, I think for at least 70% of human population that’s been way too helpful if there is not some kind of interest or benefit from this contest, besides Thomas is not getting anything from Alexander inheritance so why put so much effort on helping Camille?, he gets a called from his girlfriend and goes out of the bar to talk to her, didn’t look too excited to talk to her, while watching a rusty bike an idea came to him, it was not celery root what Camille taste it was the oxidation of the wine, they were totally off.

After spending the rest of the night trying to find that single bottle of wine it came to Lorenzo, the wine they looking for has to be a great wine over 2006, oxidation is key and only two wines with this characteristics could be the one Camille is looking for but Lorenzo said it would be better to identify what makes them different, its either a Cheval Blanc with classic maturation on new barrels or The Vega Sicilia Unico staying for at least six years in oak old barrels, so she basically screwed without the correct wine and trying to identify this on the fly, with no where to go or ask the day of the contest comes and Camille had it, Cheval Blanc 1999 but at the last minute change her mind for 2000, its worth mentioning that it took Issei just a few minutes to identify the correct wine and didn’t hesitate, he is well trained and has been constantly tasting wine for all those years that Camille didn’t, she could be talented but experience is on Issei side, although his family is not supporting him at all on this quest except his father, that side of the story for me is still not relevant enough but on next episodes its a side story that starts to pick up.

So far this series is proven to have an awesome story, the manga is so popular so I was not expecting less than this, the story is getting better and better, seems like its that time of the year where very few action TV Series are release and most are drama series, Issei story so far is not that relevant but its starting to be, for now all I know is that his family is rich, he doesn’t want anything to do with it and its trying to create his own company as a great Sommelier. As I mention the story does have that funny way of doing things, where characters take crazy last minute decisions without thinking much about consequences and been able to leave everything behind.

A Small Light : Pilot – Episode 1 – Personal Thoughts

This is a Mini Series I was waiting for, I’m a sucker for War movies and series, even thought this was presented as a drama during the World War II its still very interesting, but this is a series I will have to be very careful with I’m going to post about it, there are very sensitive topics about what happen during those times, for me rather than a drama and thriller series I will treat it as an educational series based on all the things that are told, everything that happen during those times, back then things were very tense, there was betrayal, murder, abuse, friends snitching on friends and family to survive, a lot of very bad things inhuman things happen during that time that need to be respected, I might get carry away some times but my intention is not to disrespect anyone.

Because of where this story is develop there are actors that I have no clue who they are but there are others like Liev Schreiber and Joe Cole that I’m more familiar with, after watching the first two episodes got to say the cast really does a great job, have no complains about the cast or the production, A Small Light has been a hit with a 8.2/10 on IMDB as known a very high score, other than the entertaining aspect I cant say anything about inconsistencies on the story since I’m don’t know much about Anne Frank story or Miep Gies the two main characters.

This drama develops in Amsterdam, involve Miep Gies played by Bel Powley and Anne Frank played by Billie Boullet, Miep becomes the secretary of Anne’s father Mr. Otto Frank after her step – parents wanted her to marry one of her step brothers since she had no job and no husband but eventually she got the job as Otto’s secretary, Anne is a young girl who questions everything and have no fear to say what is on her mind. The Frank family had to go into hiding after the Germans invade Amsterdam, they are jew and during those times anything can happen to them, Mr. Frank asks Miep to help them while they hiding bringing them food and medicine which becomes a very difficult task after some time for that amount of people, the amount of people hiding were four at first and then increase with time, Miep has good heart and agree to help on the spot without questioning, right from the first episode there were a few tense scenes that I thought some one was going to get killed. The day before Mr. Frank had planned to go hiding his older daughter Margot got called to work at a German camp and they had to do all kind of things to rush into hiding and prevent her to get taken to the German camp.

Episode one starts with Miep who is the girl in the center of this image and the franks, the girls, Anne on her right and Margot on her left, Miep is about to get Margot to the hiding place first since she has been already ask to report to be transfer to a German camp but they have to go through a military checkpoint, Margot knows what they are facing, they could easily be killed on the spot for many reasons, Margot had no ID, not wearing the yellow start assign to Jews only during that time and Margot she was about to shit a brick and who wouldn’t facing such adversity during war times, with Miep cunning they manage to pass the checkpoint.

