Rick and Michonne are back at it in the wild, this is good because from now on the series will be more versatile in terms of whats going to happen next, its not anymore about CRM conspiracy but also surviving in the wild so possibilities are infinite. Before they came to an agreement to stay together an entire twenty four hour argument had to happen, this episode made me feel like I was in my 20s again having an argument with my girlfriend, those type of argument that last for days and not even how hard you try can’t come to an agreement, it was exhausting and I was constantly wanting to fast forward but that would ruin the episode for me so I had to stay put with all the bullshit of this episode, I have to say TWD does have a strong fan base because on IMDB this episode got a 9.2 with over 2600+ votes, WTF!
In my opinion this is the worst episode from the last three spin off considering this is the best spin off out of the three, it sounds weird but that’s just how I see it, besides there was nothing special about the ending, I didn’t like it at all but that doesn’t mean its a 1/10 that would be ridiculous just as some people score movies and tv series online, to be fair I would give it a 6/10.

On episode three after their mission, the CRM helicopter was heading back to Philadelphia during a storm, Michonne open the helicopter door and take Rick down with her without even knowing where they would land, there is no way she knew they were over water at that point, probably saw something from the front helicopter window but still. Landed in the water, went back to shore and got into a building where the entire argument starts, Rick immediately ask for the PBR (GPS) back since he lost his, to let know the CRM where they are.
Source
Surprise surprise, Michonne with Rick with, you have another kid his name is Rick too, how about that, she was pregnant when Rick disappear after the bridge incident, his son is the one who call him the Brave Men. Comando, episode reference for Rick jeje; answers back we have to go back
Source
This is if I’m not mistaken the first 20 minutes of the episode, every argument ends up with give me the PRB we need to go back, doesn’t matter how and how many times Michonne tries to raise the case that they have children back home waiting for them, asking for their father and Rick refuse to go back mainly because he fears Jadis will go looking for them because she is all in for the CRM cause and that implies to keep it a secret.
Source
The next day after the storm Michonne is over arguing with Rick because he is the one who does not want to go back so she gave him the PRB and notice that the helicopter they were flying in had hit the building next to them, she save Rick by jumping from the helicopter, this means they are “dead” too, minutes after they notice this another CRM helicopter comes in and launch rockets to destroy the helicopter that had crash trying to leave zero evidence of the CRM behind. Another argument about the hole situation starts, my eyes role back thinking here we go again but Michonne this time cut the bullshit and decided to go home without Rick and he finally decided to go with her, wasn’t easy because the first time they try after another big argument there were walkers outside who stop them from leaving.
Source
Finally after all the arguments and talking Rick explains why he could not go back with her, it was not the fear that the CRM or Jadis will go looking for them, Rick lost his memories, he forgot Carl face first and then fear he would forget Michonne too, that’s why he kept trying to dream about her, there was episode with Rick and Michonne eating in the park, I was like that never happen why this images, well it was Rick forcing himself to not forgetting Michonne face, that is why Rick couldn’t go back with her, at times he totally forgot what he felt for her and now that she is back he remembers but there is some weird confusion going on with him.
If you ask me this is not a confusing episode, its very simple, Rick try everything he could to escape the CRM and go back with Michonne for years, more than eight years trying to escape form the CRM even cut his arm to the point he start forgetting his love ones, like his son Carl and fear he forgets about Michonne too but when he finally took the desicion to go all in the CRM, when the military life suck him in, Okafor gave him a purpose again a life within the CRM by promoting him, days latter Michonne appears again on his life, the decision was easy go back with her but he didn’t he actually made things worst for them by taking Michonne back with him to Philadephia because Jadis now knows they together and I’m sure that most likely she will go after them the main reason for this assumption is because Rick knows way too much about the CRM and Jadis did mention that if they escape would be the first ones to do it, the CRM will lift every stone on earth to find them and finish them.
Slowly but surely I’m almost done with Special Ops Lioness, I got so use to watch content on VR that either sometimes I’m too tired to put on the headset when I have time to watch series or I’m lazy and just don’t but watching at my computer is not the same anymore besides a very long time I stop using Tv’s I just don’t anymore, probably should buy a big ass TV this year and get use more to it.
Special Ops Lioness is a little under cover agent/army drama series that will most likely will get a second season, haven’t seen any news saying that it has been cancel or there wont be a season two although the mission does complete from what I have seen on IMDB episodes descriptions, anyways it should get a season two after such good performance through rating sites but it could also be a one season deal, that would sux but that just how it is with the industry, never get to attach to series although some times its inevitable.
Second episode pick up some action towards the end but for the most part its just fun to see Joe mad for the most episode, she is mad because how her team got heat on their ass because of the ops at the south on top Cruz gets into a mess situation at a bar, other than that it was a very girly episode, btw Joe’s daughter broke her deal of top off only.
I can see how the girly scenes between Cruz and Aaliyah can ruin the episode but lucky it doesn’t repeat that often and its the only way the series can represent how Cruz takes information from her, for the most part the entertaining side of the episode is when Joe, her team members and Kaitlyn her boss jump into the scene, so far Joe had now clue who Aaliyah was getting marry with but since Cruz is getting closer to the group they have manage to get some intel on the guy although the are been extra careful since she already experience how fast Cruz can fuck things up and this was not the exception, on previous episodes Aaliyah would prefer to chose who to marry with but that’s just a cliche of this kind of story, not saying its fair or not but you know what I mean, again the boring side of the episode.
