Silo : The Janitor’s Boy – Season 1 – Episode 5 – RECAP

Episode 5 of Silo : The Janitor’s Boy really tells how the administration, sheriffs and judicial have different interest and agendas for the Silo, for their people, for the structure and the future. The entire plot about the internal conspiracy from why they are really inside the Silo and if the outside is really safe or not is very interesting but every time they mention how they are confine to this space and how its an eternal circle of people been born and die inside the Silo without really seen the outside world, without experiencing what is to be free makes me sad and claustrophobic, the Silo does look big and when they go through the apartments looks like small corridors of a small city within the Silo so its very big although you can go from top to bottom in a single day as they have mention before so compare to been free outside and travel to any country or place you want makes a lot of difference, you are still limited to planet earth but its way more bigger and you get to meet different people every day, see the world, the landscapes, different cities, been free is just more than what they consider free on the Silo, besides they are not really free as George Wilkins thought and probably discover the reason why there is a conspiracy and why they are all tricked into thinking the outside is not safe and how the Silo population is manipulated by those in high hierarchy charges like judicial or the mayor.

On this episode we also know more about Robert Sims from judicial and his ambition, at the end he tells Trumbull how hard was life for him as a kid, as the Janitor Son, his father was a janitor who was proud of his job and how important it was for the Silo despite of what other said but Robert as a kid probably didn’t think the same and grew up with that ambition of been important and have power to step over those who look him and his father over the shoulder, now as part of judicial he has got part of that power that he wanted but his ambition is bigger than that, Bernard is there to remind him he is in charge and not Robert, as an intern mayor, I think this intern position was all planed and we are soon to discover how they did it, there has to be a network of spies, mics and cameras around the Silo and probably secret passages, rooms and doors that aloud them to control and do things without people noticing.

It seems that the Mayor and Judicial always have plans to been steps ahead of the Silo sentiment, right now after the murder of the mayor and a sheriff people are scared to go out, kids to go to school, adults to go to work because they think a murder is loose out there and they could be next, after all there is not much room to run away, to prevent this chaos the mayor and judicial have come up with ideas to distract people, Sims idea (judicial) is to offer a holiday, Forgiveness Day although Bernard is more creative and came up with a celebration to commemorate Marnes and Ruth as an in love couple who were murder but the narrative is to talk about how great their last years together were, how much they love each other and on that day do things they “like” , for example having a race to the top in honor of Marnes, Robert disagree with the idea but Bernard idea generates a story, more than just giving a day off to the Silo and keep people thinking about a murder that is still out there, this two are going to clash in the future but Bernard is in charge, Robert cant step over him.

As the clever man Bernard is, he tries to guide Jules around Judicial, not for them to be friends but to keep her alive, Im sure he already knows why she took the Sheriff job and wants her to also stay distracted thinking she can solve George murder case but at the same time keeping her away from the truth that might involve either him or Sims, keeping here running in circles but Jules is too smart to fall on that game, she is going to become a problem for Bernard and Sims.

I would say that the first ten minutes of the episode was the interesting part where you have to analyze how Bernard, Robert and Jules think, how they react to each other, Paul Billings was there too but more like a compliance auditor since he knows so much the pact but the real talk and tension was between this all three, Bernard thinking he is the smart one on the room and have everyone figure out, Sims trying to step over Jules and Jules not giving a fuck about anyone and determine to discover what really happens with George.

This scene shows how Ruth and Marnes are buried together as a couple something that was just for married couples based on the pact but Bernard made an exception as the mayor, this was part of his plan for people to think about a couple in love and not about a couple with high hierarchy jobs murder, that was smart.

Jules gives a small speech that really reminds how sad is living within the Silo, how they are all trap without knowing why, how there a large population that knew Ruth as their only Mayor since they were born, this shows the monarchy and monopoly of politics within the Silo.

They are buried at a very low depth in a field of apple threes, everyone bites an apple an throw it at them because they will now serve as fertilizer for the apple threes and all those apples they bite are the seeds, the cycle of life and death within the Silo.

Its all about distractions, shining things and mirrors, but this time Jules caught it right, she front runs Judicial and got Patrick Kennedy under her custody without telling anyone else, few days after Ruth was murder Marnes visit Patrick as a suspect of his witch hunt and got his ass kicked, he was the last person to have an altercation with Marnes and now Judicial wants to incriminate him, Jules picked up that thought fast enough to safe his Patrick’s live but also putting her own at risk, she was going after someone with way more power than her, Sims, who mention at the first scene of the episode how he was visit Marnes the night he died to convince him to make Paul Billings Sheriff so he could have inside man of his own. Jules takes Patrick and then stay around his apartment waiting for someone from Judicial to show up and she was right, Douglas Trumbull a man who was mislead by Sims under the impression he was a candidate to be Sims shadow, he was doing the dirty work for Sims and when Jules caught him in the act of planting false evidence on Patrick’s apartment there was a chase that ends on him pushing Jules over the stairs railing where she almost fall, same as George died, it was an intense scene.

After Douglas failed to plant false evidence on Patrick’s apartment, got discovered by Jules and failed to murder her after he got caught, it was evident that he was a threat to Sims, its here where Sims shows how drunk with power he is and his complex of been the Janitor’s Boy, he gives Douglas a pep talk about how hard was for him to be the Janitor’s Son and how after all the limitations he got to the point he is, even tells Douglas that he is going to be his shadow, the man smiles at Sims of happiness because it but Sims throws him to the bottom of the Silo, this shows how twisted and sick Sims is and he will anything to stay in his position of power, but I’m sure there is more to it, how he kills a man publicly and gets away wit it, there must be an insurance system that lets him manipulate the stories.

I got to say I really enjoy Episode 5 of the Silo: The Janitor’s Boy, there was a lot of suspense and the action scenes were intense, on this Episode Sims starts to become an important character of the story, I remember how I mention this before, we start to see how Bernard and Sims are the ones really in charge of the Silo, from the first two episodes when Bernard was introduce he look like a robot, never thought he could be so sleek, sharp and manipulative, how he came up with the story of Ruth and Marnes been in love to change the narrative around the Silo, Sims show his true colors manipulating Paul, Douglas and telling Jules straight to her face how he is going to work to get rid of her and send her back to mechanical. I still don’t know who killed Ruth and Marnes, going to watch the episode again if cant figure out then probably on the next episode they will figure out the murder.