This is Casmir played by Laurie Kynaston he is the main reason Miep gets to the Franks, as I mention Miep is adopted and his step parents wanted her to marry Casmir since she got no job or husband, well Casmir cares for her very much besides he doesn’t want to get married to Miep mainly because he prefer men, he gets Miep and interview with Mr. Frank where she has to go through a series of days making Jam since she has no experience as secretary until Mr. Frank explains her she was basically training before she could talk to their clients she needed to know how to make Jam.

Miep likes to party with her friend Tess and on her first pay day she decide to have some fun at a local bar, they went dancing both alone without couple and Miep decided she needs a man and there was Jan her future husband sitting there reading a book while everyone was dancing, Miep tries to hit it off with Jan but at first it doesn’t work, he starts talking about the book he is reading but at the same time she felt he was trying to lecture her so she eventually left without telling him as he waits for her next to the band, days latter they met again after Miep stop by his place by accident looking for a woman who is selling kittens and she wants one for Anne and Margot.

Next day it was Mr. Frank birthday and his wife plan a dinner where some friends including Miep were invited and she brought Jan, they start talking about politics and how Holland wouldn’t be taken by the Germans as they are neutral, Miep was very naive to believe so and Jan remain very neutral by not giving his opinion at all but Mr. Frank already went through that situation back in Venice where he originally is from. Mr. Frank already knew what was going to happen, in Venice they were already discriminated for been jew and if the Germans take Amsterdam he knows they will have to go into hiding, when that happen he already had a couple of weeks working with Miep and understood he could trust her because she was the one he put in charge of his company while he run the business in the background.

On May 15, 1940 a few days latter after Mr. Frank birthday, Miep believed Holland wouldn’t be taken and that they were not in any kind of danger, German troops arrive Amsterdam, it only took them a few days and now the troops and the Queen are gone leaving Amsterdam to the Germans, Mr. Frank already went through this situation and knows the best thing to do is keep working as if nothing has change, at that point in war Germans were strong and had no need to destroy Amsterdam, it seems it was used as a camp on their way to France, I’m no expert on the matter so I might be wrong about it, at least that’s how things look on the series, while Miep is very worried about whats going on Mr. Frank takes it like this is nothing new to him.

On afternoon at work, Mr. Frank calls Miep to his office, he wanted to talk to her about a serious matter, I thought she was going to be fired at first mainly because of the decline in the economy, I thought Mr. Frank was going to giver her a speech about how bad things are for the business and had to let her go, as I usually do never research a series before start watching it, I prefer to be surprise and go through the experience to then build and opinion, I didn’t know Mr. Frank would have to go hiding and it was the main context of the series, he had to rush into hiding because Margot was selected to work on a German camp, that afternoon he explain Miep how he and his family has to hide and that he choose her to help them get food and medicine while they hide to protect his daughter, she immediately say yes and this brings her a few inconvenience at home with her now husband Jan who think it was very selfish from her to take such decision without consulting him first, Miep thinks she didn’t have to as it is the right thing to do, help Mr Frank and his family but it doesn’t only put them both at risk but anyone who is related to them, friends and family, plus the entire hustle that is moving all the Frank’s stuff to the hiding place, transport Margot without letting the Germans take her, getting them food, eventually Jan agree to help Miep after all he loves her and knows its the right thing to do.

Usually on this World War II theme series Germans have lots of spies and I think Miep’s friend Tess is one of them, one night after they meet for dinner she kept talking about the matter, how Jews are hiding and specially ask for Mr. Frank but Miep has very clear she cant tell anyone, eventually she tells Jan but she cant hide it from him, she lives with the man, is her husband but besides Jan she understood she cant trust anyone including Tess, I have a feeling eventually Tess sell them out.

A Small Light is a very entertaining drama based on real events, there is suspense and drama all the time, we will have moments almost on every episode where some one is on the edge to be discover, betrayed, arrested or kill since what they were doing was totally illegal and goes against the German rules, again I don’t know how accurate this series is to the real life events but its very interesting so far, production, cast, scenery, everything looks very high quality in terms of the film, 8/10 is a no brainier for this mini series.

Silo is turning to be a series full of details and I like it, all this relics that they call, it almost feels like this series comes out of a game with characters collecting clues of human history, both Sheriffs and the Mayor keep saying that they don’t know when or who created the Silo, I find hard that living in a coffinite space for that amount of people no body knows this and essentially that is the reason why Holston and his wife died, they were both trying to prove they were trick into staying inside the Silo.

