Class of 09: The Fitness Test – Season 1 Episode 2 – RECAP

The first two episode of Class of 09 show that future where humans stop trusting on what they can do or not and decide to base human behavior on possibilities, Teyo is a master at doing this and the results are positive although is a practice that may create the wrong impression for those affected by the system, those who either get arrested or some how halt before they could commit a crime, in present days that method doesn’t exist, you cant get arrested for a crime you haven’t commit yet, for Teyo is pure mathematics and profiling people and there is a long line of people after him, those who have been intervene by the system and they think its unfair for them but Teyo thinks about the effectiveness and the victims the FBI can safe, its all Minority Report from the start.

The interesting part will be how all this characters build up their stories, Teyo, Poet, Nazari, Lenix, how they all graduate and start their carriers from the bottom all the way to the top, going back and forward between three timelines might be confusing for some people but I find it interesting, makes you to connect dots as you are watching the episode, this TV series has good acceptance by the audience usually with over 7/10 per episode on IMDB.

Episode 6 is more about the struggles of Tayo to start at the FBI, make it and stay a the top, he is not the gym type of guy so it was obvious he would have troubles passing the physical test to become an FBI special agent he was probably ashamed of his shape because all the other guys on the locker room were fit and he was a bit over weight but he has a lot of determination, a very analytic guy, study people, profile them to stay steps ahead somethings showing he is too cold as time goes by specially when he is at the top as FBI director.

Its only the second episode so its normal that we still have some of this first episodes focus on giving background of the main characters, in this case its Teyo everywhere, it starts with his class taking the physical exam, one and a half mile under twelve minutes and twenty four seconds for the men and fourteen minutes for the women, he is out of shape and initially failed, its true that some agents will become very important desk agents, them do most of their work with their brain and field agents are usually in better shape but when they are starting at the academy its the same rules for everyone, doesn’t matter what they want for them in the future they all have to go through the same training, Teyo shows since the first episode he is a desk agent, how he profile people and understands how the system works, that’s is his best skill analyze others and try to predict what will be the outcome of a situation, he does something similar with one of his college how tries to bring him down after he failed the test basically telling him to quit but Teyo knew there was something more to it.

Teyo is send out with Agent Nuñez to visit Mark Turpirik a wealthy man who lives in the country side, this was in the present of the story line 2023, Mark has a large amount of followers, in his defense all he is doing a great service to the community by joining all this broken men who lives and work their farms, mostly forgotten by the society but he brings them together and gives them a place and purpose to keep going, it seems that part of the country side has a lot of suicides and homicides, he even compare his movement with the natives who have their reservation a share of the country their own space.

Teyo knows why the are there and his mission, as I mention he is very good at profiling people, Mark was already interviewed by the FBI and the previous agents found nothing, agent Nuñez went with Teyo without knowing why they are really visiting Mark if they have no warrant and previous agents found nothing, not that they had to tell her the mission but she didn’t get it, Teyo mention they can be provocative and reveal things just by showing up, he is hoping to make Mark nervous for a second visit from the FBI provoke him to make a mistake because the FBI thinks this movement could be harmful and probably under the hood is a conspiracy against the FBI, turns out they were right, agent Nuñez help by Mark’s wife finds a basement full of proof that Mark is about to hit the FBI. The cover of this post is Teyo after a shooting with Mark’s people, while they were leaving him and agent Nuñez were shoot at and he had to go all Die Hard to save his ass and Nuñez.

There was a little bit about Poet on this episode but a very interesting comment from Nazari who Poet will have to spy on in the present timeline 2023 it seems that doesnt end well since on a conversation with Lennix she mention it has been nine years since she talk to Nazari and now she might need her help with a key card that Amons left her with some code on it, Nazari told Poet her thing is saving people, she lend her money to stay and now wants to help Teyo train for his next physical exam, this might be true and probably why Amos Garcia was looking for her, choose her to bring out the truth about the FBI department, this in the future timeline 2034.

This is the guy who try to make Teyo quit, well it seems Teyo profile him correctly, they guy had a racist attitude after attempting to brake a sprint record saying he is now the fastest “white trainee”, you cant come up with that attitude at the FBI specially if you are just a trainee, Teyo pick it up fast and told him he has now been reveal basically saying he expose himself, the FBI is constantly after any kind of racist supremacy movement and this guy behavior fits the profile.

Humans tend to get cocky when they are at the top, we usually think nothing can bring us down and its worrying how Teyo while talking to a senator about the system compares it to something send from heaven like it was created by God himself, he has no hope in humans or even the law, for him profiling people before they could or try to commit a crime is more important than law itself as long as the system keeps bringing positive results, on the other hand the senator tells him not everyone sees the system as a savior.

From what I have seen so far the hero might turn into a villain, Teyo might get consume by power in the future, he is so good at his job that he could turn to be a victim of his own success, can you imagine him getting arrested by the system he created, Teyo becomes a prodigy at the FBI and goes up all the way to the top, on his way up he makes more enemies than friends, the only two that kind of stay close are Lennix and Poet but they had a relationship at some point that didn’t end bad so that’s probably why but it looks like work and success got Teyo away from everyone leaving him alone. If its true that the FBI has turn against the people and might be corrupt or manipulated as Amos says then in the future probably Nazir, Poet and Lennix might go after Teyo to reveal the truth, I’m very exited to what comes next.