Silo : The Relic – Season 1 – Episode 6 – RECAP

Episode 6 of The Silo, Season One, reveals the Silo Monitor Center, Jules has a very different perspective from the Silo than many of the people living in it, since she met George she got sucked into this conspiracy that George was trying to unveil but unfortunately for both he ran out of time after he was found dead, allegedly he either jump from one of the stairs rails or someone pushes him; Jules lost interest on the conspiracy theory, the conspiracy has been proven to get you killed after George died and Holston was sent out to clean, but she did step in as a Sheriff initially with the intentions to find out what really happened to George not because Holston ask her too or because it was the right thing to do, serve when duty calls, it was mainly to figure out who killed George but recent events like the death of the Mayor and Deputy Marnes have actually put work on her hands and a motive to be a real Sheriff trying to find out if this conspiracy George was obsessed to reveal also killed this two characters that now were so close to her, down the road this events also push Juliette away from persuing her first goal letting her to think its time to go back home and forget everything that happen but she has a great mentor in Martha who tells her to stay firm on her believes and finish what she started, the seek for the truth of George death and indirectly figure out if there is really something more than the Silo itself out there, it took Juliette a few minutes to put her shit together and move forward, she is after all a women with a very strong character and mind of her own who rarely let others influence on her believes but its hard not to when others are one or two step ahead, on this episode its confirm that everyone on the Silo is been watched both by video and audio, they can see you and listen to your conversations, they know what you did, where you at and what you said, this circuanstances will make you doubt and probably whats exactly what happen to Juliette, yes at first she was chocked by what Kathleen told he about George but she should probably trust more George if she really knew him and think that some things he did he had to do in order to move forward with his investigation, he was constantly walking out of the Silo Law line and probably could not be as straight forward as Kathleen or Juliette may wanted too, women more often than men are hardly impact on their decisions by love, it can even make Juliette doubt about her believes after all she is human, mixed feelings almost tip her over.

From all these DOOMS DAY TV series I think Silo gets very close to what will happen to the planet and the human race if things go south with the climate, humans might be forced to live underground, it really surprises me how on the series things like this candy dispenser, at least that’s what it looks like, is banned, Judicial make it illegal for anyone to have something like it, there is a lot of truth on George words when he said: “why do they make it a risk to our lives to have them?”, the answer to that question is that it sparks to more questions like from where did it come from, are there any more like it? when and why is it here? , these are questions that lead to the main question, why are we hiding on this Silo? because so far nobody mentions why they lived inside the Silo, the only thing close to a reason is that the “founders” knew better and put them there but who are the founders and why did they build the Silo, Curious George knew better and was working on answering this question, the big question.

That same little plastic ducky started an investigation and almost broke apart Juliette and Billings, even on the pact they had those things like this are the gateway to criminal activity but it’s not the object the problem it’s the questions that it raises among the people on the Silo, plus if we think about it there must be a lot of people that is not sane inside that enclosure, yes the Silo is very big and sometimes looks like a very small city on the inside it still a close environment.

In episode six we get to see Judge Meadows, the person who is “supposed” to be in charge of the Judicial department but in fact, it’s very clear that its all an illusion, Robert Sims is clearly who dictates the tone of the conversation in the room, she clearly looks manipulated by Sims and also looks sick, wouldn’t be strange that in the future she dies because she was slowly poison.

A living example of someone who probably almost got killed because of having or dealing with relics in the past and has now stopped caring about them is Patrick, he has the look of a guy who is trying to change his life, not the most honest man on the Silo probably but for sure looks afraid of having anything to do with relics as he explains how it destroy his life, he gave Juliette the only name he could, the only dealer he could rat out but in fact, it was because Judicial already knew about her, Juliette is looking for answers behind the plastic duck relic, answers that could lead her to the murder of the mayor but in fact takes her to a dark corner.

When Juliette took the Sheriff’s job she did it for love, she wanted to figure out who killed George as she was so sure he didn’t commit suicide, a recent event especially starting the investigation of where this relic came from, got her to almost change her mind, take in consideration she wanted to know because initially, George gave it to her so she knew anyone who got it after that probably got it from George, Julliete fix George watch because she truly loves him and makes her feel special but finding out that he used other people to continue his quest to unveil the answer to the big question got her think twice if he really love her or was she just part of his quest? Kathleen, the woman on the second picture, almost got Juliette doubt of George’s true motives, Juliette almost quit and went back to mechanical.

The minute Juliette talk to Kathleen, Sims got notified, Sims brings Bernard (temporary mayor) to question her motives because they knew Kathleen hold some information that might raise the same questions George had about the Silo. Juliette manages to shake them off for the time but after a second visit to Kathleen, she gave Juliett a book that not even Sims knew about, a relic before the Silo, until now civilians don’t know they are been watched including Juliette.

Silo is a great series, from episode one it got me hooked, on every episode we get more details about the conspiracy that the management of the Silo runs, and it’s not regular management, its those behind the curtain moving the strings like Bernard and Sims, now when know how they are always a step ahead of everyone but Juliette is slick and will find her way out, it incredible how everything goes back to George, the relic she is investigating might take her to solve three murders but I think Sims is going to stop her, it’s hard for Juliette to do her job when there is a monitoring center with multiple employees watching and listen to her. Episode six also shows Juliette’s decision to find out who killed George and that she really loves him, sometimes you just have to believe in your judgment, even though Kathleen told her he probably used them both Juliette still went back to find out the truth because she loved George, it didn’t matter if he used her, what matter is the moment she spend with him and what she felt when they were together, like when she fix the watch just because watching him happy make her feel the same, that’s true love.

If anyone could get Dan out of trouble was this guy, on the series Clay was patient zero, the first man who saw and experience Alex mental health problem, he also had a background of family with mental health problems and it was several times were Alex basically snap at him for no reason or just because he didn’t agree with her or even remind her of what she have said in the past, we didn’t see that behavior with Dan but with Clay she use to forget what she said and repeat the contrary, Clay who quickly notice it knew something was wrong with her but he like her, Clay try to stay with Alex and I would say even help her with her problems, there was a scene at a roof top where he said

What ever is bothering you just let it go…

Trying to send a message to Alex, she didn’t say anything at the moment but look like wanting to cry while she hold his hand, when ever she was pissed for some reason she quickly take it on others, for example her neighbor Emma who was a very kind woman, she talks a lot but was nice, the dark side of Alex have no mercy and quickly told her she didn’t care for her AT ALL!!! , on the last three episodes of this season we quickly see how dangerous Alex was, its like her character comes from been a normal person that’s at first when she was with Dan, first episodes where everything was great between them and she was happy to the point where the series start really tell who Alex was.

Clay kept trying to bond with Alex, kept telling her its ok to have problems and its ok to be herself and cope with her problems with her mental health, its weird because it doesn’t look like love, it looks like pity or compassion based on what he saw his mother go through and I think that’s what upset Alex, she might have metal health problems but she is not stupid and constantly bother how Alex try to “help” her, probably if he kept so playing along she probably stay with him and never be part of Dan’s affair, that would be a twist to the story and probably Clay was the right person to her but he rush things instead of waiting for the right moment to have an opinion about Alex problems because they were just dating, they haven’t even fuck once and he already want to help her.

At the time all this happen Clay use to work at Legal Aid, Dan had a few people over there that didn’t like how much power he had, how successful he was and some times how he make wining a case so easy to do so it was obvious that when Dan fall he had no hope, he had no chance, he was too big to fail and he did fail so Dan became a trophy for the system.

This was the exact moment when Alex got tired of Clay trying to correct her, remind her of what she said or not, with age this is a natural thing for humans to repeat things or forget what they said a few days ago but I have a feeling Clay wanted to make it all about her mental problems, like anything she does wrong has to do with it and its probably that he was obsessed with this topic because of his mom history mental health, so Alex telling Clay to fuck off had nothing about she been crazy or not, as any other human she got tired of him trying to correct her and been pity.