Silo is getting a lot of acceptance online, with a 8.4/10 that’s a very high score on IMDB although it worry me a bit that when I open the review section there was no negative review, all reviews are positive and the lowest score was 7, I never fully trust this sites so I prefer to balance between IMDB and RTT then met half way and make conclusion of really how high or low can the score be but in this case might be irrelevant because the series is very good specially now that Rebecca Ferguson has come out playing the character of Julliet Nichols, an engineer who lost her boyfriend George Wilkins, everyone says he commit suicide but she knows he didnt, there was no reason to, George for over two years have been analyzing the data form an old hard drive Kathleen Billings help him to recover data from, once George told Julliet that what he is about to discover might get them killed just to have that knowledge.

The episodes starts with Sheriff Holston asking to go out, the only reason we know he wants to go out now is because he wants to be with his wife and now has the same doubts as her after he confiscate a hard drive from Julliette, same hard drive that George and Kathleen were looking at, the episode works on a reverse timeline where it shoes first Holston going out of the Silo to clean up the camera lenses and see the world form himself, on this scene we have a large group of people cheering for Holston to clean up the camera lenses as he goes out.

After he goes out this is suppose to be how the outside looks but I have my doubts, Kathleen before going out told Holston that what appears on the screens an illusion to keep them inside so how created that illusion? is the Mayor aware? could the Silo been a big gigantic battery as in the Matrix or is it a source of food for those living on the surface? there are many theories I can come up with but there is a conspiracy, the outside was everything his wife told him it would be, but after he cleans the camera then he suffocates, those inside the Silo assume its a venom from the outside but Holston different than his wife and any other human that went outside takes off his helmet, I assume because he was running out of oxygen or there was something inside his suit, this suits they are giving to go out are very rudimentary and doesn’t look like it would protect them properly, I think that there is no venom outside, I think they are poison before they go out, the Mayor or someone in charge puts something on their oxygen tank they have on their backs, one of the workers when hanging out at the cafeteria mention all those who go out die about three minutes latter, so how does the poison gets inside his helmet? is it because it was already on his oxygen tank or the suit is not hermetic?

Inside the Silo doesn’t seem to be too many guards or lets say police men, when Holston die they are one sheriff less and I cant believe this creates chaos but it seems it does, Deputy Brooks is send out to assist the citizens causing problems until they are interrupt by Sims, played by Common, that’s the only time we see him on the episode and I have no clue who he is, does he works with the Mayor? are they some kind of civil guards? mafia? got no idea, the fact is that when he arrives everyone makes silence and he ask his two body guards to get the names of the ones causing problems then they left.

When Holston died Juliette scream “HE LIED” , Juliette goes to what looks a local repair shop to “work” on things that need repair but she doesn’t, she just want to vent out, this is Martha Walker’s shop, she knows Juliette since she was very little so told her to start talking.

The episode rewind and go back to the last time Juliette and George talk, he told her that something big happen but cant tell her because there was too many people, they were at the cafeteria, decided to meet latter at her place but he never appear, he just left a note saying “I found what I was looking for”, the next day at the cafeteria one of her co workers Cooper tell her the news, George jump out the corridor falling into the stairs instantly died, George suicide. Juliette knew that was not true, she suspects someone kill him so ask for the help of Deputy Hank who then ask Sheriff Holston to review the case, that’s when Juliette meet Holston on episode one, after talking about how she was related to George and the note he left she tells Holston she may now why he was killed and there is something she wants to show him, Holston.

Juliette takes Holston to this hidden area that has a huge excavator, they suspect was use to dig to build the Silo, she believes the Mayor knows about it but never talk, this cave is hidden from the Silo, they access it through a hole in a wall on the most deep side of the Silo, they go straight down to the bottom of the cave, part of it is full of water and George had a bed with lots of things he have found, most are what they call relics, basically vintage stuff that most are illegal but the reason they are illegal is because it might reveal the true story before the Silo was created, the Silo its a big conspiracy that the government inside is trying to keep as a secret keeping people ignorant about the subject.

Hidden under water they found a bag with probably George’s most precious findings, inside there was a hard drive and its here where Juliette finds out Holston knew George because Alison his wife was working with him and Holston knew everything about it but he is a man of the law, this time he decided to bend the law and keeps the hard drive, telling Juliette he would help her find out how George died for real, she scream HE LIED! because he tool the hard drive and never really help her investigate George murder, he took the information for himself and then goes out that’s why I think she said he lied.