If anyone could get Dan out of trouble was this guy, on the series Clay was patient zero, the first man who saw and experience Alex mental health problem, he also had a background of family with mental health problems and it was several times were Alex basically snap at him for no reason or just because he didn’t agree with her or even remind her of what she have said in the past, we didn’t see that behavior with Dan but with Clay she use to forget what she said and repeat the contrary, Clay who quickly notice it knew something was wrong with her but he like her, Clay try to stay with Alex and I would say even help her with her problems, there was a scene at a roof top where he said

What ever is bothering you just let it go…

Trying to send a message to Alex, she didn’t say anything at the moment but look like wanting to cry while she hold his hand, when ever she was pissed for some reason she quickly take it on others, for example her neighbor Emma who was a very kind woman, she talks a lot but was nice, the dark side of Alex have no mercy and quickly told her she didn’t care for her AT ALL!!! , on the last three episodes of this season we quickly see how dangerous Alex was, its like her character comes from been a normal person that’s at first when she was with Dan, first episodes where everything was great between them and she was happy to the point where the series start really tell who Alex was.

Clay kept trying to bond with Alex, kept telling her its ok to have problems and its ok to be herself and cope with her problems with her mental health, its weird because it doesn’t look like love, it looks like pity or compassion based on what he saw his mother go through and I think that’s what upset Alex, she might have metal health problems but she is not stupid and constantly bother how Alex try to “help” her, probably if he kept so playing along she probably stay with him and never be part of Dan’s affair, that would be a twist to the story and probably Clay was the right person to her but he rush things instead of waiting for the right moment to have an opinion about Alex problems because they were just dating, they haven’t even fuck once and he already want to help her.

At the time all this happen Clay use to work at Legal Aid, Dan had a few people over there that didn’t like how much power he had, how successful he was and some times how he make wining a case so easy to do so it was obvious that when Dan fall he had no hope, he had no chance, he was too big to fail and he did fail so Dan became a trophy for the system.

This was the exact moment when Alex got tired of Clay trying to correct her, remind her of what she said or not, with age this is a natural thing for humans to repeat things or forget what they said a few days ago but I have a feeling Clay wanted to make it all about her mental problems, like anything she does wrong has to do with it and its probably that he was obsessed with this topic because of his mom history mental health, so Alex telling Clay to fuck off had nothing about she been crazy or not, as any other human she got tired of him trying to correct her and been pity.

At first Dan didn’t have the right name of Clay, he and Mike thought it was a Biff, Cliff, Smith something like that but they had to go to Legal Aid and ask, waiting for them was Ruth another person who back in the day didn’t like Dan for what ever reason but mostly the obvious, his power, his success, the most expecting thing to do, don’t help Mike, that’s what her order to the department, Ruth was just one of the many people that were not friends with Mike mostly because he was with Dan.

If I had to make a list of Mike and Dan “enemies” I would be out of ink and paper, deputy Ibarra also didn’t want to do anything with their investigation, after all its a fifteen year old case so he was off the hook although at some point he was also chased by Alex but never said anything about it formally and was not called to testify on Dan’s case, we start see how the narrative of Dan been a trophy to the system starts to pick up.

Earl Broker, another one, in this case a crime investigator who was not part of Dan’s fan club, he and Dan had history and when he took the case he prepare Dan’s bed, set him a trap and Dan fall for it but the problem is not that he lie to Earl, the problem is that he had an affair with Alex so it wouldn’t help if he said the truth or not if no body take the blame for Alex murder with proof, because someone taking the blame for her murder doesn’t stop Dan been a big fish for the system to catch and put behind bars, even under that circumstances he could still end up in jail but its true that the worst thing he could do is lie to Earl.

The only two that had Dan’s back when he didn’t had the money for his attorneys defense was Julia and her husband Arthur

This is something definitely helpful to remember down the line, at the time Julia had cancer and was dying slowly, Arthur love her very much, they were Dan and Beth best friends, it was a lot of money they were going to spend on Dan’s defense, Beth’s father didn’t want to help because he didn’t have the money and also said he wouldn’t even if he had it.

I don’t like rushing things and at the moment of this post I haven’t seen the other episodes so I’m not sure whats next but I don’t think we are getting a second season, hope we do.

On this episode we see how Ellen starts to get more attention than in other episodes, I’m not talking about screen time but things related to her specifically, we have to see her from time to time talking with Dan but she starts to stalk Stella and Richard, Stella a student partner and Richard a professor who have a relationship, Ellen at firs tries to tell Richard to stop it because its for the best this based on how Dan’s affair end up with Alex say Ellen had that example but now she is following them so I wonder if she was doing this because she wants Richard for her?? and not because she is doing him a favor

The most interesting thing we could get out of this episode is how bad Alex was mentally before he met Dan, at the same time she was still conscious of her actions proof of this is how she got tired of Clay but at the same time proof that she had temper issues is how she told Emma that she didn’t care at all about her, Alex had serious issues before she met Dan and I’m worry Ellen becomes a monster similar to Alex, would be very ironic but after all this is all fiction, the most obvious topic from this episode is how Dan had no chance and back then and even now everyone was against him, I still believe he didn’t do it, have no proof and it would be a hidden scene that comes up at the end but based on the facts until then for me he didn’t kill Alex, the moment he had all excuses and right motives to snap and kill her he stop himself and want to make her go away using his power at the court and just killing her.