At first Dan didn’t have the right name of Clay, he and Mike thought it was a Biff, Cliff, Smith something like that but they had to go to Legal Aid and ask, waiting for them was Ruth another person who back in the day didn’t like Dan for what ever reason but mostly the obvious, his power, his success, the most expecting thing to do, don’t help Mike, that’s what her order to the department, Ruth was just one of the many people that were not friends with Mike mostly because he was with Dan.

If I had to make a list of Mike and Dan “enemies” I would be out of ink and paper, deputy Ibarra also didn’t want to do anything with their investigation, after all its a fifteen year old case so he was off the hook although at some point he was also chased by Alex but never said anything about it formally and was not called to testify on Dan’s case, we start see how the narrative of Dan been a trophy to the system starts to pick up.

Earl Broker, another one, in this case a crime investigator who was not part of Dan’s fan club, he and Dan had history and when he took the case he prepare Dan’s bed, set him a trap and Dan fall for it but the problem is not that he lie to Earl, the problem is that he had an affair with Alex so it wouldn’t help if he said the truth or not if no body take the blame for Alex murder with proof, because someone taking the blame for her murder doesn’t stop Dan been a big fish for the system to catch and put behind bars, even under that circumstances he could still end up in jail but its true that the worst thing he could do is lie to Earl.

The only two that had Dan’s back when he didn’t had the money for his attorneys defense was Julia and her husband Arthur

This is something definitely helpful to remember down the line, at the time Julia had cancer and was dying slowly, Arthur love her very much, they were Dan and Beth best friends, it was a lot of money they were going to spend on Dan’s defense, Beth’s father didn’t want to help because he didn’t have the money and also said he wouldn’t even if he had it.

I don’t like rushing things and at the moment of this post I haven’t seen the other episodes so I’m not sure whats next but I don’t think we are getting a second season, hope we do.

On this episode we see how Ellen starts to get more attention than in other episodes, I’m not talking about screen time but things related to her specifically, we have to see her from time to time talking with Dan but she starts to stalk Stella and Richard, Stella a student partner and Richard a professor who have a relationship, Ellen at firs tries to tell Richard to stop it because its for the best this based on how Dan’s affair end up with Alex say Ellen had that example but now she is following them so I wonder if she was doing this because she wants Richard for her?? and not because she is doing him a favor

The most interesting thing we could get out of this episode is how bad Alex was mentally before he met Dan, at the same time she was still conscious of her actions proof of this is how she got tired of Clay but at the same time proof that she had temper issues is how she told Emma that she didn’t care at all about her, Alex had serious issues before she met Dan and I’m worry Ellen becomes a monster similar to Alex, would be very ironic but after all this is all fiction, the most obvious topic from this episode is how Dan had no chance and back then and even now everyone was against him, I still believe he didn’t do it, have no proof and it would be a hidden scene that comes up at the end but based on the facts until then for me he didn’t kill Alex, the moment he had all excuses and right motives to snap and kill her he stop himself and want to make her go away using his power at the court and just killing her.

The title makes reference to the story of Toni Wolff and Carl Jung, doctor and patient relationship, Toni end up as Carl’s mistress, the term medial mostly apply for people who live the reality and their own world, I’m no expert on the matter but it really applies to Alex, how she even had conversations with herself and tend to imagine things that never happen, but I wonder why they use that as the name of the episode when we saw that happening on previous episodes, unless I’m wrong and they referring to Ellen or Stella although so far both seem to be very realistic and had not mental health problems. An introverted, unpopular, shy, frustrated and scared of the world young Dany gets arrested for a crime during the 70’s but its possible he didn’t do it and the police fears he was controlled by the real killer that might strike back.

I’m a sucker for serial killer movies, investigations and movies from other eras like in this case the 70’s, the moment I saw the trailer remind me of Mindhunter when Holden Ford a detective who started a thesis on how to build serial killer profile visited Charles Manson, the room, the fact that Dany was probably used as a tool to commit a crime I also like Tom Holland on the role of Dany, people are use to see him as Spider Man since that’s what he has been doing for the most part in the last six years he did Uncharted too but that was still an action movie, on Crowded Room is more about the mind game rather than an action movie for teen ager like Spiderman, Crowded Rom seems to be about exploring Dany’s thoughts about how lot of people that he knows tend to disappear but he is the only one staying, the first episode makes me curious and believe that he probably has two personalities and could be the reason why is not so easy to figure out what happen to everyone who disappear and why he was found on a house with blood on the walls and the floor, whose blood is that?.

The series will probably go back and forward on the time line to describe Dany before all this happen, the first episode started with him and Ariana chasing a guy who they want to kill but at the last moment when Dany had him in front of him he couldn’t pull the trigger and Ariana took the gun to blast the guy but only got her on the shoulder, at first I thought he got caught because of that murder attempt but it goes deeper than that and there is a lot he is not revealing yet during the interview with the agents at the police station.

The person doing the interview is Rya Goodwin, on the first episode it is not explain much who is her and why her but looks like she is a professor or that’s how she is known at the police station, still don’t know but she is in charge of interview Dany and profile him, figure out what really happen, the who and the why.

Just looking at Dany makes me feel uncomfortable, the guy looks really troubled, like something deranged him, there is something that wont let him sleep, this is a shot at the train with Arianna before they try to murder a guy in the middle of the city in front of a lot of people, it almost look like he is on drugs at the moment to look that disturbed, many people do drugs before comiting a crime, the drug make them numb to the idea of what they are about to do

This is Danny’s face, he froze when he saw the guy him and Arianna were going to kill, I’m sure he knew the guy something happen on that very moment, I’m starting to think this person could be his step dad that he had so many troubles with growing up he basically abuse him mentally or a friend from school, it had to be someone he thought he could kill and then when the moment came he couldn’t, I don’t think it had to do anything with the fact itself nothing to do with killing a person.

Arianna was more cold blooded and took the gun from Dany then starts shooting at the guy until she ran out of bullets, I think she ran out of bullets because she shoot the guy six times only one got him, people start screaming, sirens in the background and it seems Danny never saw Ariana again.

Another very important character on all this is Yitzhak, he is from Israel and became neighbor with Dany a few years ago, the first time they met Dany and his friends from school came to Yitzhak house to say hi as the house was empty for some time but everything change for Dany the day some bully was kicking his ass, Dany was always picked at school by everyone even adults so he saw a kinda of father figure on Yitzhak, not much has been said about Yitzhak or Ariana so far but that’s just my first impression of him. Latter and I say latter because I do not know exactly how things happen after Dany and Arianna failed to kill their target, how things went down but looks like Yitzhak didn’t approve what they did, the police probably follow Dany to the house and he gave in after they surround the house.

Besides Dany there is this other character I’m very interested in, her name Rya Goodwin, she is the one working with the police to figure out what happen, where is Ariana and why a lot of people close to Dany disappear too? did he kill them?. The interviews go for days, they didn’t mention it but you can see Ryan with different cloth between scenes, she also mention that the year Yitzhak move to the neighborhood there were some assaults.