What Juliette didn’t know is that Holston nominate Juliette as her successor, probably he left all the information he found hidden on this apartment for her to have it but that was stupid, the Mayor would never make Juliette sheriff, although the Mayor wants to meet her and a sheriff will clean up Holston place, question is if who that sheriff is and will he find Holston treasure bag?

The episode jumps back in time again to a moment Juliette and George were together on their hideout at the bottom of the cave where he had all the relics, George told her there is a door at the bottom at the end of a tunnel, question is where does this door takes them? out side? problem is its under water and Juliette is scare of water, George says he will go down and be careful but we don’t know if he really did, probably that was the thing he wanted to talk about with her before he died, Juliette now in the present decides to go down but she is so scared, the episode ends with her hanging from a rope close to fall in the water.

So far the only thing I don’t like is how episodes end with literally people hanging, episodes end with a void for continuation, as I mention this series has so so many details involve on the history of the Silo, George murder, why Holston and Alison decided to go out, there is a huge conspiracy but its too soon to tell even if the Mayor is part of it, just because they are the law doesn’t mean they are part of the conspiracy, they could be used by others too, I cant find anything wrong about this series so far, its great in every aspect, actors, drama, thrill, music, the production looks very sharp with the scenarios, top quality, until now its an 8/10 for me.

Fatal Attraction TV Series is BASED on 80’s drama of the same name, a movie that for the time was a bit over the line for some, rated R consider severe nudity, a movie that now days would be just fine compare to some TV series out there were you constantly see fully naked woman and me like its nothing because its part of the age where the story is develop. Fatal Attraction was neither a big hit but for sure is a classic that many remember, I was too young to watch it back then, this movie was played by Michael Douglas as Dan Gallagher a lawyer prosecutor and Glenn Close as Alex Forrest a lawyer assistant who had an affair, as the name of the movie mentions it was fatal.

I think most of the critics are from people who did watch the movie in the 80’s and are expecting this TV series to be a replica of the movie but I’m on the camp that it CAN NOT HAPPEN, this is not a TV Series based on a comic that has hundreds of volumes and enough story line to even make two or three movies besides the TV Series, we are talking that they are creating a TV Series that each episode is over forty five minutes, eight episodes per season that’s like three times length of the original movie so yes they have includes things that didn’t happen on the movie but keeping the essence, you cant expect Dan and Alex be fucking on the first episode and on the second having a knife fight.

I have only watch the first episode and find it good, not very good but good enough to keep me entertain, focus and wanting to watch the second episode, I think actors are doing a good job at taking their characters to life, Joshua Jackson who have work on great projects like Oceans Eleven, Cruel Intentions, The Affair just to mention a few, as Dan Gallagher and Lizzy Caplan from Truth Be Told, Castle Rock, Cloverfield playing Alex Forrest, this two playing the main characters so far are doing a good job at keeping things entertain and starting to build up some tense chemistry for each other with Alex been the one who started the fire.

At RTT this movie has a sixty nine percentage of acceptance by average audience meaning people who just want to be entertain and kill some time while thirty seven percent only from critics, at IMDB the story is not so different with a 5.9/10.

This is a series that at least for episode one goes back and forward in time, for some viewers that might be distracting and confuse at some times since the episodes does it without any warning and get you to those moments of “oohhh ….” when you actually connect the dots, Dan has been in jail for fifteen years after he was found guilty of the murder of Alex Forrest and is paroled, as his first step he decides to connect with his family specially with his daughter because his wife most likely wont see him, Dan tells a justice board government how he cant stop thinking about what he did, how he did it and why he did it to understand himself, it sounded very convincing besides the has been a good boy inside prison all this years, the board will consider if he can go on paroled, on this hearing was his daughter Ellen but he didn’t notice.

Before everything went to hell, Dan was a very successful lawyer working for the government as prosecutor with a great record, a family man, dedicated to job, wife and daughter, clean record, smart, everyone at work like him and was always willing to help others with their different cases, he was waiting in line to be elected as judge but his wife for some reason keeps suggesting to working for a private firm that he doesn’t need to be judge but becoming a judge if I’m not wrong is a dream come true for most lawyers, its probably the pinnacle of a career, there might be higher positions but been judge is when you actually make it, on average I think lawyers might consider it the case.