The title makes reference to the story of Toni Wolff and Carl Jung, doctor and patient relationship, Toni end up as Carl’s mistress, the term medial mostly apply for people who live the reality and their own world, I’m no expert on the matter but it really applies to Alex, how she even had conversations with herself and tend to imagine things that never happen, but I wonder why they use that as the name of the episode when we saw that happening on previous episodes, unless I’m wrong and they referring to Ellen or Stella although so far both seem to be very realistic and had not mental health problems. The title of this episode is very well deserve and that’s exactly what I try to recreate with the cover image of this post, at this point in time Miep is loosing it, the pressure is too much to the point she totally expose herself after a pair of German officers in a bike almost ran her over, she starts screaming at the and call them bastards but they just laugh at her. She had so many things on her plate with Kuno staying at their place as someone not welcome by the Nazi Party, Jan working with the resistance taking risky tasks to safe more people, hiding the Frank family who is now so positive that the allies are close to end the war but only Miep and Edith seem to be the only ones realistic enough to understand there is so much more to happen before the war ends, on top of all this there is Tonny Ahlers a man who is looking for Otto to collect on a black mail scheme that has been going for some time and he has connections within the Nazi Party that can come straight to the Frank’s door, put all that together for a perfect mix of none stop stress yet there is still more coming to Miep so imagine how she could felt at that moment the German Soldiers almost ran her over with the bike to the point she didn’t care anymore, she had to vent out and she did but quickly realize it could be her worst mistake when they stop and one of them pull his pistol. Miep and Jan could probably ran away from Amsterdam when the Germans arrive and be free some where else but they decided to stay, in the case of Miep she couldn’t because her passport was revoke by the Germans but then when she married Jan then they could ran away and live a better life away from the war but friendship and patriotism kept them in Amsterdam, the friendship Miep had for Mr. Otto Frank and the love Jan had for his country, those are the main reasons they stay and decided to help those pursued by the Germans.

There are places on earth where you are constantly in danger, serious danger every day you wake up you don’t know what to expect, some times there are those who don’t even have the chance to wake up as things happen over night, one of those places is prison, in such aggressive environment where most of the time only the strongest and the smart survives you don’t know where will problems come from, either the guards or other inmates, sometimes situations that had nothing to do with you but you are confine to a specific space that force you deal with it, war seems the same but with bigger borders, in the case of Jan and Miep the had an entire city but everywhere they go is a danger zone, things change over night either because the resistance did something that alerts the Germans or because allies hit them hard and Germans decided to rush things, just when people thought the war was getting closer to end, the worst part of it come to them and I think this is exactly what will happen to the Frank’s in the next episodes, Ahlers is getting impatient and is looking for Otto under every rock he can until he finds him.

I really like how this moment represent how things change when Amsterdam was occupied by the Germans, one night this woman was a recognize musician playing the fiddle with a great orchestra for a large amount of people to came to see her, now she is playing to keep the mood up for all those victims of the war, a theater and now serves as refuge for those waiting to be transport to the German camps, most sick, tired, without hope that things will change for better but she knew she had to keep playing, at least there is one person on that room who still has hope and that’s her.

A Small Light will probably go down in history as one of the best Tv Series to transmit the struggles of people in Amsterdam and other places during World War II, all the risks they took to survive and help others, Jan was part of that movement, they had to be ingenious to take advantage of every second, every space, every inch they could to trick the German Soldiers and sneak people, kids and infants out of the city without them noticing there was some one missing, but even Germans also where very smart to the point that they develop this skill set of persuasion, how they walk, how they talk infringes terror on those hiding and running away, most crack right there in fear of what was coming but those within the resistance were brutally brave and had the courage to stand up to the task, here is how a nurse standing across the street pretend to be smoking but the moment the light train comes by she receives a baby through a window and run to Jan so he could take the baby to the country side, then she keeps walking like nothing happen and goes back into the nurse house.

The moment Miep thought things couldn’t get worst a set of event come to her very own place, this is what really make things boil up for her

– NSB Agent is now her neighbor
– Omnia Trust employees come to collect Jewish assets after Mrs. Stoppleman move out
– Kuno is terrible sick, fever and looks like dying making all kind of noises, NSB Agent upstairs
– Two nurses working for the resistance are now hiding at her house

All this within less of twenty four hours, next day she had to go work, walk to the office and pretend on the street that everything is fine, I walk every day from home to work, its a fifteen minute walk and I usually think about a lot of things, imagine everything that went trough her mind during the time she took to walk to work.

Things get slightly better for Miep and Jan at home, Kuno was not dying only had an infection because of some acne probably that end up bursting making feel much better, was gross and bloody too, Jan took the nurses and Max out of the city through the local guards transport, some where working with the resistance under cover and help him get all this four resistance members out of the city. This doesn’t solve all Miep problems as the heavy duty is still at work with the Franks who are now loud, hopeful, basically out of control since they think the war is coming to an end soon with the allies landing on France, getting closer to the Germans.

Mrs. Frank has also hit the boiling point, she cant even stand her own family anymore, cant stand been confine to the same walls, without properly seen the sun, been outside, its been two years in lock down hiding from the Germans and the war still not over, all of the sudden everyone thinks it will end soon because allies are closer to them but they still need to end it and she cant see that happening any time soon, she feels things will get worst, I have not been in any War but have been lock down for more than two years and I know the feeling when at least if you had an exact date even if its ten years from now you can probably take it and wait but the worst part is not knowing when will it end.

This episode leaves me hanging but I think actually I’m sure this is Tonny Ahlers doing, either Otto pays him or he tells the Germans they hiding at the office building, I think that’s what happens next and the reason for the image of a man pointing a pistol at Miep inside the office.

Not hundred percent sure why Boiling Point is the title of this episode, either because Kuno fever or all the troubles Miep went through a single day, its like the war burst at her place in one day bringing all kind of troubles to her door step, every single one of them could get her killed, not even arrested so it was a matter of time before she burst out too and that’s what happen when she start yelling at the German Officers who almost ran her over, considering she was caring an illegal radio to the office, not only disrespecting an officer in public but also smuggling a radio to the place she is hiding her friends, it was the perfect combination to get killed on the stop and she didn’t care anymore for a few seconds, this was probably a booster to keep on going after she vent out.

On Episode 5 of Dead Ringers a more raw version of the birthing center investors came up, its a selfish project where only Beverly thinks its for the best of women, Rebecca to make ton of money from wealthy women and Elliot to play GOD and experiment with their patients, this is the true reality around the birthing center.