There are several scenes, memories that go through Dany’s mind as the interviews continues, mostly things that he is not telling Rya yet or he straight up says he doesn’t want to talk about, on the first interview Rya starts with Dany from scratch because he is no snitch so he wont rat on Ariana or Yitzhak, thats clear for her and keep pushing or threating Dany with jail wont do the trick so she decides to psychoanalyze Dany and his story, they start from zero, how and when did he met Ariana and Yitzhak, there starts the story of how he was picked at school, how things were very bad at home with his step father, his childhood story but nothing really relevant to the murder attempt, Ariana or Yitzhak.

Dany and his friends were selling weed to make some money and basically sustain their vice, but one day he got caught with a joint at school so he ran home as fast as he could to hide and a group of bully led by a guy who try to snitch on Dany but then got suspended when it didn’t work was looking for him and start chasing him until they caught him on the street in front of Yitzhak house, they start beating him to the ground until Yitzhak came up and safe him, then invite Dany in to clean up and that day he also met Ariana.

Everything is narrated by Dany and Rya, when they get to this part there were a few key questions that Rya ask Dany, why would you think Yitzhak help you? what was your first impression of Ariana? Rya through the entire interview is trying to insinuate that they use Dany for their own benefit, to accomplish certain task on their agenda, there are some flash back pictures one was Ariana playing with a gun in the house with Dany and another Yitzhak covering Dany mouth so he shut up probably some one was in the house looking for them so there is a lot to discover.

Dany keeps telling Rya he doesn’t know where is Ariana or Yitzhak but for sure there is a lot of blood and killing he knows about but probably Rya is not asking the right questions yet, she again threaten Dany with jail but he is no fool, he knows they cant do that, yes they found blood and a bullet hole on a window but there is no gun, but he did admit he was with Ariana and attempt to kill that man although he point the gun at him but never pull the trigger, I’m not sure if that’s consider murder attempt hmmm

The Crowded Room is doing great at tv series sites like IMDB or RTT, so far a 7/10 on IMDB that’s very good considering that in real life that’s an 8/10, because its Tom Holland the main actor I think this is going to take a lot of positive reviews and people wont be bitching that much about the time line, going back and forward, Class of 09 is the same thing and the internet bitch about it so hard so who knows why, the production and music are very good at setting the tone of the series, I like how from episode one a lot of things are hiding its like little crumbs that you need to put together and then you get to know the truth and some times during the way things shift, you cant watch this series without been focus because you will get lost easy and end up rewinding to understand what’s happening, the first three episodes where release but as usual I like to watch one episode per day or week depending on the format of the tv series, totally recomend The Crowded Room, Apple+ keeps releasing bangers.

Alex has started to create her own world after not dealing well with rejection from Dan, in her world only what she wants matter, only what makes her happy and have proven to do what ever needed to be done to get Dan do her will the easy way or the hard way.

Episode five drop bombs from start to finish, lot of things are reveled and some of my theories are proven by Mike and by Ellen, this episodes name Medial Woman comes from a paper Ellen is writing about “Structural Forms of The Feminine Psyche” by Toni Wolff and there is a quote that fits almost perfect to Alex

She must for instance express or act what is “in the air,” what the environment cannot or will not admit, but what is nevertheless a part of it. It is mostly the dark aspect of a situation or of a predominant idea, and she thus activates what is negative and dangerous. In this way she becomes the carrier of evil

Alex is creating this world where she wants to live in, she wanted to be pregnant from Dan to the point where she start to believe her own lie, she is living between both world the real world and her fantasy world, she think she feels pregnant and seems “happy” about it but then takes a test, came out negative and took it on Beth burning down a house she was in. Then tries to bring in Dan closer to her the hard way, threatening with an anonymous letter to his boss, a letter that relates to HR matters who start an investigation on Dan at the end been release from it not before HR mention that Alex safe his ass so she wants him to feel like he owe her something to feel an obligation to say thanks or something. On this reality that Alex is living in every time it doesn’t turn out her way she just end up hurting people or in the case of Beth mom, killing innocent people but Dan draw then line when it comes to Ellen.

Mike and Ellen both come to the same conclusion that Dan didn’t cheat on Beth because there was something about Alex, he did it because he couldn’t handle the fact that he was not getting the judge position after many years, he felt his carrier was a failure and he didn’t have enough time to wait for the next opening in four years like he ran out of time and Alex was his escape route, unlucky Dan he mess with the wrong person, Alex mentally unhealthy besides him not telling her the rules of the game from the start letting her believe there was something between them but Mike said it once, that’s all Dan, he always put up the show so people like him, at least those that matter for him because there were a few that now turn their backs on him because he treat them like shit, sometimes they deserve it and sometimes it was just Dan under pressure not knowing how to deal with it. Dan goes all out on Alex, day at the beach with the dog, ran away with her late night to a restaurant, sneaking to see fuck her, four times was enough to make Alex believe there was something growing and look probably like a long time for her, even though Alex needed therapy and was not very well balanced this was Dan’s fault most of it.

A lot of things come to light on episode five, Alex did murder Beth mother, she was still around their place after visiting and saw the backyard gate open, comes in and found Dan’s dog then came out Beth mother to thank her to get the dog before he went out, she invites her for a coffee that turns into a cup of wine and after a few minutes of chatting she mention how Beth and her father sometimes live their own separate world that probably they wouldn’t notice if she was missing, I think this makes Alex angry either feeling the same way with Dan like he doesn’t notice her anymore and probably angry at Beth for been ungrateful with her mother, at least from Alex perspective, Beth mother wanted to close the pool cover and she falls into the pool at that moment Alex decide to close the cover making Beth mother drowned, then she ran away after cleaning everything to make it look like she was never there but Dan knew, he had that suspicion that it was Alex who did it.

Dan tells his wife Beth the truth about Alex, this one was painful to watch, the day Beth mother dies, Alex killed her, Dan tells her whats happening but the real bad part is not the why he is telling her but that he is forced to tell her by the events happening, soon or latter he would tell Beth because Alex was putting too much pressure with what she have been doing but killing Beth mother was the drop spilled the glass although he didn’t have any concrete proof, it was devastating for Beth facing her mother death and that her husband cheat on her and is only telling her now because he feels they are in danger because of something that he did, something that he didn’t need to do, something no body force him to do and something he did without measuring the consequences, that’s the main problem form acting on impulse.

A written letter is send to Dan’s boss that accuse him of “things” they never said about what exactly but this opens an investigation that involve HR and puts Dan on halt until is over, he is send home and on the way took it on Earl, a detective who Dan treat like crap most of the time and things very little of his work, no wonder why when Dan gets out of jail and ask for his help, Earl tells both Mike and Dan to fuck off, Dan probably look over a few people when he was all mighty Dan Gallagher and now all those people are taking cheap shot at him when ever he ask for help. Alex is interview by HR and talk all this wonderful things about Dan and when the interview is done she makes this show like she felt dizzy and mention she probably pregnant, TF

Dan wants to spend time with Ellen his daughter but at doing this with Dan’s record he expose himself to hard truth and mixed feelings, there can be times that she understand him but others where she puts herself first, she didn’t grow up with her dad next to her so this person who came out of jail is not her dad, just someone who has the title of been her dad but they don’t know each other, didn’t took her too long to understand Dan didn’t cheat because he wanted Alex but he didn’t know how to deal with his problems, something that lead him to his worst mistake in a life time.