Even Joe and her crew felt the same way about them monitoring the marker, “spying on spring break”, Aaliyah had everything she could dream about except “freedom”, many would think different since there are levels of money that can buy you happiness but we are still human and at the end its the simple things that matter the most, this scene was the ramp up of the shit storm that was coming to Joe, not only the one she knows about this is with the shitty work Kyle pull with her team on the south. I like the tough attitude of Joe but some times Zoe Saldana exaggerate a bit and goes over board making it look force, some might consider this show silly or waste of time because of the girly scenes and its a cliche to see undercover operations happen overseas when it comes to Arabic characters, IMO I think it does make it more entertain, watching a totally different culture and not the American way makes it more interesting.
Exactly as Tex describe it to Joe, the job at the south was a shit show and I got a problem with this, I still don’t know why the hell Joe accept to lend Kyle part of her crew, been a special ops team already working on a mission, so far they haven’t give any background between Kyle and Joe, they both are special agents who met at a restaurant, well Kyle was following her and she agree to give him a few men for his unplanned suicide mission?? makes complete no sense, Kyle almost pull the job but the EMP bomb was not big enough to shut down cameras around him so how his ass is on the line and by consequence he sets Joe ass on fire too, it seems like the asset had some good intel on terrorist but until that’s proven they both Kyle and Joe are deep on this, if the media gets the footage.
Liar Liar Pants on Fire, since when the fuck that’s a good advice, top off is fine just keep your pants on when dry humping?? does that really work now days?? for sure never work with any of the women when I was young that’s just how a young human brain works, selfish ass Kate got into a car wreck badly, not her fault but my mom always told me at the end the truth comes to the light, always. Sadly for her his dad not only finds out she is pregnant and she is very very fucked up, but she also betray his trust that’s probably that hurts the most when you are a father but he was very naive too, Kate been pregnant is on him, he knew who Joe was when they got together and her work line so Joe not been at home is not the excuse, that’s the problem with anyone who works with that kind of confidential information for security agencies.
Remember how I said Joe knows Cruz can fuck up things any moment, well she did again, this is becoming a thing, Cruz getting in trouble during the mission for any random reason and I feel its not the last time it will happen, although Joe did got her once on a tough situation at Aalyah house the first visit, this time Cruz went to bar with Aalyah and her friends, there she meet a guy who drug her and almost rape her if it was not for Joe who thought it would be good idea to keep close to Cruz, I wanted to put the scene when Joe caught the guy, Cruz was laying on the floor in the woods, think about it Joe was already pissed at Kyle and her daughter Kate got into a bad car wreck, she busted the guy badly, went all savage mode destroying the guy balls, then brought Cruz back to the hotel where she is still trying to fight the drug effect to wake up and Kailtlyn just arrive to talk to Joe about the Extraction Ops at the South between Kyle and her team, this episode was a total shit storm for Joe.
I’m still on Episode four with another four to go, this are not very long episodes so probably I will just keep charge my VR headset with my headphones and burn down four hours of Special Ops next week since this weekend is Xmas, for far a series that I have really enjoy, I hope all episodes were like the first one but its kind of a good contrast and I hope one or two episodes get to that level of dopamine, if not it will feel like they burn all their gunpowder on the first episode, yeah the girly scenes kill the excitement but it also feels nice that not much character introduction has happen, they cut it out on the first two episodes and that gives more room for the rest of the story to spread its wings, you get more for your time invested on watching the series, others are slower at first a good example this year was Wheel of Time Season two was extremely slow at first to then blow your brains out with the last three episodes, Special Ops Lioness seem to be a more leveled series in terms of pace of the story, really enjoy this episode.
La Dame de Fer, the title of this episode that I assume makes reference to the Eiffel Tower that swings with the wind and the noise made by the rusted metal is heard all over the city of Paris, I guess most names are in French because where the story develops but I would rather like the tittle to be “Squeal Piggy” since Daryl use a common reference of how load pigs squeal when they are been killed while he was torturing one of Quinn’s goons.
The series remains strong in the ball part of a solid +7, its not boring although there is one thing that annoys me a bit and that’s how episodes mostly happen in close spaces and the camera has to go back and forward to register characters expression since there is very few open shots and also I think it has to do with light since most part of the series is very dark and I guess it has to do with the fact that there is no light, it keeps moving, entertain, zombies are still relevant since on this side of the world there are variants of Zombies, the series is more about a country that is starting to re establish their society, some just taking care of their people peacefully and others trying to build a regime as they think what the world need now is order and control, both sides might be right but forcing things as Genet wants its just too extremist besides all the experiments she is doing with Zombies has nothing to do with rebuilding society she is just playing to be a Commander and doing what she wants, so far we haven’t got any background of her, how she got into that position its interesting to me how she got all that power.