Elliot for me has always been the star of the show and she is about to get on deep troubles, you cant play at been GOD without any compromises and repercussions, at some point in time her experiments will go wrong, she will be over confident and everything will blow up on her hands at once, part of her experiment is her sister Beverly, she is pregnant and the baby she is carrying is Tom’s without she even knowing it, that’s a time bomb for another day but on this episode Elliot meets a man Marion, Susan’s father who thinks the same as Elliot but in a more open and public way, in my opinion he only feed Elliot’s ego and got her to get curious with Marion’s daughter Florence at the moment she was giving birth, there is the double moral how Marion said it was ok to experiment and learn but when Elliot did it with his daughter then it was not anymore, after everything went down Rebecca, Susan’s wife, again make it clear for everyone, she is the BOSS and owns everyone for all the money she is putting into this project.

A new character is introduce, Silas Jordan a writer who is a bit wash out, after wining a Pulitzer he haven’t written anything worth it but in his own words, nothing has caught his attention but the twins fascinate him, because of how he looks at them and talk, mainly Elliot I think he probably going to try to destroy them and expose how Elliot is playing GOD with women child and Rebecca exploring them for money, this was very clear explain when at dinner Marion talk about a seventeen years old girl in the 1940s enslaved who had all kind of horrible problems to give birth and a Dr abuse of her, making her the guinea pig of his experiment, operating on her over thirty times in a span of five years without anesthesia, usually history is a lie, its written and tell in a way that benefits someone specific but its those who live it holding the truth, this girl most likely was force to this operations all for a Dr to experiment and learn from her. Now days this is illegal but still happens, there are parts of the earth where the sun don’t shine and its all darkness, Silas was against Marion and Elliot way of thinking and operate, he will enjoy exposing Elliot’s experiment.

After last episode the Mantel Twins are back together, Beverly was about to move away and had all kind of plans with her girlfriend Genevieve specially now that Beverly is pregnant but Elliot could not allow this, she is in love with her own sister and cant let her go so she revel to Genevieve how she got her for Beverly, that first day at the bar she was not kissing Beverly she was kissing Elliot, obviously that infuriate her because she ask them both if something like that have never happen with her and both Mantel said no, the most obvious thing happen the Twins are together again, sadly for Elliot not for long.

The Mantel Twins and Silas arrive to Susan’s parents house, this scene was hilarious for me, seen two pairs of twins and btw Florence on the left is expecting to give birth quadruplets, the man on the right Marion, just look at his smile he looks like a twisted mind person, as I mention in the intro he openly describe some of his experiences with patients as experiments, his wife left him and no body give details on that, I think he actually experiment on her so they could have twins although they said Marion and even his mother were twins, that’s just me speculating none the less we don’t know the real reason his wife left him.

At dinner Silas kept debating the safety, legality and morally right of the Twins procedures at the birthing center, he was hired by Rebecca to right an article to idolize the Mantel Twins work but he was very direct and open with his opinion and this is a moment were Beverly use that phrase she loves “pregnancy is not a disease” , Silas answer “Oh I’m going to fuck all of you so bad and make you eat those words” …between the lines.

This one a very uncomfortable dinner for Beverly and Silas, Marion kept saying how back in the day it was experimenting with patients constantly, learning new things every day and sadly it was true, anesthesia was first used in 1946 for a medical procedure so before that it was all butchery some times and Drs like Marion love it, he sees things different, he thinks science first and then the patients, he knows Elliot does too and Beverly doesn’t, on this very first scene he talks about how he didn’t had the opportunity to experiment more often because lack of patients and use this expression “make do with um hmmm” is he referring to his wife? or daughters?

Beverly leaves Elliot, this time is suppose to be for good and wants to get back with Genevieve, things really move fast for the twins, at the beginning of the episode she loved Elliot and at the end leaves her, all that talking with Marion made Elliot cocky and lead her to get curious with Florence after all four baby were born but the cherry on top was that Elliot brought to the world a twenty four week baby that no body knows she grew for four weeks before artificially get it into the mother body, when they were talking about it at dinner Marion open Beverly eyes when he said “She sees it like that….you don’t” referring to Elliot plus Elliot kept lying about it so Beverly only sniff the truth and decided to leave.

Just when they thought everything was great because Beverly is pregnant, their dreams came true and now opening their second birthing center, this episode turn out to be a shit storm for the twins and when I thought it was over, the old woman Elliot bush over the balcony was not an hallucination, she was real only that in her way down she fall into the building gutter and didn’t fall, that’s why Elliot never found the body and thought it was not real.

I loved Dead Ringers : Episode 5 because for the first time someone said things as they are, Marion told to the twins how they are making progress in science, experimenting and improving, he knows Elliot is pushing farther than what the laws aloud and how Beverly didn’t want to acknowledge the cruel truth, also the first person to call them out is introduce, I’m talking about Silas, he will be a stone on their shoes when he starts to publish articles about the truth of the Mantel Twins procedures, both Marion and Silas change Beverly opinion about Elliot and their job so far, probably open her eyes and that’s why she left Elliot.

I didn’t finish watching the Walking Dead and I have been planning on retake it but from the start, same as its parallel series Fear The Walking Dead, I remember those times, those were great times for Tv Series and everyone was into it for many months just waiting for the next episode to air but I have to say it is one of those series that can make you feel sad for everything that the characters go through, The Walking Dead – Dead City is more of an action series, even without knowing the end of the original series it doesn’t surprise me that she make it alive, after all she went through but the real twist is that now she have to work with the man who savagely killed the man she loved, Negan smash Glenn head with his bat in front of her and now she is asking for his help to rescue her child from a man who use to work for Negan, The Croat.