Dan and Alex meet for the first time after one of Alex coworker Conchita cant make it to court, she sends Alex instead to persecute a man for murder, they talk to the family victims giving them a few instructions on how to behave in front of the jury, basic lawyer instructions, after that moment they start to see each other more often not necessarily like Dan was looking for Alex but the opposite, Alex is a beautiful woman and its not secret that other lawyers friend of Dan wont mind banging Alex.

Dan had dinner with his wife family for his birthday, he is now 40, waiting in line to become a judge but not only his wife told him that’s not necessary but I think I know from where she gets that, from her father, Dan father in law starts questioning his decision to become judge, about the dressing code with the rope, how been a judge makes no difference for him, how little money he would make with all the responsibility to take, how his judge salary wouldn’t cover a private school for Ellen, Dan takes a lot of shit from others but to be honest they might be right.

Dan gets called by the judge who he is going to replace to let him know he didn’t get the position and wont become a judge, he will now have to wait another four years if he still wants it, he didn’t gets de judge position because of a corrupted move from the governor, this tip him over badly and start talking shit how he didn’t want the job anyways, gets drunk, lets to his first close encounter with Alex, Dan to a near restaurant where most that work at court go to have a drink and there was Alex, they have a short talk and that was it but then he goes back to his office to pick up his car keys and cross her on the elevator where she makes the first lets say proposal to him, to pull the alarm button for the elevator and let it stop just to find out what happens, he was begging him to fuck her right there but the moment she was going to pull the button some other lawyers get into the elevator, Dan was a bit drunk but heavily distracted by everything that happen that day now have to deal with Alex, he ends up crashing his car. After this he starts looking for Alex but didn’t want others to know, he was into her and wants her, this is when his entire life starts to go down hill.

Going back to the present, Dan gets on paroled, Ellen decides to meet him even after her mom told her she didn’t want to but also told her that shouldn’t be the reason she doesn’t meet his father, they met and Dan explains Ellen his plan, first he only said he was guilty and did that time to get out, he didn’t kill Ellen and now that he is out he will prove it.

How is that not entertaining, an ex lawyer with nothing to loose who manipulated the system to get out and now is going to prove he is innocent, it will all depend how sane he is after all that time and going through the experience of been in jail for that long.

This episode was very informative as an episode one should be, there is a clear story of what initially happen and the basics of how it started, there is context to the story, I like the back and forward on the time line, there is not much to say besides what I said on the intro, the episode score a 6.8/10 on IMDB and was very good, I will keep watching this series, at the moment of this post its already on episode four so I will have to do some catch up, maybe two episodes per week until I catch up.

Pure disappointment, for everything else that happen before episode 6 this is probably the worst finish they can give to this short series because I am almost sure there is no season two after this ending, besides the special effect putting Marissa face on NiJah was terrible, this entire series felt lest say unique at first, the documentary episode is something I don’t remember seen before but after episode 5 everything went down hill, gets me to think that this was a MASSIVE TROLL to the Beehive community LOL, if you have watch all previous episodes then episode 7 became very predictable and I most likely knew what was going to happen.

– Already know Dre roles with the name Tony
– She will go to a concert and jump to the stage
– Soon or latter would kill Rashida after she said didn’t like Nijah

Its seriously like Glover and Nabers ran out of ideas and let his assistant finish the series, what kind of message you give viewers explaining that for Dre, Marissa and Nijah were at the same level of person for her because she love them the same and that’s how she found acceptance for been different, because after all Dre was like she was after she was return and everyone including Marissa parents gave her the back, I can understand that but you cant let slide the fact that Dre was killing people left and right just because they didn’t like Nijah which is twice twisted, killing because they disagree, killing because they don’t like Nijah, killing because make her feel powerful so you overlook all that because Dre needed acceptance?? this series navigate behind the narrative that society is guilty for creating monsters like Dre? they had the perfect opportunity to let Dre get caught and may be do like a flash back to the moment everything went wrong for her and introduce a character that protects her and comfort her, provide her guidance and let know society how this kind of problems can be avoided from start not with this bullshit of final episode.

Dre in this case Tony meets Rashida out side of a club, Tony for some reason was smoking weed, chilling out side, Rashid and her roommate were trying to get home and couldnt get a driver so Tony offer to, Rashida is very beautiful and she knows it also she is a woman who feels powerful taking decisions, staying above others, brutally honest and do what she wants.