At the end of episode three Daryl falls down from a roof made of wood during the rain, it was rotten so his weigh broke it and he falls, he had this dream where he and Laurent are in a tunnel but separated by a gate, Zombies start to surround Laurent but they don’t touch him after he start to pray, what this dream might mean is that they are officially saying Laurent can communicate with Zombies?? I though this could also be a scene latter on during the episode but at least it was not on this episode, Laurent’s mother died during birth and she was bitten hours before giving birth so he probably has it on his DNA, the genetic mutation of Zombies mix with his human side.
After Daryl fall through the root he almost drawn, he falls into a place that was probably flooded and there were Zombies under water, I don’t know how they got to attack him if Zombies don’t know how to swim and they didn’t fall from the roof with him so that got me thinking for a minute, lucky for Daryl there were just a few and he manage to kill them, kill zombies hmmm.
Another Dame de Fer, Genet; visits Fallou camp after Cordon raid it last night, Isabelle, Laurent and Daryl manage to escape but the rest stay after all they were not the ones been chased, on this scene two things are confirm, Genet wants nothing to do with the Messiah story surrounding Laurent as that divides the people that she is trying to control, all she wants is them been under her command and not a religious story, nobody gives out Laurent besides none of them knows where they are.
I have thought since episode two that there is probably something cooking between this two but so far nothing, Daryl told Isabelle to meet at her apartment after the camp got raided, problem is where the fuck is Laurent. Daryl keeps telling Isabelle all this happen because she keeps lying to him about everything, if she really believes Laurent been the Messiah I think it should be the other way, she should have him inform as much as possible to avoid this mental break downs, Laurent has grown extremely naive.
Daryl been the good old tracker he is, has a good idea of where Laurent might be, at first I thought he was at Quinn’s bar since now he knows who his father and mother are but Laurent actually went to the Eiffel Tower, here the name of the episode La Dame Fer; there were a lot of Zombies trapped and when the saw Laurent they ran towards him, at first I thought ok if the first scene that makes reference he can some how talk to Zombies then this might be the moment Laurent shines but he panic and hide, he didn’t, lucky him Isabelle and Daryl found him, they try to take care of the Zombies around but at the same time Quinn’s goons snatch Laurent.
After a Zombie apocalypse, Isabelle leaving Quinn behind and now knowing Laurent is Lily’s son, his son, I can relate how he might feel the need to be a dad for Laurent, problem is that he has grown too naive but at the same time too cold, cold in the sense that he haven’t live enough to be scared or worry about things the same way the rest do, its like when a baby does something risky, they don’t know fear until they get hurt, Laurent has not been hurt, he is what 15 years old and never knew his mother and father until now so for him probably doesn’t make that much difference.
Genet is going around Paris tracking down Daryl and Laurent, Quinn ask her to come to his place because he wants to negotiate and here is the part that I think will cost him a lot in the future, not only he is asking for a bounty in exchange of Daryl but he also lie to her face after she ask her if he has Laurent that is at his office in the same bar they are at that moment, in exchange for Daryl he asks for a Monet, a painting. I think Quinn is a visionary, at some point in time he believes society can be similar to what it was, the world and he wants to be in control of the many things people value in the past like art, he is a collector and has a lot of art that could be very valuable once again.
Now probably my favorite part of the episode, Isabelle and Daryl manage to get one of Quinn’s goon while they put Laurent in a car and ran away with him, that scene was a bit stupid since I only saw one guy driving and Laurent alone in the back seat and Daryl still couldn’t get him out of the car, but at least the next scene when they try to get some intel from the one they caught was worth it. Isabelle try her nun way, been patient, nice, just talking while Daryl he brought a very dark story of a kid and his pet piglet, Daryl kept stabbing the guy on his torso, I don’t know how deep it was but he took about five or six to he body and was still taking, Daryl did get that piglet to squeal, he told them how to get into Quinn’s bar from a back door.
It was funny to me how Isabelle thought Daryl was the kid of the story he told and Daryl sarcastic that he is answer her no, but I do think it was him, on the original Walking Dead he constantly tell stories about bad his childhood was, his father was a drunk, kids use to bully him until he became a bad ass and no body mess with him anymore so I do think it was a true story, with the info on how to get into Quinn’s bar without him notice they plan a distraction.
Fallou and the rest attack the entrance of the bar as a distraction so all the guards go to that side of the building while Daryl gets from the back and takes Laurent with him, the distraction scene was not so interesting, I just mention it to give some context.
Anna will turn into Quinn demise, all this time before Isabelle and Laurent show up Anna was there for him, it looks like she is in love with Quinn but he is a selfish man that only cares about what he wants so at the moment he doesn’t want her anymore, when Daryl got to the place he found Laurent and Anna let them go in purpose just to screw with Quinn. Daryl had to fight Quinn on the way out, it was a short irrelevant fight, they try to make it interesting with them fighting on a suspended runway so viewers might think like ooohhh what if one of them fall? but they never did, I knew it would not happen.
They manage to get Laurent out of Quinn’s bar, no body from Fallou camp died and now Laurent is on his way to the nest with Daryl, it was actually very easy since there were not too many guards at the moment and the only person that could have really stop Daryl was Anna but she let them go, question is why the FUCK did Isabelle came back to Quinn, I would guess she went there to offer herself in exchange Quinn leaves Daryl and Laurent alone, trying to buy protection but in my opinion that only make things worst because when Genet finds out she is going to doubt Quinn and if that happens then going back with Quinn is worthless, Quinn can only protect Daryl and Laurent until Genet allow it.