Zombies on this series are more like an accessory, yes there are still a lot to kill but they are not the main issue, although are a great problem considering Maggie and Negan went to the place with the most dense Zombie population, Manhattan was one of the epicenter of the Zombie Apocalypse there for there are millions of them on a small place, they still slow and weak, humans have develop a kind of of rope system that helps them travel from one building to another without touching ground so you can say the ground is dominated by the Zombies and humans travel through roof tops, society is also emerging again with new states or populations with Marshalls who enforce their laws, Negan is a wanted man and it seems this Marshalls wont stop until they get him so we have the zombies, the marshals and the Croat going after Negan and Maggie while they try to get her son back

I’m not sure how long this series will be in terms of how many seasons, but it already has a 7.9 rating on IMDB and would help to last for a few good seasons. It has to do a lot with its predecessor series that ended last year. The Walking Dead was a great series with a lot of fans that will follow any sequel as long as it is at least half as good as the original series, some of this actors made a decade out of Walking Dead and some keep pushing, you definitely have to be very talented to stay relevant for so long, the past two months after The Last of Us and Mandalorian season ended there was nothing exciting to watch but now Tv series are starting to pile up, great things coming up.

The first episode starts with Maggie tracking down first her son who got kidnap and then Negan but not necessary for pay back, Maggie is on a very desperate situation and got now choice but to ask for the help of the man who killed the man she loved very much, she is looking for him to ask for his help but on a world with a vast population of Zombies and humans trying to bounce back as a society no body likes outsiders sniffing around the place, Maggie gets to a motel’s bar to have a few drinks with the excuse she got robbed at her place and the bar tender tells her there is a guy at who lives at the motel who can help her, Maggie already knows who is he talking about, its Negan and she came for him but a local gal put her eye on her and caught Maggie at Negan’s room, but this woman is confuse she thinks Maggie came in behalf of some one else so they pin her down on a table and try to cut her face as a message, Maggie is a though fighter and after many years running away from Zombies and Negan she learn very well how to fight so she fuck them up and start chasing Negan who ran away with a little girl after he finds out Maggie is after him.

Maggie gets Negan down the road after chasing him, they are not friends, for now, and Negan thinks she wants pay back but he has no fear for her. They sit down and talk about the real reason why she is looking for him, few weeks back her place was raided, those who assault her took all her food and said will come back a few months latter for more but as collateral to make sure Maggie gets more food and resource for them they took her son Hershel, Negan is an old fox who wrote the book of how to extort people during Zombie Apocalypse so he quickly finds out the real reason why she is looking for him, the raiders took her kid and the guy who did it probably has something to do with him, a blast form the past. Negan agrees to help Maggie but only if she takes Ginny, the girl he is now protecting, to her place at the Hill Top where she will be protected, feed and go to school.

This Marshalls from New Babylon, a new independent state that is trying to build up society again and have put this men in charge to enforce their laws, they are no joke, they know how to track down guys, are well train and are good shooters. They are looking for Negan for murdering a magistrate and a few more, they don’t want to put him in jail, they looking to execute him but when the Marshall show up and start telling his part of the story something doesn’t match because he said Negan has build an empire like he still roles with his old crew but he is now alone, no a threat anymore to any large group of people. The same woman who had Maggie pin down to the table at the bar was questioned by the Marshall until she gave up and rat out Negan, to make an example out of her the Marshall throw her to a group of Zombies outside of the motel’s fence while the rest of the people was looking.

Maggie and Negan got to a boat to cross the Hudson and land on Manhattan but right at that moment Marshalls arrive, a young one tries to sneak on them and Maggie got him, she brings him with them as insurance, not that she cares what happens to Negan but for now she needs him, been Negan he wants to throw him to the river as he will latter on become a liability, I don’t think this guy has a very long life with them but she refuse to kill him and its here where Negan starts to preach truth and let her know its just survival and he is one of the best at doing it not because he is a bad guy but because he does what ever he needs to do to survive and keep those with him alive while Maggie is still thinking about good and bad guys, Negan has a wider way of thinking and how to navigate the world they living in to stay alive.

I don’t remember see The Walking Dead develop inside a city with tall buildings and for sure not inside an island, in the case of this scene Walkers heard Jano, the Marshall apprentice fall and since there are Walkers everywhere there are Walkers on the roof top so they start falling like its raining Walkers, we also see the water infested with floating Walkers and I’m sure there must be those that have sink for some reason wondering at the bottom.

This is the main villain of the story so far, The Croat, as describe by Negan one of the most crazy psycho that use to work with him back in the day, it seems that he now runs Manhattan with a new crew with similar practices to what he use to do back in the day when he was part of Negan’s crew, he loves torturing people and play mind games, on this scene he let a guy escape but only to cut the rope he use to slide from one building to another and see him fall from twenty floors, after seen the guy fall and scream, The Croat just laugh and said that has to be a new record, he does have Hershel and is still alive, if The Croat is anything or worst than Negan this is going to be a very interesting story because it wont be easy to surprise him.

I’m loving this series, it puts a smile on my face on every episode, either excitement for all the action or Negan dark humor, having characters like Negan and Maggie as main really keeps the original series alive with now another battle field, a big city with tall buildings infested with walkers and with a similar threat like Negan was, audience support so far has been great with 82% on RTT and 7.9 on IMDB, at the moment of writing this post I have seen two episodes and the next episodes keeps reveling who Negan is, there is a lot I ignore about the original series as I never finish watch it but its also great they bring this part of him for new viewers to get interested and probably go and watch the original series, bring questions like “Was this guy so bad?” besides Maggie cant stop having flash backs from when he smash Glenn skull with his bat, that episode I saw and remember how cruel was it, there were moments that I close my eyes and cringe. I have to watch The Walking Dead again and Fear The Walking Dead too, this are two series that are as good as The Godfather or Braking Bad and it is still relevant, I’m not a comic guy but there is a Walking Dead universe that for sure will pump out more Tv series.

Sylvia and Will two high school best friends who got disconnected for many years after Will marry a women Sylvia didn’t approve, the marriage doesn’t end well after a couple of years so she feels Will might need someone and she is there for him although many years have pass and now they are two perfect strangers.