Whats that meme…..silly ways to die?? yup Rashida tells Tony to her face that she hates Nijah after she was going to play some music to chill and Nijah song came up. Joking Rashida said Tony is too chill and could be a good serial killer, Dre: hold my beer, death to you, incoming!!! from this point it was obvious Rashida would not change her way to think about Nijah for the reasons I mention, the way she is.

Tony and Rashida start dating to the point Tony meet her parents, they had lunch, Tony said a bunch of lies, their parents believe all her bullshit, they kept seen each other to eventually start living together but the strong hand on the relationship was Rashida, this are the moments a serial killer can stop because they finally find something that satisfy them, in this case seems Tony/Dre felt good with Rashida that make her forget about the Nijah thing, besides Rashida was very explicit with how she doesn’t like Nijah at all, the think its just a money grab artist.

Predictable as fuck, Dre kills Rashida after she abuse her psychologically, I agree this shouldn’t happen but that’s human nature, some can control the things we say when we are mad and others don’t ending up saying and doing things they might regret… but that NEVER gives the right for the victim to end the life of the aggressor.

Dre had the wonderful idea to set Rashida on fire, kinda of a funeral?? she got her all wrapped in white sheets and was dress white and remember Rashida put the tickets inside her pants pocket so now she got no tickets, got to the concert and a ticket reseller agree to sell her some tickets but she got no money so she decided to stab the guy to death cold blood inside a car again that’s fucking messed up, just to see Nijah Dre kills a man, just because Rashida disagree with her about Nijah she kills her knowing from day one after a year dating that she doesnt like her so she again tries to force her in Nijah, Rashida snaps and now she dead.

Eventually Dre gets into the concert and jumps to the stage where security stops her and Nijah told them to stop and let Dre free, this is what she sees Marissa on Nijah face, wtf is this bullshit visual effect, after all the killing, after robbing people, spending there money, staying at their homes, stealing their identity, its all fine because Dre found closure on Nijah, fuck off.

If you read my recaps from episode one to five you will see I really enjoy the series, how different it is, the format, the production, the gore side, Dre insanity, there were many things I like even episode six I consider it good but this last episode was a bunch of bullshit, for this episode only I would give it a five if not a four out of ten, there were million other positive ways to end the series, I understand there is a message behind it but letting Dre go without consequences was the worst ending they could come up with, you cant kill people and all the rest of crimes Dre committed with the excuse that you have been abused and had a bad childhood, because that’s the message most people will get out of it.

Rabbit Hole : Ace in the Hole – Episode 7 – Personal Thoughts

Season one is over but it close leaving me thinking there might not be a second season, a few things that I thought would happen played as I thought for example Jo Madi ended working with John, Crowley controlling people based on pure dirt on them using their data against them that’s how he got Valence kill himself, this episode its all about giving in and getting Homm to the public with the entire story, one thing I curious is why the information that Jo Madi gave his boss didn’t reach Crowley or at least they doesn’t mention it but what surprise me is how John played out everyone with his “ex wife” since the start specially Jo Madi who always though she was ahead of John she did find out about his team that they were dead when he had no clue and only his father knew because he saw the intern kill them but the hole investigating John ex wife without him knowing ended up exactly as he wanted besides using his father as bait to get Crowley but I think that was a best guess one of those low risk high reward bets. The end of the episode felt a bit rush with Olivia putting down all Crowley body guards in less than five minutes after getting out of handcuffs that throw me off, I was expecting a longer story line, negotiation between John and Crowley but it never happen, after Olivia kills all Crowley body guards basically the episode was over, I knew the intern didn’t wanted to work with Crowley, he mention it once to his girlfriend but as the rest Crowley had some dirt on him, Crowley through the series was never respected as other criminal bosses but it was purely on data, he calls anyone he had all his data and after a few minutes of telling them so much about their life he got them.

Season one ends and Rabbit Hole kept over 75% on the TomatoMeter which is very good considering other series like The Mandalorian had a 90% and The Last of Us 96%, Rabbit Hole ended up been a good series although not a AAA series, to put it in perspective its not compared to any of the two I mention in terms of script, production and cast, don’t get me wrong, Rabbit Hole season one was very good but not at that level, I hope there is a second season.

The episodes starts with reporter Debra declaring how the American Protection Act by Nora Evers has become law that would allow intelligence contractors direct access to citizens online data this immediately gives Crowley access to manipulate who ever he wants and sure he did, as in any other conspiracy of take overs you dont have to win an election you just need to get rid of those in power and had the right candidate, Crowley had three federal judges killed shutting down the D.C Circtuit Court, never had to beat this judges in court or politics, just got rid of them.