When I look back to episode four nothing really important happen, it was a transition episode after Fallou camp was raided, Laurent got lost, then caught by Quinn and then Daryl got him back end of the episode, I don’t want to make it boring but it was literally what happen, the good part about the series is the details scenes they put in the middle so it doesn’t feel that way, they had to fight Zombies to get Laurent at the Tower but no luck, then they had to fight Quinn to get Laurent and the only true obstacle, Anna; let them go like it was nothing but what really makes up for this episode is how cruel Daryl was during the interrogation scene, things I already mention, what I want to see is if Laurent is the real Zombie Pied Pipper and I think that is the entire reason why others think he is the Messiah who safes the world, also we got pending the reason for Genet’s experiments with Zombies something that was not mention during this episode but its ok since this was the one very slow episode of the series.
I feel this episode took me more than usual to write bu I wanted to do something different with the images, I don’t want to just take screenshots and past them so I try to add more to it to explain the scene, I have even consider making gifts for key scenes or just the cover image, something I will do in the future, all this details take time, an entire post can take me between two to three hours depending how long is it and how concentrated I’m.
I was giving some though yesterday to Secret Invasion after I found this ratings from Rotten Tomato on Twitter, re post it on Inleo (Here Post) , I understand the MCU have basically spoil many generations since 2008 when the first MCU movie came out, Iron Man; its like they started strong kicking ass with mainstream human super heroes, then move to space exposing other species out of earth, the move into some mystic practices with my LOVELY Scarlett Witch and Dr. Strange so its natural that at some point in time they will give us other type of super hero, a more down to earth mortal like Nick Fury, they guy after all is very smart and can see things coming before others, we also now are aware that many of this skills he develop the time he had all this Skrulls spying on humans, believe it or not that’s how you get wise, going through many experiences good and bad you start building up this library of knowledge of what humans are capable under different situations, that’s why you never finish knowing some one until you have been through multiple situation even better when this situations are one worst than the other, that is who Nick Fury is a very wise, smart guy but human after all, they compare it to other MCU productions that could have exploited better like the Quantum Realm, Eternals I think run out of time just too long of story and recent Marvels, this I can understand it been more of a comedy similar to Thor movies but with still some action.
So its been two or three minutes complaining why this series has such bad ration but for me its fine, its a good watch although at times the story feels crunch but that’s how we humans are, never satisfied. Episode four Ghia becomes a Super Skrull without anyone knowing, this are the things I feel are crunch, the episode is full of disappointment and betray, remember how Gravik gave Talos the last sign of respect on previous episode well on episode four he fucks him up, Skrulls are deep into the US Government but no body knows because it goes all over to the top.
Ghia save her ass by the skin of her teeth after Gravik find out she is the mole within his organization and set her up, she tries to escape but he was lurking around the compound and found her, he didn’t think twice before putting a bullet to her chest but lucky her without anyone knowing turn herself into a Super Skrull to this I have a few complains:
Was it that simple, jump into the machine and no side effects?
Then why Gravik didn’t turn his best soldiers into Super Skrulls and only him?
Shen turns on this machine that takes all that power and no body notice
This are the kind of questions that might trigger hard core fans and critics, yes its TV/Fantasy but you need to have all this details on the table for the more than your average viewer stay satisfied, for others viewers that are not so much into details and let the dopamine do all the work distracting them with Ghia regenerating her glowing chest while quickly showing how she because a Super Skrull in a few flash backs, for this second type of viewers that’s fine.
Disappointment, thats what Fury feels when he finds out his wife Priscila, a Skrull; is talking to Rhodey who is in fact a Skrull working for Gravik, there is no body he can trust at this point, Fury had a suspicion Priscilla had something to do with Gravik while he was gone, after all it was her who brought Gravik to Fury when he lost his parents, she did try to persuade Rhodey not to kill Fury explaining he was not a threat but orders are orders and they both have to follow them.
We did get more details on how Fury and Priscilla end up been married, even how she took her face, Fury really love her for who she was still understanding that he was involve with a shape shifting Skrull that could put in danger his career and agency, now his life. Fury love very much Priscilla and she too, that is why she never stop trying to protect Fury from Gravik and now they coming for her, she doesn’t kill Fury and they both let go and continue to work as a team and a couple but Fury knows he has to put his foot down and go all in if he wants to get Gravik.
More disappointment, this time from both Ghia and her father Talos, who was the original Skrull commander on Earth when they got there, he was suppose to get a home to the million Skrulls that fled with him to Earth but things got complicated and he never found out a way to accomplish that task, they had no infrastructure, no land, they were unknown guests with no rights on the planet, hiding behind a mask and Gravik was the result of all that time when Talos couldn’t get them a place where they could be themself without hiding, Ghia is now a target and ask him what is his plan but Talos plan remain the same, been friends with the humans until they accept them but she is of the same thought as Fury, that’s not going to happen so she call him delusional after hearing how she still truly believes that Humans and Skrulls can live together on Earth.