I don’t actually write about comedy, its hard to capture the best moments of the episode and the traditional comedy doesn’t have that much continuation, most of the time its a new day and everyone wakes up to be funny and give a hard time to each other, I know Seth Rogen work from many other movies for example Super Bad, Neighbors 1 & 2, This is the end, he is so funny and very smart from some other interviews I have seen from him, then there is Rose Byrne who is as funny as Seth and have work together on many of his productions. What I like form Platonic is that each episode is like an adventure similar vibe to The Hang Over there is also continuation to the story not just wake up and lets be fun which I have no problem with but I enjoy more this type of story line.

I think its not new that when you grow up and have a family friends from school get distanced and some totally separated that you never see again for many different reasons, the main one is time consuming, you get so deep into work and family that there is not much time left to spend with friends, there are people who need this because that’s who they are and others just get pass it and move on to a family and work life style, both can be happy its something that is not for everyone, the hard part is when they try to get back to hang out and party with friends but time and age pass you the bill, you cant stay awake too long, feel tire fast, don’t drink as much anymore and things end in disappointment because nothing as you use to remember, it happen to me once and I understood that life style is not for me anymore, call be boring but no days I would prefer to stay home and have a few drinks with my wife look at a tv series like Platonic and have a few laughs rather than staying very late out, leave my kids with the baby sitter and be all hangover next day, it doesn’t work anymore.

Episode one starts with Sylvia who notice that Will got divorced because his ex wife posted on her Instagram, she was actually looking for a movie to watch with the family on movie night but stumble to the notification of her post, Sylvia’s husband Charlie is very supportive and knows Will from many years ago when Sylvia and Will were still best friends, sometimes its not normal for the wife to have male friends to hang out same goes for men to have female friends with hang with but in this case its the exception, Charlie doesn’t see Will as any kind of threat to his marriage, Will was Sylvia maid of honor at their wedding so you can imagine how close they were. The title of the series Platonic for me doesn’t mean that Sylvia and Will are going to end up together or have an affair

A platonic relationship is one with no romantic or sexual features, but it means more than “just friends.” According to the ancient philosopher Plato

That’s probably exactly what is between Sylvia and Will, they always had this relationship that represent more than friends but without any sexual or romantic involvement, I don’t think that’s bad as long as their bodies keep the distance, no holding hands or hugging, just be regular people but care a lot or too much some times for each other, the problem is when one of the two person decide to be more than Platonic, none the less that’s what I think this is it and probably why her husband recognize she should call Will to see how he is doing.

I love the many awkward moments Sylvia and Will have, mostly Sylvia because of her age, they both around 40 ish but Sylvia has three kids and dress well and Will has a brewing bar, drinks every day and dress hip, in a way Will tries to stay young and Sylvia on the other hand is going, as one of her friend describe, a middle age women crisis where no one notice her anymore in the outside world but at home she is the lovely mom, people need to embrace age and make the bets out of it don’t feel old, I still do a lot of things I use to do when I was younger, even dress kind of the same, listen to the same music, feeling old is different than been old, your body can become old but your soul and mind remain the same.

Sylvia and Will meet and she tries to be a good friend pretending she didn’t know he just got divorced, that sux because true friends come up straight no matter how bad is the truth, Will invite her to a party on the weekend at his bar and she agrees, the meeting was so awkward after so many years without seen or talk to each other that it didn’t last more than ten minutes.

Sylvia makes it to the party at Will’s the bar, there she meet Will and his friends but it was too late for her to stay which make no sense, why would she go, she was overwhelm by the place, it was very loud, there was people way younger than her and her friend Katie that she went with so after some cheap chatting with Will and his partner Andy they decided to go home and call it a night, standing across the streen Sylvia notice Will was arguing with his ex wife because she brought her new boyfriend to the bar, bar that was founded with her step brother money but after Will make a scene they decided to go, Sylvia went over there to support him and this is when the night got started, they went through some really funny events that I lough a lot, wont describe it since its better for you to watch it, Sylvia feelings and intentions were right but the timing was wrong.

They went for a drink, try to pick up a girl for Will at a bar, bough a dog collar for Will and got chased by a Doberman inside a Pawn Shop it was a crazy night that ended with them high eating at a Denny’s arguing because Will didn’t like the idea that Sylvia only got in contact back because se was pity about him, he just got out of very bad divorced for him so he was probably too sensitive at the moment, doesn’t look like that was Sylvia intentions she really likes Will but he wanted to continue parting but she is now a married women with a husband and three kids, staying up all night to the wake up early and take care of the family is not an option anymore is not like party all night and then go to class next morning, doesn’t work like that anymore but Will haven’t go through that process.

I really enjoy watching the first episode of Platonic and will continue with the rest, not sure if this will turn into a multi season comedy, probably just a very long comedy movie split into episodes, so far at the moment of writing this post its already five episodes with five more to go with more night adventures and awkward moments, if you have seen this two work in the past you know what I’m talking about, probably not a comedy for all ages, might only apply for people who are close to 30 and up that have gone through such change in life where staying out late is more of a punishment to the body next day than remembering how fun it was, the series for far its a solid 7/10 and I agree on that, its more about their story and laughing from time to time not just trying to been fun all the time say like The Big Bang Theory or Two and Half Men to give a few quick examples

Alex has started to create her own world after not dealing well with rejection from Dan, in her world only what she wants matter, only what makes her happy and have proven to do what ever needed to be done to get Dan do her will the easy way or the hard way.