Since Crowley is not this powerful public figure, he is only a man who pics up the phone and practice hardcore blackmail, John has decided to go public and let the people take care of the rest, now that they have the entire story figure out with the briefcase they got for Senator Evers and Homm still alive, he decided to go to the news and send an invite to reporter Debra to get an interview live with Homm, when he declares everything he knows about Crowley, Senator Evers and everyone Crowley had on this payroll everything would fall down, at least that’s the plan.

Hailey and Joh, after all it seems she is not working for anyone, she did find John on a dating happen and happen to spend a night with one of the manipulative man on earth, there are two ways I can see a second season happen, one is that Crowley is not the boss man just a puppet and second one is John getting more contracts as he was doing but now with Hailey at his side, she is becoming better at the job but I don’t see this feasible, I thought giving the data to Jo Madi was stupid but turns out John was ok with it, he also had Jo Madi under control so I think that’s why it didn’t bother him that much.

John has to meet with the reporter to agree the terms of the interview, Hailey and Homm get to the tv station and Ben is send out to protect John’s ex wife but its not all black and white thats exactly how the following scenes happened, Hailey and Homm were going to make time before they pick up John at the FBI and Ben was never send to protect John’s ex wife he was send as bait to get to Crowley protected by a fkn ninja who also happen to be a Houdini and Jhon Wick at the same time.

John getting caught by the FBI was never planed but a possibility, Jo Madi was not willing to work with him at first but he send Homm pictures to convince her to help him, a possibility that he had a plan for in case it happen that how Jo Madi agree to work with him before they catch him? Im still not sure because he never mention he was going to meet the reporter so how the FBI got him? I guess he did tell Jo Madi about it.

This is suppose to be the final boss, Crowley, this time is him because Ben recognize him, Olivia is actually an agent John had to hired to recue his ex wife after she got kidnap during one of John’s mission for a client, she was involve and he got Olivia to rescue her so for the entire season pretend she was his ex wife after he knew at some point Crowley or others like the FBI would go after his ex wife, Ben and Olivia were kidnap by Crowley’s people and brought to him while John, Homm and Hailey are at the TV station, Crowley tries to stop them but the moment he tries to manipulate John with killing his dad and ex wife John unleash the beast and had Olivia kill every Crowley’s guard so after that it was game over, Ben kills Crowley after some chit chat about the past and his plans, but Ben finds a microphone on Crowleys ear, does that mean he is not the real boss?? this is another reason why there might be a second season.

If this is the end for this series I felt it was rush, how Olivia kills everyone and makes things that easy, also there were a lot of details kept away from scenes what I mean by this is the things that John had planned that never were said for example Olivia, how did he know Ben and Olivia would get kidnap? Jo Madi use the information Hailey gave her to get a promotion why did she decide to work with John, so one day she is on the Devil side and the other on Gods side? the possibilities of a second season for me are minimal now that they kill Crowley, similar to what happen with The Night Agent, they solved the entire story at the end leaving no continuation, anyways a good series after all but was not expecting to end up like this. Over all I give it a 7/10 still very entertaining and the first chapters were very good. I’m planning on doing a season review for an overall of what to expect for someone who has not read any of my episode recap.

Florida Man : The Chain – Episode 3 – Personal Thoughts

I like series that go back and forward in time it makes you try to figure out whats next and some times trick you into assuming things and getting to conclusions that latter on are wrong, the story and the characters are not that interesting, actors are OK but its mostly about figuring out whats going to happen next, almost everyone has a fight with each of the characters, Moss with Mike, Mike with his Dad, Delly with Mike and the most recent Iris with Mike, few of them are actually friends so that’s the part that keeps me watching Florida Man from time to time, a series I basically use to fill gaps anytime I don’t have anything to watch but its still a solid 7/10, Delly is someone who only thinks about what satisfy her, I have never believe she loves Mike for real he is just her escape vehicle from Moss and any other wrong decision she made and now he can help her reset and start from scratch with the gold they are about to scoop, the truck is on a crater under water and everything is setup to have a crane pull it up, one thing they don’t know the guy operating the crane is on bail for robbing a jewelry store.