Fury pays a visit to Rhodey and I guess his plan was to shake him up by bluffing, he probably thought Rhodey would become nervous when he tells him he confirm that there were Skrulls in the Goverment close to the president, like oh shit he discover me but that same as how Ghia became a super Skrull was lame, Rhodey is a shame shifter and unless Fury shoot him or cut him up to prove he got his Skrull ass expose then he would not accept it, on the other hand he is the one that intimidate Fury with footage from Russia when Gravik change into Fury and shoot Maria, got that on video so in case Fury attempts anything against him, well that back fire badly.
Secret Invasion probably would have been best if it was a movie and not a mini series if they were going rush things, comes the best action scene of the entire mini series so far, Gravik’s plan to kill the US president rolls out and Rhodey gets him the president right where he wanted him but they underestimate Fury and Talos, from this scene my complain is why Gravik was the only Super Skrull and IF it was because of lack of DNA samples to mix it with other Skrulls then WHY Gravik or anyone else within the lab project found out that there were missing DNA when Ghia turn herself into a Super Skrull??? see lots of fucking details misssing.
Gravik did manage get very close to kill the president but if it wasn’t for Talos and Fury the US President would be toast, the car flips upside down and there was no anyone else than Talos break the bullet proof glass, the US President was locked up inside, pass out, but Talos was hit that’s why he lost his human face.
Whit all the shooting Gravik manage to shape shift into one of the US Soldiers and got close to Talos, this was in purpose because he probably felt that if he could not kill the US President at least he will cut for good the ties between Fury and Skrulls by killing Talos, he could have kill him before, even on last episode but I feel Gravik respected Talos very much but it was time to demonstrate the others who is in charge now, consider Skrulls fighting for him will see his failure as weakness as any other soldier would, with his super powers Gravik had the chance to wipe out the entire field of soldiers if he wanted but he didn’t because he want it too look like it was the Russians so a War could start between humans and not with Skrulls.
Fury tries to stop Gravik but he miss twice, same as Talos to Gravik there was an attachment from Fury to Gravik so he probably didn’t want him dead the first time he shoot him and then got close shooting him in the face, from Gravik face that piss him off like really? kill me? I mean he killed Fury’s best friend Talos, Gravik regenerates and gets away, Fury had to leave behind Talos since he got the US President inside his car, fight between US Soldiers and Skrull kept going and the episode end, at least they should have waited for the fight to be over or Skrulls surrender so they both get out of there because when Skrulls are hurt or killed they loose their human face meaning soldiers find out they were Skrulls but no body said anything until Talos was shoot, were the rest of Gravik army just regular humans? more missing details.
Even though Secret Invasion is fine for me I think MCU fans not like me, I’m more of an average viewer who appreciate entertainment but MCU fans who come from the comics might need more details about the story and don’t feel its rush because from my perspective that’s the only problem of the story, again an average viewer opinion; episode four is the pinnacle of missing details, things that happen or didn’t happen without a reason, but at least I have to say I enjoy the first half when Fury and Talos get their pride slap by their most love ones, Priscilla who was probably on Gravik’s side until it was proven she was not because Fury’s life was on the line if he decided love over his life and Ghia calls his father delusional after he explain her he was still firm on the plan to coexist with humans. Until that point the episode felt like a solid 7/10 but then starts to fall with some none sense like Fury trying to scare Rhodey with revealing he is a Skrull and then Gravik been the only Super Skrull because to be honest I though there were going to be a fucking bunch of them wiping the entire field but I get his intentions was to make it look like it was the Russians but then again why reveal his powers? that was a very childish move from him as a “General” it was that plus his respect to Talos and Fury make him look like he still the same kid that use to work for them.
The only reason this episode remains as a 7/10 for me is because the shooting part safe it, the way Talos was there to rescue the president, how the soldier got spoke when he saw Talos changing back to his natural look and Fury had to intervene all that in the middle of the shooting safe this episode if not could have easily fall into a 6/10. I feel we will continue to watch all this MCU content because its from our times, anyone 30 years old and higher but I think for newer generations is not appealing anymore and thats why they are about to reboot many of this productions to keep milking the cow.
For anyone that doubt WOT season two because of it’s very slow first two episodes I have to say things are starting to turn up and everything starts to make sense, on episode four more about Ishamael and Selene or by her real name Lanfear, Daughter of The Night the most dangerous Forsaken finally we get to know who this mysterious women who does nothing during the day and only fuck Rand’s brains out at night and who Moiraine fears a lot, but it still yet to know what are her motive and reasons to be after Rand? the most obvious reason that comes to mind is that she either wants to drain his powers, use him to do something for her or just kill him and as a last crazy idea is that she is truly in love with him. Moiraine has mention before that what they living right now has happen before many times through the centuries, meaning that Rand or The Dragon Reborn is an entity that comes to the world many times and even dies but always the story is very similar so there must be a connection between LanfeAr and Rand so yes probably she is in love with him but he doesn’t remember, the difference between them even if they met before is that Rand is a new men when Lanfear was awaken so she was probably a prisoner of some spell.