Dan is already suspicious that Alex killed his mother in law plus he knows she trow acid at his car and is harassing him constantly but he doesn’t know she also set on fire a house Beth was remodeling, while Beth and him were at the hospital got a call that Ellen cant be found after she came form school was suppose to go with their neighbors but nothing and he immediately thought this was Alex, Mike found her but even though without proofs and no plan to bring the case to the police Dan makes the same mistake again, wait for Alex out of her apartment and jump her from the back, throw her around even started to choke her but stop when she just let him do it, then he tells her he is going to the feds and don’t care about anything anymore and came up wit this brilliant phrase “if you want to die, you better hurry up” this was the perfect time to set him up after he put his hands on her, there is probably some soft of finger prints, hair, dna what ever that can proof he was there and put his hand on her, the episodes ends with a lot of blood on the floor, probably Alex’s blood, she killed herself and frame Dan.

I have a feeling there wont be Season 2 and this is just another mini series although its not describe as a mini series, this was so far the best episode of the season, everything comes to light, Dan tells Beth the truth and now we know Alex was out there trying to hurt not only Dan but his family even killing his mother in law on its way but at the same time trying to get closer to him by “helping” him at work with the HR investigation, she doesn’t know whats black or white anymore and is fully tilted but Dan gave her the worst idea, to kill herself and frame him.

Class of 09: Part of Something – Season 1 Episode 1 – RECAP

Class of 09 is the story of four main characters, all come from different backgrounds from a nurse, a lawyer, an insurance broker who enter the FBI as part of a new program that look to integrate more people outside of law enforcement, people who can become agents with different perspectives as they understand that some times only having a cop formation is not enough. This is the FBI trainee class of 2009, where their main characters latter on become important assets to the FBI, from the FBI Director Tayo Michaels and one of the best ever under cover agent Ashley Poet just to mention two of them, I like the story so far since its not about a single character or two, I’m sure there will be many story lines as all this main four characters develop during times where the FBI evolves drastically to a point that this TV Series plot really takes from movies like Minority Report, based on Artificial Intelligence systems the FBI tries to evaluate, judge and even predict when someone becomes a danger to society and the institution but looks like it gets too drastic to the point where it is not fair to judge people based on their thoughts or at least that’s what the main “criminal”, named Amos, of this episode things as he is currently the most wanted man by the FBI and comes to Poet house and tells her this, the FBI is judging agents based on their thoughts and its getting out of control, it was suppose to be a fair system and be a tool for agents to locate and arrest people who have committed a crime but now they been arrested for their thoughts, a system becoming so complex and its hard for agents to understand anymore although Tayo has been on the FBI Director chair for ten years making the country one of the safest and greatest nations on earth mainly because of the criminal decline across the nation because of the system he has implemented along this time, Tayo thinks different than what Amos tries to explain Poet.

I think Class of 09 tries to capitalize on this AI trend, in the past it was a very futuristic topic but not anymore now days my wife, my sister, colleagues at work who are not tech savvy talk about AI, its everywhere but production I think in the past had a hard time to take this concept to the screen, even minority report felt very fake, very unreal, more like Sci-Fi but with recent development that have become public like the integration of AI in Windows 11, will take AI assistance to many more people, viewers will get more related to it and we will start to see more and more artificial intelligence related topics on tv series, it wont be just a Tony Stark thing anymore and Class of 09 is an example, I really like it from the production stand, the series doesn’t look cheap, actors felt ok on the first episode nothing that made me think this is a cheap production and its not the Law & Order type of cops tv series that work on different cases every day, there is a very long story on how each of this four characters get to their different positions from when they started on 2009 to 2034 where we see Tayo as director and all this futuristic scenery but its not that futuristic for us anymore, Electric Cars got them, cyborg prosthesis type got them, artificial intelligence got them so its not that futuristic anymore.

Class of 09 is a tv series that will get more traction as seasons go by, so far the problem I see is that there are too many flash backs, this is not a series for the type of audience who seek a straight story line, this is the type of tv series for the one who pause, rewind and plays back meaning for the audience that like to put the pieces together and end up amaze once everything is understood so I get why some bad reviews on IMDB and most are talking about the same issue with the time line, there are time jumps from 2009, 2023, 2034 multiple times and this is just the first episode so you have to watch close, so far a 6.3/10 over all on IMDB but episodes have stronger rates like 7 and above, I personally give it a 8/10 on the first episode as I find it interesting and I like this type of format.

On this series what worries me is the tech side as for some reason cops tv series most of the time don’t get it right, scenes like the two above, either they exaggerate them and make them look stupid like a screen with a bunch of extended ping, hardware monitoring stats and I think if the pull something like Tony Stark stuff is even better at least they made the effort to make it look original, so far I haven’t find any scene that makes me feel this way.

Ashley Poet, who starts as a nurse working at a mental health facility who never thought about joining the FBI until she was approach by an agent who ask her to talk to one of the patients at the facility about his brother a murder suspect and after she was able to pull it off then gets invited to join the FBI, in part of they story it is mention how she have put her career at the FBI above anything else in life even her last two relationships one been Lennix one of her initial partners at the 2009 FBI trainee class, this determination along with her creativity get her to pull one of the largest cop bust.

This is captain Albury who is just about to let Poet get into the circle, he runs one of the most corrupt police department, they even got the FBI infiltrated and killed an FBI agent in front of Poet and she didn’t flinch the reason why is because probably she didn’t know about him, there are certain things on the tv series that are not explain straight up so as I mention you probably need to go back and forward but if she is infiltrated as a cop and her partner at the moment kill a guy and plant a gun on the guy then she gets to Albury and he tells her they killed that FBI agent and she asks if they send her there on purpose then its clear they talking about the same guy but the picture on the file is not clear, they didn’t say any names and this actions happen between time jumps on the series so that might confuse viewers.

This is present time 2023, Poet just arrested Albury in front of every one and that’s consider basically suicide asking for retaliation but it was a direct order by Lennix and old friend, classmate and ex boyfriend who is now the Associate Executive Assistant Director of the FBI, what a long name for a charge, he had the tough order to put Poet under that situation but it was necessary for her next job and her next assignment seems to be more dangerous since it will be to investigate someone or an entire division of the FBI.

Poet next assignment in present time is an old friend and classmate, Hour Nazari, it seems back in the day when they were trainees Tayo had a crush on her but been how quite and shy he is for some things it probably never got them anywhere at least that’s my impression from this conversation they had if they were dating anyone at the moment. Poet had to find out the hard way and read between lines that Hour was her next mission when they got together for dinner and she was surprised that Hour was ask if Poet would be of any use in her division a project that works on the largest criminal database, she is pissed at Lennix because now she have to spy on her best friend and colleague too.

As mention the series jump between time lines a lot for one episode, they go from present 2023 where Poet is giving the task to spy on Hour, put that on hold to the future 2034 where Amos a wanted man, probably a whistleblower who tries to bring the truth of what the FBI has become with all this new AI systems that basically try to predict who can commit a crime are way out of line, on the scene above Tayo looking at the scene where Amos is at Poet apartment and gets shoot by agents, Amos left Poet what looks like a card but not sure if its an access card or data.