From score on RTT you can tell this is a series that a large average viewer audience would find as a good series to watch on a weekly bases but anyone who is use to watch all kind of tv series who is more constant at looking up whats new and consider it a hobby then would rate it very low and that’s fine, that’s critics territory.

The episodes starts with a crazy story, a guy brakes in the Orange County Jail to recover his cellphone that contain incriminating information from a jewelry robbery he is been investigated for that face is going look very familiar latter on as he is Mike crane operator, the one he hired to help him pull the truck out from the hole under water until he find out about Mike’s plan, that’s where everything went south for them.

On previous episode close the end Delly shows up at Mike’s Dad bar probably asking for his help although they also show the USB she stole from Moss, they didn’t actually mention it was Moss USB but you don’t have to run complex calculations to figure it out, ends up Delly was only asking Sonny to help her find where the gold is, at that very moment Mike haven’t told her he found it, another example how cut scenes without immediate definition leaves the viewer thinking on what happens next because on the previous episode I thought Delly was actually working with Sonny the entire time and I thought it was about whats on the USB not about the gold but the results where totally different, latter on when Mike calls her it turns awkward because now she tells Sonny she doesn’t need his help anymore.

During the episode Moss actually mention the USB and in another scene when talking to one of his guys he said it has work stuff and imagine all the murder, evidence and things he has done that are on that USB, for now its irrelevant since so far its all about the gold but once Mike or Delly get in trouble that USB could turn into a life saver.

After Mike found the truck, well he thinks he found it, there is no evidence there is a truck down there or that there is gold inside, turns out Mike’s brother in law is the contractor in charge to drain the sink hole to turn it into a lake with a bottom of two feet of concrete, would take them about four days and nothing under water has been claim so its an open window for Mike with only one guard at night that could be easily kidnap, distracted or bought although Mike is cheap so he goes the distraction route.

The moment I saw that face I knew things wouldn’t go well for Mike, this guy is the one accuse for braking in jail to recover his phone and bail after the jewelry robbery, he works with Mike’s brother in law, supposedly got him a smart toilet so that’s the excuse Mike use to reach him, on the side offer him cash for someone who can operate a crane and the guy offer himself, it was just a matter of time before he finds out what is on the truck and either take it all or wanted a piece of it.

The night before Mike had planned to pull the job he shows up to the place where the truck is and his father show up too with too of his ex cop partners, they have been following, Sonny was following Mike the entire time anyways because he knew there was something that might interest him from Delly since she is related to Moss but now there is a bigger fish to fry with the gold inside the truck, they start arguing how they will divide the treasure until they figure out an arrangement, that night also Delly finds out of Iris, Mike’s ex wife who happen to be a cop, during a conversation she had with Ray-Ray one of Sonny’s ex cop partner he told her about Iris who ended with Mike as most of the time happens with cops wifes.

For the most part of the series Iris haven’t had an important role on it, by the way Delly got MAD as FUCK when she find out about Iris, I’m not sure if she felt jealous or betrayed or both by Mike, Iris will start getting closer to them and next potentially going to investigate a guy who Moss murder and Delly was part of his alibi, guess what happens when Iris finds out Delly is still alive and she is with Mike.

The night for the job comes and everything is set, Delly had to take care of the guard by faking she has some sort of break down and is about to jump into the sink hole full of water for the guard to convince her to get inside the church next to it and talk about it until she calms down, everything was going well and Mike suit up to go under water, same does Sonny and they trusted Buzz from all to help them with the chain to pull the truck, Buzz had a lot of trouble to concentrate but is loyal to Sonny although not too smart, he mention what he is going to do with the gold to the crane operator before the guy jumps into the crane to start working, after that all is seen is the chain drop on Mike’s head and Sonny had to help him not going deeper into the hole.

I mention at the start that the story is not so interesting and if you don’t pay attention might even get lost with all the going back and forward, scenes sometimes are inconclusive between chapters but at the end makes sense, this is something I think might get viewers off the rails but I still enjoy it, there ware two things I’m looking forward and its Iris going to Florida to investigate the man who Moss murder because he did and how is the crane operator going to betray Mike and the rest of the crew, one detail that fly by during the episode is Delly telling someone over the phone that they will see each other again and she loves him/her , it was a I love you so who knows if its a relative, a lover or even Moss himself, what if this was all a plan to have Mike find the treasure and Moss is using Delly to get to it, see this are the details I like about the series but I’m not anxious to whats going to happen next.