Episode four keeps telling us more and more about the past of some of the characters, in this case a bit more about Moiraine Damodred, she goes back to her home town where her little sister Anvaere Damodred lives and haven’t seen in many years, Aes Sedai live longer than other mortals because they are connected to the true power so they will age slower and see friends and entire family die before them, that’s the case of Liandrin and her son, same case between Moiraine and her little sister Anvaere.
Its on Episode Four when we see Moiraine change her clothes into what she is wearing on the Season Two Cover Poster so probably from now on she means business.
The reason for Logain to be in this town same where Rand is, all that happen because Moiraine wanted so, she is looking for Rand around town and visit the Asylum he is was working at where Logain is but can’t find him, goes and visit Logain who wants to kill her if he could, keep in mind that may be he can since Moiraine has no powers but she wont let him besides she has a dagger, she offers it to Logain and what I can interpret from their conversation is that she will either let him kill her or give him the dagger so he can kill himself, she mentions “…what all those cut off from the One Power desire most of all”
Perrin and Mat are two of the least important of the main five characters so far with very little screen time plus I still don’t know how their powers help or relate to Rand, they cant channel but still have to do with The Story that repeats over and over.
Perrin was help to escape by the pack of wolfs and Elyas who serve him as a guide to discover his powers, most of the things that they talk about are very vague, like Elyas doesn’t want to talk to Perrin about his powers but let him discover them by instinct.
Liandrin has been trying to bond with Nynaeve for her own benefit, she has been talking about how great it will be to use her as the biggest wepon The White Tower has ever had but now she tricked her, sitting at the Arches Liandrin tells Nynaeve that there was an invasion on the west, a black smith from The Two Rivers traveling with an Ogier were caught prisoner, this is a lie because at this point because they WERE capture and then Perrin got away but that’s not the point, Liandrin knows Nynaeve can’t get out of the tower without reporting and if she does then she has to sneak out, Liandrin knows exactly what escape route she will take so she ambush her and knock her out, to make things worst Nynaeve was not alone she was with Egwene and Elayne who probably where not part of Liandrin plan. It is still yet to know why Liandrin ambush them and I think this time it has nothing to do with The White Tower and Nynaeve becoming an Aes Sedai.
Moiraine keeps looking for Rand every where but can’t find him, she is starting to worry Lanfear will got him first but she has been with him all this time, none of the things that she plan for happen, Logain have not train Rand at all and Lanfear has been with Rand all this time.
Rand is starting to manifest his powers but only when he is under a lot of pressure, meaning when he is mad, angry and this makes him dangerous because this are the moments he has less control of himself but I wonder if this is exactly what Landfear wants, for some mysterious reason a Fade or Myrddraal appears and tries to attack Rand from the back, when they were together out side of Selene cabin at the top of the hill and Rand display his powers burning the Fade to aches.
This seem to be a turn on for Selene because very casual they go into the cabin, she wants more of Rand but this time not only sex, she ties him to the bed and confess to him that she is also a monster, Rand can’t get out of his head that he will eventually go mad and kill everyone he loves with this power so he thinks he is a monster too and just in time but I’m not sure if this is good, Moraine cut her through from the back leaving Selene laying on the floor all bloody, what a mess.
Moiraine keep saying Lanfear/Selene is not good for Rand but so far he has done nothing to hurt him, the moment Moiraine shows up Selene was starting to channel and now I’m wondering what exactly she was going to do THANKS MOIRAINE!!! At first Rand gets mad as fuck with her and puts her against the wall because lucky for him Moiraine has no powers at the moment, if Moiraine had her powers she would probably kick Rand ass in a second, yes he is The Dragon but he has no training, similar Liandrin knock out Nynaeve, Egwene and Elayne all at the same time.
What annoys me of this episode is how many dark scenes there were, you really need a good video source and good definition screen to see all the dark colors and go through this scenes, but we are starting to see more characters channel for example Rand, Selene, Ishamael, I hope it comes to that and more characters channeling at the main battle of this series since at some point Rand will face Ishamael again either alone or with the rest of his friends. Another thing that bugs me is that Mat is set to some how kill Rand like its destiny so may be the same thing has happen over and over through their history, remember all this characters have reincarnate.
Finally knowing who Selene is, that’s a great relieve, watching her doing nothing during the day and just fucking Rand at night was not fun for me, I knew there was something else than that but never thought she was a Forsaken, based on Moiraine one of the worst, the first scene when Ishamael wakes up a women cover in blood did make me think about Selene also Moiraine kept saying since episode one that their encounter with him was not the last battle and she was wrong, it was the start of everything and that he was going to awake a higher power. Season two is turning into a banger, I really like this series and would like to see at least five seasons if possible out of it, I don’t know how far advance the story is at the moment compare to the books but over three seasons is a win. I give this episode a solid 8/10.
Lucille makes it back to the screen, that is Negan’s baseball bat name, on his left next to him with the top full of barbed wire that is what he use to smash Maggie’s husband head in front of everyone just to put on a show, through the series even if they kinda bond, Maggie and Negan; from her side it still feels she had that desire of vengeance and who would not after how Negan savagely killed Glenn, after all for her is all about that moment, she is trying to rescue her son Hershel with the man that killed her husband, it all comes back to the moment they met.