I think its not necessary to mention that I really like this tv series, there are others that I want to watch but I’m behind on the ones I was writing about and don’t want to leave them hanging, I do this for fun so finish the seasons is important for me if not there is no fun but I’m going to start to include a few new tv series now that I’m catching up, this first episode was all about Poet but I think we are going to have multiple stories here because the four main character have top charges inside the FBI, they are not just a bunch of agents besides they all know each other very well, I like how the series is trying to integrate tech as much as its possible since we are finally living during the times when AI has become public and commercial.

The Patient: Pastitsio – Episode 5 – RECAP

Episode five proves more my theory that Sam kills people because he wants attention and is a little bitch but then when he get the attention from others don’t know what to do or react, him killing people is a reaction to his impotency to confront his father now as an adult, when he was a kid he couldn’t but now that he has enough age to do it his father is not around anymore so he just take on other people who bother him in some way turning him into a bully, I know this is not his fault but he also doesn’t do that much to take responsibility and act as a child, may be that trauma never let him grow up and inside he still feels like that child that was abused by his father but now inside the body of a grown man. Alan was making some progress with Sam since he got him to do a few things to get distracted but fall into what I think is a mistake, he initially got Sam to stay away from Elias, his victim, to distract his mind from that impulse to kill Elias but then ask Sam to bring Elias so they can have a session? that doesn’t make any sense to me, everything is so soon for it to work as Alan was expecting.

On this episode we also see Cadence, Sam’s mom, for the first time getting control of the situation but at the same time its just so lame how she would think a simple hit on the risk would stop a serial killer, she also needs therapy, both been in jail or some kind of institution away from society until they get better, but this is not 100% her fault neither as she is/could also be mentally and emotional affected by everything that happen with Sam’s father, this family is an entire mess, keep in consideration that we have no information or feedback from what exactly and why Sam’s father abuse him, I give it the benefit of the doubt since Sam and Cadence are not mentally well, you cant believe everything people say.

Sam goes visit his ex wife Mary, she seems nice and pretty, welcome him and invite him insight to talk but she look scared when Sam told her he was taking therapy, may be she thought “finally” or probably he had taken therapy in the past and didnt work, my point is that she doesnt seem too sure to be next to him but still got him inside and try to talk to Sam, he look nervous and the total opposite of what he told Alan he was with Mary, he came up with any topic and stay quiet most of the time, it was Mary who kept trying to be open to him, there were a few moments I thought we was going to openly tell her why he is in therapy and even that he has a guy kidnap, something crazy but it didnt happen, that would turn up this episode so much. I think Sam lie to Alan about Mary or may be things have change so much for him that he is not the same around her.

Back at Sam’s home where Elias and Alan remain prisoners, Elias is trying to get Alan to team up with him and knock out Sam, he offer Alan to bring him into the therapy session and then he would throw himself at Sam so Alan can beat him but the answer to that is obvious and I already know it, Alan wont do it, he wont risk it because he knows Sam is stronger, if something goes bad its Elias fault since he is the one that came up with the idea but he feels there is no hope for him.

Alan and Elias had this moment where he ask Elias to bring a message to his family in case he dies but I think that was just give some hope to Elias saying he is the one that is going to escape the situation alive.

After Sam gets back from Mary’s place he start talking with Alan and tells him how it didn’t work, talking to Mary didn’t make him think different about Elias but I know that was not Alan point, he wanted to show Sam how he can stay away from Elias and eventually forget about him for some time but Sam wants results for yesterday like its as simple as taking a pill. Sam got angry and was going to kill Elias but Sam calls Cadence and all it took was two claps and a “Get back here” for Sam to stop, WTF why no body gave Alan the Sam manual where it says the instructions, Sam definitely still has this child complex and proof is that his mom still can send him to his room and ground him.

This episode is also proof that been on the edge every five minutes that Sam is going to kill Elias is what keeps this exciting but at some point its getting old so the writer needs to make a decision quick to keep viewers interested and its a very obvious one.

After his mother told him to go to sleep and send him to his room, after some time Sam comes back down to talk with Alan, he had this object on his hand that I thought it was a key, may be a key to free Alan but it look like he didn’t notice because if he did he would be interested and ask Sam to free him up, instead he start explaining Sam none of this is his fault and its a reaction to all those bad memories with his father and how he is taking it with the rest of the world, how none of this people are trying to harm him but he feels this way as an excuse to explode angry at them when he is really angry at his father.

I don’t know if Alan for real try to make Sam understand this by himself and brought Elias into the session or he was going with Elia’s plan to take down Sam.

Alan is suppose to be a well known therapist with lots of experience but I think the situation and pressure is making him take wrong decisions, Sam told him that bringing Elias to the session wouldn’t work, it only make things worst for him, you have a dog barking at you none stop every time you get close to the gate and he just got his chain loose what do you expect if you get inside the yard. Sam makes Alan bring Elias in and all it took was Elias to start crying and stuttering because he couldn’t manage the pressure of been blind by duct tape in front of a guy who wants to kill him, Sam jumps Elias and choke him to death, that’s how we got to the cover picture of this post.

After this episode I think Sam needs guidance but with an iron fist, he needs someone who can control him and tell him what to do, he also needs to stay away probably lock down in a facility where he can rehabilitate and get over this trauma, keep getting therapy with his mother too but it would depend if they both want it because both of the are acting very irresponsible even his mother knowing his son is a murder, as for Alan he is not handling well the pressure even if he appears to be but the truth is that he is starting to take desperate decisions and that’s why Elias is dead but cant blame him, going through all that he cant stop thinking about his family and the possibility that he wont see them again, most of the episodes are worth watching packed with intensity, stress, keeping me thinking is he going to kill him? is it now? is Alan next? but now we get to the point that Sam finally killed someone and in front of Alan so will this become a regular thing for them?

I think Alan is starting to make some progress with Sam, on this episode Alan tries his best to keep Sam distant from his victim, I think I mention this on the previous episode, to overcome this kind of impulse you need to physically stay away from it, confront it doesn’t work for everyone at first, some times confront it make it worst since not everybody works the same and the subject may lack the strength to prevent himself to fall into the same steps, for Sam staying away from the victim, staying busy works the best. Alan is starting to test the waters of trust with Sam to the point where he tells Sam what to do and then flinch but the second time comes with more authority when he tells Sam to go to work and he notice how Sam took his direction, for Sam to get better he needs to obey Alan instructions since he is the expert and Alan reminds him of that “you brought me in because I’m the expert, trust me” that was Alan words when Sam was getting very very close to loose it. There are times when I see the episode from another perspective and think Sam is a bitch, needy mf who probably like to bully others, he says that he wants to punish them for how they do things like the guy he has right now he bend a few rules so he needs to be punish but Sam probably either attack him from the back or the guy cant defend himself so he is this kind of avenger on his head but he is just a abusive guy who makes an excuse that his father beat him up when he was a kid and now has this compulsive disorder to kill people who are out of line on this world but at the same time he just keep bitching about it and the way he walks or how he stop for a min when Alan ask him to go to work, open his mouth and stop like “OMG OMG I CANT OMG I CANT”, different than other three episodes I’m starting not to like the way Domhnall is developing the Sam character at least for now.