Episode five drop bombs from start to finish, lot of things are reveled and some of my theories are proven by Mike and by Ellen, this episodes name Medial Woman comes from a paper Ellen is writing about “Structural Forms of The Feminine Psyche” by Toni Wolff and there is a quote that fits almost perfect to Alex

She must for instance express or act what is “in the air,” what the environment cannot or will not admit, but what is nevertheless a part of it. It is mostly the dark aspect of a situation or of a predominant idea, and she thus activates what is negative and dangerous. In this way she becomes the carrier of evil

Alex is creating this world where she wants to live in, she wanted to be pregnant from Dan to the point where she start to believe her own lie, she is living between both world the real world and her fantasy world, she think she feels pregnant and seems “happy” about it but then takes a test, came out negative and took it on Beth burning down a house she was in. Then tries to bring in Dan closer to her the hard way, threatening with an anonymous letter to his boss, a letter that relates to HR matters who start an investigation on Dan at the end been release from it not before HR mention that Alex safe his ass so she wants him to feel like he owe her something to feel an obligation to say thanks or something. On this reality that Alex is living in every time it doesn’t turn out her way she just end up hurting people or in the case of Beth mom, killing innocent people but Dan draw then line when it comes to Ellen.

Mike and Ellen both come to the same conclusion that Dan didn’t cheat on Beth because there was something about Alex, he did it because he couldn’t handle the fact that he was not getting the judge position after many years, he felt his carrier was a failure and he didn’t have enough time to wait for the next opening in four years like he ran out of time and Alex was his escape route, unlucky Dan he mess with the wrong person, Alex mentally unhealthy besides him not telling her the rules of the game from the start letting her believe there was something between them but Mike said it once, that’s all Dan, he always put up the show so people like him, at least those that matter for him because there were a few that now turn their backs on him because he treat them like shit, sometimes they deserve it and sometimes it was just Dan under pressure not knowing how to deal with it. Dan goes all out on Alex, day at the beach with the dog, ran away with her late night to a restaurant, sneaking to see fuck her, four times was enough to make Alex believe there was something growing and look probably like a long time for her, even though Alex needed therapy and was not very well balanced this was Dan’s fault most of it.

A lot of things come to light on episode five, Alex did murder Beth mother, she was still around their place after visiting and saw the backyard gate open, comes in and found Dan’s dog then came out Beth mother to thank her to get the dog before he went out, she invites her for a coffee that turns into a cup of wine and after a few minutes of chatting she mention how Beth and her father sometimes live their own separate world that probably they wouldn’t notice if she was missing, I think this makes Alex angry either feeling the same way with Dan like he doesn’t notice her anymore and probably angry at Beth for been ungrateful with her mother, at least from Alex perspective, Beth mother wanted to close the pool cover and she falls into the pool at that moment Alex decide to close the cover making Beth mother drowned, then she ran away after cleaning everything to make it look like she was never there but Dan knew, he had that suspicion that it was Alex who did it.

Dan tells his wife Beth the truth about Alex, this one was painful to watch, the day Beth mother dies, Alex killed her, Dan tells her whats happening but the real bad part is not the why he is telling her but that he is forced to tell her by the events happening, soon or latter he would tell Beth because Alex was putting too much pressure with what she have been doing but killing Beth mother was the drop spilled the glass although he didn’t have any concrete proof, it was devastating for Beth facing her mother death and that her husband cheat on her and is only telling her now because he feels they are in danger because of something that he did, something that he didn’t need to do, something no body force him to do and something he did without measuring the consequences, that’s the main problem form acting on impulse.

A written letter is send to Dan’s boss that accuse him of “things” they never said about what exactly but this opens an investigation that involve HR and puts Dan on halt until is over, he is send home and on the way took it on Earl, a detective who Dan treat like crap most of the time and things very little of his work, no wonder why when Dan gets out of jail and ask for his help, Earl tells both Mike and Dan to fuck off, Dan probably look over a few people when he was all mighty Dan Gallagher and now all those people are taking cheap shot at him when ever he ask for help. Alex is interview by HR and talk all this wonderful things about Dan and when the interview is done she makes this show like she felt dizzy and mention she probably pregnant, TF

Dan wants to spend time with Ellen his daughter but at doing this with Dan’s record he expose himself to hard truth and mixed feelings, there can be times that she understand him but others where she puts herself first, she didn’t grow up with her dad next to her so this person who came out of jail is not her dad, just someone who has the title of been her dad but they don’t know each other, didn’t took her too long to understand Dan didn’t cheat because he wanted Alex but he didn’t know how to deal with his problems, something that lead him to his worst mistake in a life time.

Dan is already suspicious that Alex killed his mother in law plus he knows she trow acid at his car and is harassing him constantly but he doesn’t know she also set on fire a house Beth was remodeling, while Beth and him were at the hospital got a call that Ellen cant be found after she came form school was suppose to go with their neighbors but nothing and he immediately thought this was Alex, Mike found her but even though without proofs and no plan to bring the case to the police Dan makes the same mistake again, wait for Alex out of her apartment and jump her from the back, throw her around even started to choke her but stop when she just let him do it, then he tells her he is going to the feds and don’t care about anything anymore and came up wit this brilliant phrase “if you want to die, you better hurry up” this was the perfect time to set him up after he put his hands on her, there is probably some soft of finger prints, hair, dna what ever that can proof he was there and put his hand on her, the episodes ends with a lot of blood on the floor, probably Alex’s blood, she killed herself and frame Dan.

I have a feeling there wont be Season 2 and this is just another mini series although its not describe as a mini series, this was so far the best episode of the season, everything comes to light, Dan tells Beth the truth and now we know Alex was out there trying to hurt not only Dan but his family even killing his mother in law on its way but at the same time trying to get closer to him by “helping” him at work with the HR investigation, she doesn’t know whats black or white anymore and is fully tilted but Dan gave her the worst idea, to kill herself and frame him.

Bernard has been capture by Manticore and is been torture to try to get as much information from him specially to locate the remaining Citadel agents like Mason and Nadia who at the moment are safe, escape and starting to know each other, the Mason that Nadia once knew is gone but the brain is a huge database that can recover data if stimulated correctly.