Episode four starts with that moment that Negan has mention before, the moment he knew The Croat was a problem, savage dog without a leash and he had to take care of business, cant let The Croat running around disobeying his orders and making important decisions on his own, what let Negan to take action was when The Croat torture a girl “just to be sure” she was not a scout, it was brutal, she was still a teen.
This look on Maggie is exactly what makes me think she obviously still wants to kill Negan, I would even bet she swore to kill him after her husband death, on this scene everyone is looking for Luther, the big guy from the local group Negan had problems with and eventually killed unintentionally on Episode Three.
The start moving out, on their way to take over the stadium and kill The Croat but first they go down to the train station, its a place also use for interrogation and torture so probably Hershel is there. Through the entire season Negan has basically been trying to make things up with Maggie, trying to be on her good side, I might think there are two reasons for this first that Giny is staying at Hill Top and second because he killed Glenn, on this scene they see a guy probably similar age to Hershel, he is dead and Negan will lift his head to see if its really Hershel, looks like Maggie didn’t had the strength to go through that suffering so he did it for her.
Amaia had everything figure out how to take over the stadium and lure The Croat out of it using Negan as bait but Maggie was action all suspicious besides before they went out Negan ask her if she has seen his matches and Maggie said no, weird then before they roll out of that room, above picture; she had Negan’s matches on her pocket so she is lying about basic stuff so why she wont be lying about something bigger. This is the moment that IMO confirms Maggie had plans for Negan, not sure what is it but its not help him get back to Giny when its all done.
To make things worst for Negan, before they left Maggie saw something shiny, familiar on Negan’s bag-pack, it was Luther’s wax that he didn’t want to share with Negan, at this point Maggie knows Negan has been lying about Luther but now also consider that he killed Luther too.
Amaia plan is rolling, Negan gets to the garage and starts his classic whistle and The Croat recognize him right away, question is how was The Croat that close to the garage at that very moment, probably TV Show coincidence but they all thought he would be alone so he just takes off after Negan and left the Burazi pack without their leader at the stadium.
Something wrong happen with their plan or then how The Croat react to it so easy? he must know something they don’t, first he was not alone at the garage, the Burazi were with him and second the moment Amaia and the rest of her crew was inside the stadium the doors blew up letting all the Zombies in besides they were playing loud music to get the Zombies inside the stadium.
Maggie was suppose to help Negan to lure The Croat out of the stadium but she could not because fucking Giny shows up and she goes after her ending in the middle of the arena inside the octagon surrounded by all the Zombies that just got in, lucky them there were not that many Zombies inside so they grap the protective material from the octagon and use it as a shield to push Zombies out of their way all of the sudden Tommaso shows up to help, where the fuck was him?
Tommaso, Amaia, Maggie and Giny where the only ones to make it out, from the group that got into the stadium, but got trapped into a room that had access to the sewers, problem is that its filled with bodies, so many of them that its highly contaminated with methane gas, Tommaso already use that route back in the day when he escape from The Croat and it didn’t sound like the best experience so I would expect a few nasty scenes coming up on the next episode.
After The Croat heard Negan they start chasing him around but the plan was to jack up a car and let him chase Negan out of the stadium, that didn’t work because they were too many of them so Negan didn’t had time to jump into a car so he got back into the stadium, The Croat never attempt to shoot Negan he wanted him alive but on this scene he says “I come only in the spirit of friendship…” like he really wanted to talk with Negan, who knows what for but the everyone thought he would only wanted to kill Negan.
The Croat throws Perlie Armstrong, the Marshall that was after Negan but on his way down he manage to hang on to the railing and Negan safe him, this is until now a new Negan, he is now old and wants to live in peace so he is trying to make things up for others that he hurt in the past.
Sometimes life is a real bitch, doesn’t matter how you try to fix things up that you fucked up in the past at the end it all comes back, even after Negan saved his ass, Marshall Perlie still wanted to arrest him, the moment he got his hand of one of those hock guns he point it at Negan and freeze him.
Episode Four was a solid episode for me, lot of details that had to pay attention to like Maggie and Negan lying to each other, the matches, the wax, Luther missing, also how The Croat knew they were coming, the stadium doors blowing up, the Zombies walking toward Maggie and Amaia getting them trapped inside the arena octagon, but something that got me thinking is why Giny there? I’m probably going to burn a two good hours tonight watching the last two episodes, I really don’t like this new spin off format of only six episodes, yes they are long episodes but thats not like the OG series format was and not even Fear The Walking Dead is. So far this is probably the best episode of the season with only two to go so I’m curious about how strong the season will end, good 7.5/10
For a short season Citadel does pack a lot of action in a Mission Impossible style, not the greatest actors and at times jokes from Stanley are not the best but still entertaining, the series is still in the phase of developing and knowing all the characters and their story before the train accident where Nadia and Mason lost their memory, in the previous episode we find out Abby who is currently Mason’s wife was one under cover and probably in love with Anders Silje who was developing a device that could hijack and entire nation systems but after her mission failed Mason decided to erase her memories and put her on a protection plan although everyone keep saying Nadia is the one who turn her back on Citadel and lead Manticore to take every one down with only a few left out like Carter who was force to keep moving looking for a place to hide, there is more to Abby’s mission failure its not that simple and it involves Nadia, in the present Mason is about to discover this since she got her memories back but he couldn’t as the injection that contain them broke and he is re learning to be Mason Kane again and find out what really happen to Citadel and if Nadia was the mole.