Another thought about Alan, he is really starting to struggle with how Sam at times could be some calm, smile and openly talk about other things like music but then be so violent and abusive, how he brought Elias Petraki his victim to the point it disturb him and cant rest, I could think his Sam’s mother might have to do with it too because how could you live with a serial killer even though its your son without stopping him or at least get someone to help him but not like they have Alan chain to the floor.

Time locked up and chain to the floor plus Sam behavior where some times eh can be gentle, funny, talk about community, love, have fun, all those things that contradict what he is currently doing, systematically killing people, planing how to do it without remorse, all that is taking the best part of Alan to the point he cant sleep he cant rest well and who can when you are kidnap, force to provide therapy to a guy that is only bitching about how he cant stop killing people and how he is the judge of those out of line in life who are bending rules or not doing things as he see fit.

Inside Sam twisted mindset he must be very tough to kill a guy who only took advantage of the system without really making any harm to him, that’s not an excuse to kidnap someone and wanting to kill him besides they guy is tight up blind folded so how is he going to kill him, at such disadvantage I don’t see how that goes hand to hand with though man Sam. Alan still finds the patience and time to focus on the things that matter and tries to control Alan, he is making progress by keeping him away from his victim, at least this time as describe by Sam, he did stop before killing his victim and that’s why he brought it home although this is the clear scenario of someone who is only looking for attention, a man who only seeks blood would not act like this although he is looking for help that’s a positive sign, we might argue that’s how and unbalance person acts and why he is mentally sick.

Alan convince Sam to go to work he try to give him an order and felt scared of how Sam would react, he at first flinch but then repeat himself when he notice it did work. Sam goes to work kicking and bitching how he cant do it, Alan is now talking with Elias, Sam’s victim, they restaurant manager that he kidnap, they talking about whats going to happen, the guy is shitting bricks and crying, then this is another twisted character that needs therapy or be in jail, Sam’s mother comes down probably heard them talking but she comes down with a metal bar, looks like fire place poker if that’s the name, what are her intentions to wack them? shut them off? defend herself? after all they just talking no direct harm to her, could we see her attack Alan in the future? She keeps talking about how Sam feels sorry, how he wants to stop but that’s not of Alan interest, he keeps sucking information out of her trying to understand why Sam feels and acts this way to guide him or even “cure” him and may be get out of this situation alive.

Something that I like about this mini series is the format, this are very short episodes but for it to work it has to be intense when the main characters are on the same room, that is Sam and Alan, every time Sam shows up its either Alan wanting to kill him or Sam wanting to kill Elias, after a few sentences some one has to think or talk about murder and be very close to it and then stop, at some point this is going to change, from pictures and the trailer I know Sam beat up Alan once but I don’t want to spoil it, this is why this mini series is good although as you can tell on this episode I had enough of Sam complains.

Sam comes back from work and he looks tired, Alan had this call with him a the moment he wanted to come back home and killed Elias but Alan manage to keep him at work that probably took some effort from Sam, like controlling himself is taking a lot of his energy but at least he keeps coming back to talk to Alan so all this effort of Alan keeping him away from the victim is taking effect.

Towards the end of the episode Alan confirm a few theory I had about Sam and its that he attack people from the back so the though guy story falls down here, Alan is now ordering Sam to do things to keep him away from Elias, just as he order him to go to work he now told him to go see his ex wife since that might keep his mind distracted away from Elias and at the end tells him to trust him because he is the expert.

Elias once told Alan “this guy must really trust you” since he mention his hands were free, Alan has been trying to get Sam to unchain him since day one and tell him to trust him this time but I don’t think he will ever do it, Sam knows the minute he unchain Alan that bird goes out the window.

Alan therapy and guidance is starting to take effect on Sam, he is now ordering Sam to do things to keep his mind busy and away from Elias, the restaurant manager he kidnap and want to kill, not only Alan is telling Sam what to do to avoid killing Elias but also tells him to TRUST HIM!! this is going to be a key factor so he can make his attempt to escape, to be honest I don’t think he will be able to, I haven’t finish the end of this mini series at the moment I write this post but I think the odds are not in Alan favor, he is older, its two against one, Sam and his mother, plus he is chained to the floor, I don’t see how he can escape alive alone, probably if he helps Elias they can join forces to get out but someone is going to die at the end, also I don’t see this as a gore series so I don’t think Sam is going to be doing the killing because if he does it has to be very very violent although a Alan character would be tone down and more suited to the mood of the series.

There are moments in life where we have everything to be happy, nothing else matter, everything fits, nothing else is need but there is always a situation that makes you feel the total opposite for a moment that can make you change your mind and feel the total opposite like you still don’t have what you need to be happy. Most people when they finally make it with time then forget how it was before they make it.

Dan Gallagher had everything he needed to be happy, very often we confuse what we need with what we want, he had a good job, great carer, people respect him at his job, had a great family, lovely wife even a good dog with a very nice house but it was just that moment when he didn’t get what he wanted, named judged! that tip him over, blind folded and forget what he had, making one of his worst mistakes, having an affair but unlucky him with the wrong person, Alexa Forrest.

The series keep unfolding and now I don’t think it will ever stop going back and forward between time lines because after all Dan and Mike will try to proof again that he is innocent of murder Alexa Forest, the first clues that might help him are starting to show up, you can tell when a man fear a women because of what she knows and what she can do with that information, that guard who Alex brought fritters and told her to stop, the therapist who lived across the hall who didn’t want to talk to her anymore, turns out he was dealing drugs and she knew, Alex was a menace, she needed therapy and men where her target by now I know she didn’t have limits not even Dan family.

This is exactly how lives works, for now reason Dan’s wife Beth started to find things around the house, one by one, first when Dan went with Alex to the beach she lost an earring and this was not planted literally fall and Dan’s dog eat it, Beth found it on her dogs pop one night talking to him she was like ok you eat it whose earring would it be, meh silly dog, next doing laundry she found a single sock that was not Dan’s he took it from a closet with lost cloth they had at work after he came back from spending the night with Alex, next that night he got a ton of calls and kept hanging up, putting it on silence when he NEVER does that, he is the kind of guy who is always on call. Beth knew Dan was having an affair even before she start to really investigate whats going on, that’s just life for everything that you are not suppose to be doing, that is wrong, that makes you ungrateful.

That time Alex went to Dan’s house she wasn’t there to threaten him, she was actually doing recon, it seems she wanted to hurt him, remember we talking about someone who hurt herself in front of others but making sure they don’t notice, Alex is not good with rejection and Dan was trying to stay away from her as much as he could after he ended their affair, bad part for him is that he never explicitly told her it was just an affair and she thought it was something more serious. On episode four there is an incident where Beth’s mom stayed at home after she and his dad went shopping, she was suppose to keep the dog in and receive Ellen from school but when Beth got back found her face down drowning on the pool, Dan review the scene and how things probably happen, he thinks it was Alex, I also think its very likely, expect anything from Alex, from now on everything goes for her.

This was telegraphed from miles away probably but its worth to mention that the first person Dan told he had an affair with Alex was Mike after they try to look up for the CCTV footage when she trow acid to his car but he was parked in a place that the camera didn’t cover, Dan was concern of what she could do and wanted to put a stop to all this but had no proof and she kept calling him so Mike advice him to let her be, stay away and do not respond, confront Alex would make things worst.

Now that Dan is out he needs to get a job, get back into society and prove he is worth of staying out of prison, he is on paroled, he has been looking for any firm that could accept him with his record but no one would take him, those who could make fun of him and get some payback did, Dan was not every ones friend and was very successful so he had made a few enemies back in the day but at least he had very few friends, Jorge an old colleague he helped back in the day got his back and welcome him immediately after he step foot on the law firm he was working at. Dan is starting to organize his life again because besides proving he is innocent he wants to get back to his daughter Ellen who for now play a secondary role far in the distance on this story but I’m sure that will change latter on.

Dan is going to have a very hard time trying to control himself when he face what potentially proofs he was innocent and was not the only one been harassed by Alex, he is going back to old co workers in this case Conchita, like her some talk to him out of respect for who he was, his reputation and his word for most means nothing because he admit to be guilty, Conchita told him about the guard (bailiff), Gabriel Ibarra from courtroom M71, he also had an affair with Alex but end it although she though different and made a unofficial complain about Alex harassing him and Conchita knew but kept it for herself, she have this train of thought that if Dan knew he would use it to make Alex look guilty and him get of the hook so Conchita never believe Dan didn’t killed her, I’m hungry to know how things went down during court for everyone to think Dan did it, seems a lot of people believe it before he admit it and turn their backs on him.

I like how the story is getting into a second phase, its only four episodes but we already went from having an affair, finish it, Alex start harassing, it is not a secret anymore because Dan tells Mike so someone else besides Alex and Dan knows and we getting into the part where Alex wants to hurt Dan but there still not solid proof of that yet, soon Dan will have to break the truth to his wife Beth because one thing is having an affair and you don’t want them to know but when they are in danger that’s something you cant take chances with just come clean, admit guilty and life with the consequences but keep your family safe, I think women in the state of mind where Alex is are far more dangerous than men and Alex is going to proof it.

For what the tv series is I feel its a great story, at first I remember there were tons of bad reviews, people saying it deviate so much from the movie but for me that’s the entire point, its not going to be the same as the movie if they want to make multiple seasons or at least I would like it to be three seasons, right now it has a 7.8/10 on IMDB and 68% of average audience on RTT.

Major Ruth has been murder, poison, they mention rat poison and that she was NOT the target. Jules gets involve in the case as a new Sheriff this is her first murder case officially, saying officially because she is after George murder too, Marnes is devastated by Major Ruth death but if Major Ruth was not the target and it was Marnes who from all the people he has pissed off in the past wants him death, if I have to take a quick guess is Robert Sims, remember how he wanted to put some one on Jules Sheriff position but Major Ruth intervene then the next vacancy would be Marnes because killing Jules could be hard to pull besides its too obvious.

After three episodes we already know enough about Jules, about her family, how she started her career on engineering and never came back to the upper floors of the Silo until now that she have been given the job of Sheriff, who is her father but on this episode its also mention how her brother dies and the impact it had on her family reducing it to she and her father only. On episode four I think concludes the story of Jules as a kid, how she stay on deep in the Silo shadowing engineers, starting from picking up scraps, repair them, all the way up in ranks to the point she was trusted with the Silo generator, its an interesting story and its like and episodes that holds up a lot of action for the next one, there is a lot of story from when she was a kid but also the start of an entire drama that is the conspiracy of Major Ruth accidental death because the real target was Manes, in the mean time Bernard is assign as temporary mayor but on whose side is him? also he and Jules have some story.

Marnes is totally broken by Major Ruth death, they were lovers but had to hide it to the public because of their roles in the Silo, he explains Bernard and Sims how when you walk the Silo people usually drink from each other bottles because its easier to reach from others back pack but Major Ruth bottle had a leak so he didn’t drink any water from her bottle, raising the question was she the target? was she the only target? probably the murder didn’t think about it and poison Marnes bottle only thinking he would drink from his own water bottle or was Major Ruth the real target? I already mention that I think Sims wanted Marnes Sheriff position open to give it to one of his own people, I always felt suspicious about Bernard and Sims, each with their own agenda within the Silo and probably know the truth about why and how all this people got into the Silo.

Since Marnes cant be rational at the moment Jules gets the case assign to her by Bernard acting as proxy Major, Marnes is pissed and has no hope on Jules but at least she can act rational and be proactive.

Its no secret that only Sheriff Holston wanted Juliette as a Sheriff and that was because he had other personal reasons and probably not because she was capable of pulling the job, she has everyone against her including Mandy who use to be Holston’s assistant, but Jules knows how to be a real pain the ass so she pulls the I’m The Boss card on Mandy and get her to look for George’s file, problem is that its no where to be found.

Jules have some big shoes to fill in and her first day at the job has been a nightmare, not only Major Ruth dies after putting Jules as the new Sheriff but she now has to baby sit Marnes who started his own witch hunt, he is not a popular guy around the Silo but people respect him although he got a few grudge here and there that got him his nose broken after insulting some ones wife to not get into unnecessary details, Marnes just went rouge and is getting peoples attention and hate making him a target again, before things go south for him Jules was able to explain him her relation with Holston how he was working on George case but she cant figure out where the case file is, all she knows is that the word Truth on Holston badge was the sign she was waiting for as the last time she saw Holston he said “when I find the truth I will send you a sign” that was the key worth Truth on the back of his badge so they agree to help each other.

Marnes has been constantly drinking since Major Ruth death, he cant help himself, after a visit from Sims he gets another visit but this time from and unknown uninvited guess whose mission is to kill him, if judicial aka Sims was the one who wanted him dead then now is the chance with him all drunk and not be able to fight back.

Jules got very lucky when she found George files inside an air vent on Holston apartment, he knew they were going to clean it up after he goes out to clean and “die” so he hide it inside an air duct, as we confirm on prev episode the Silo is govern by a conspiracy, the outside world is not what it seems from the inside but its hard to believe or prove it if you have never been outside and there is a pact with tons of restrictions to figure this out making it almost illegal to know more about it and that is the reason why George was murder, it would be very hard that he commit suicide, he was killed after finding something that he shouldn’t and was about to tell Jules but it was too late when she arrive, Holston also find out the truth about the outside but why he haven’t come back knocking on the door or probably he did but upper management wont reveal it, anything outside the Silo and how they got into the Silo is a mystery, soon all the characters will get involve into the conspiracy story and this story time episodes will be over.

This episode at times felt boring but also like is setting up for something bigger now that we know the real target was Marnes and his killer accomplish the mission after the first attempt but ended up killing Major Ruth creating a bigger buzz around the Silo, so far it doesn’t look that this mistake would change their plans, I’m sure soon Jules will become a target as she starts to get deeper into George case and discover the same thing got him killed, there is a lot of screen time dedicated to Jules story as when she was a kid and how she started on the scraps yard recycling Silo trask, looking for things to fix and send them back up, how she and her father never had a good relationship after her mother died pushing her to isolated into tech, fixing and repairing things, leading to going deep into the Silo and end in charge of the Silo generator.