Citadel is one of those series I fall behind although its a very short one with the first season only with six episodes so I’m only two to go, I think this series has to be short in amount of chapter because will all this effects and places where the story happen it does feel like each chapter is part of a James Bond movie or Mission Impossible and I guess that’s not cheap also considering the first season is an experiment for a lot of TV series to figure out if it continues or stops, Citadel didn’t get much love from viewers with a low score of 6.1 on IMDB and each episode around that score too, I think its because how fake the story is, does feel at times like a GI Joe movie although people may score a GI Joe TV series higher just because of the brand, on this series there are a known actors like Richard Madden, Stanley Tucci, Priyanka Chopra Jonas and Roland Møller, they all have done mid tier films nothing spectacular and that’s Citadel too a TV Series with good if not very good action scenes and I think people fail to understand that.
Nadia and Mason goes to Morocco to a Manticore Black Site, a fancy name for a place where they run operations, they think Carter is there, we can tell Nadia is back on full spy mode while Mason is lagging behind, he is brave and is recovering that muscle memory but still not at Nadia’s level and this him in disadvantage as she can take down enemies like a fucking ninja he still figuring out how not to panic during a shooting, there is a scene where she cuts a guy arm and then when the knife is falling she kicks it Ibrahimović Zlatan style and stab the guys partner on the neck with the knife she kick in the middle of the air, this are some of the things people might find too big of a lie but that’s the charm of the series, come up with this fight scenes that are close to impossible but can happen, that’s why I mention Zlatan, have you see one of this high kick near impossible goals, the guy is a beast so is Nadia.
They were right, Carter was held in that location but right when he sees Mason and Nadia ask them to stay away, Mason look confuse and ask what did he do but then Carter clear things up on the same scene at the end of the episode, “Not you….Her” , there still to be explain if Nadia did all this to keep Citadel alive or it was at a personal interest level, depending on a situation a strategy could be to let the enemy think everything is over and keep the organization alive close to eradicated but with the right agents to rebuild it, they were probably out number and in disadvantage and she was the only who saw it, I still don’t think she betrayed Mason.
Nadia brings in Abby to work with Citadel on a new mission, the mission is to go undercover, find out where is the Oz Key and stole it from the Silje brothers. Mason starts to explain Abby a true spy tells the truth since she needs to get in the role and believe it, believe she is the person she is looking at the mirror in this case Anders Silje girl friend, fall in love with him but just to get close enough to the Oz Key he is working on, stole it and be gone, this is where Mason separates from Nadia, he seem to be the spy that goes by the book and doesn’t trust anyone always living a lie but it looks like at the end between them it doesn’t matter since Nadia out play him bringing down Citadel or at least that’s the side of the story its known until this episode, so Abby was brought in by Nadia then fall in love with Anders Silje to stole the Oz Key and is now Mason’s wife, talk about going in circles.
Abby did everything well, she got Anders to fall in love with her enough to get close to the Oz Key, steal it and replace it with a fake one but Anders brother Davik saw her, follow her and beat her up but Mason already send an Ops team to track her down and figure out what was going on since she went offline for a few weeks and the deal was to keep communication every few weeks with Mason to keep him on the loop of what was going on.
When the Ops team arrive captures Davik and brings Abby back, the most obvious thing happen, they couldn’t find the Oz Key only a fake that was on Abby’s bag, Mason doesn’t trust Abby for her behavior prior as she remain without communication but Nadia keeps saying they can trust Abby, Mason has a higher position within Citadel than Nadia and decides to erase Abby’s memories with they excuse they putting her on a protection plan but he avoid the erase memories part from Nadia, he asks for Bernard help on this, at the time it was a new procedure untested.
Probably the only one with the time and access level to figure out what really happen with the Oz Key and also why he is still alive even though he was capture by Manticore, Carter figure out that the real reason why they couldn’t get the Oz Key when the Ops team came back is because Nadia gave the order to deliver it to her directly, on Citadel they have this encrypted chat where the one receiving the message doesn’t know who is sending, that’s sounds stupid but that’s how it looks on Mason phone, he got a message “CONFIDENTIAL she took the case” probably meaning Nadia took the case, also why Carter either knew this or assume it was Nadia and Mason knew it, Mason is playing double agent here but his heart is with Nadia, he also thinks he got everything under control but we already know at the end he didn’t.
Despite of what the internet says about this series I really enjoy watching it but there are a few actors I didn’t like their performance for example Dahlia as Lesley, worst villain and there are times I cant stand Bernard jokes and how Stanley perform the character, everything else looks good to me, I love series where you have to pause, read the characters computer screen or phone to figure out whats going on those details that you cant let pass by, this episode I would give it a solid 7+ since it was pure action for the most part even when it slow down during Abby’s interrogation it was intense when Mason was about to kill her brother to get her to talk and better toward the end when Carter join the dots and assume Nadia is behind the missing Oz Key.