On this episodes we get more of the action promised from the trailer, Citadel tries to be a full James Bond style tv series with all kind of tech gadgets at their disposal, translucent touch screens as monitors, agents under cover and a lot of shooting also average villain but its expected, I’m not saying the series is bad but its hard to get actors that can be great bad guys like Heath Ledger to give an example, most of the times actors on espionage movies or tv series are not that good and Citadel is not the exception, I find the character of Dahlia Archer not so good as the main Manticore agent, the actress Lesley Manville is not convincing on this role same go for her goons with the exception of Anders Silje but just because he has a good actions scenes, not so convincing as a villain but better than her.

The episode starts with a scene where they are torturing Bernard that for me is very irrelevant, very dull, how bad villains are on this tv series make me uncomfortable, on every scene they come up I just want to skip forward to any other scene but at least Nadia and Mason save the day, they both are running away from Manticore and are now hiding on a Citadel safe house in Spain, Mason got shot and Nadia is taking care of him, its fun because he is still Mason inside so his subconscious still have some of the old Mason behaviors for example he ask Nadia if he can trust her and its not the first time he has done it, she start to remember many of their moments together. Nadia gets some interest into Mason’s life after the train incident at Italy, even ask him about his family, may be she is a bit jealous she is not the one with him but with their old life style it would be very hard for them to raise a family after all Manticore almost destroy Citadel so its a good thing they didn’t stay together and had a family, kids, because there is a chance they had been hurt during that time.

On my previous post from today referring to the Tv Series Class of 09 where they implement technology that in the past looked like Sci Fi although now days most of it is real, we got this translucent big screens as monitors on a meeting room, they do a good job at implementing them with their own interface design, a touch that I like and feel its not over the top, this episodes also brings agent Carter Spence who in actual time is still alive but Mason and Nadia haven’t communicate with him and they also introduce Sandra who looks like the Citadel Director, Bernard is the geek of the team not the boss.

Here one of the actions scenes form the trailer, this is the second mayor action scene on the series after the opener of episode one when they had this big fight inside the train that then explodes leaving Mason and Nadia close to death and without memories, in my opinion a very entertaining scene, only thing is that Mason run a bit funny to me but over all I give this action scene a 8/10, its the main attractive of this series so far, watch Nadia and Mason shooting, kicking and fighting. This is when Nadia and Mason are introduce, she was working as an undercover agent and Mason don’t know when or where she will appear to help extract him.

This part makes me laugh hard, Mason playing the fool with his wife but this is total cliché, spy loose his memory and then find out he had a girl before the accident, calls the wife to check her and when Abby actual Mason wife ask how things doing, how he is getting along with Nadia he answers seems she didn’t know Mason that much, Abby is like WTF do you think I’m stupid jajajaja, but from another perspective one may say he answer this to avoid getting her involve more than she needs and keep them away from the danger that surrounds him and Nadia.

With Bernard capture by Manticore the next only option to understand what the hell happen while they were away, Nadia and Kane decided to rescue agent Carter Spence who has been transmitting help videos through the Citadel network, to do this they would need to hack a mobster phone to get the access codes but access codes for what? I guess to enter the facility where they might have Carter, that part of the script got a bit lost, I guess sometimes writers like to put together the words hack, steal, access codes and what ever comes to their mind to get viewers interested but they have to do better this time because it doesn’t make that much sense but lets buy it steal the access codes to either locate Carter or enter where they got him. Problem is Nadia cant get close to Balduino the mobster running the place where Carter is because she is the one doing the hacking so Mason has to be the old Citadel Spy Mason to pull this off, he actually beg Nadia to teach him how to be Mason at the end it still inside him and it looks like he loves it and lets face it Nadia is very hot so probably he wants part of his old life back, during the meeting Balduino try to brainwash Mason telling him Nadia is the one who snitch Citadel and sold them to Manticore, this confuse Mason since he wants to recover his old life but cant fully trust Nadia.

To top it off in everyone forgot who they are, Bernard is about to pull an Ace of Spades he have been saving to get himself free, Mason and Abby both met at a hospital when they were doing therapy because she also forgot her memories after an accident, they haven’t give any specifics but it looks like after all it was Citadel who recover both on purpose even though they didn’t, but how come they met at the same hospital and now turns out Silje ex girlfriend is Abby whose real name is Brielle, Bernard show Silje a picture of here and tells him she is now married to Mason, this is all too much coincidence, Bernard made a deal with Silje to help him get free in exchange of Brielle info probably location not sure because the episodes ends there.

This episode was very good, still getting those nice actions scenes but part of the script sometimes doesn’t make too much sense plus the entire Bernard kidnap/interrogatory/torture sux, that aspect of the episode is very bad, only thing keeping this boat at float is Nadia and Mason, I hope villain actors get better after a couple of episodes, also some times it felt like other than the action scenes the rest was there just to feel empty space, probably taking things a bit slower work better for the series, not everything has to be action scenes, I’m sure there will be some episodes that will slow down and give more context to the story, even the Mandalorian that had action on almost every episode during the last season had a few slow episodes so I’m hoping they do the same with Citadel, its like they trying to recover their old life and memories too fast, I get that they have to if not they will get caught or killed by Manticore, lets see how much context Carter brings to the story when they rescue him. When the episode ends there is a coming soon kind of trailer that in my opinion spoil the next episode so my advice is that when credits pop up just stop it right there, trailers on this tv series in my opinion reveal too much before the next episode.

Class of 09 is the story of four main characters, all come from different backgrounds from a nurse, a lawyer, an insurance broker who enter the FBI as part of a new program that look to integrate more people outside of law enforcement, people who can become agents with different perspectives as they understand that some times only having a cop formation is not enough. This is the FBI trainee class of 2009, where their main characters latter on become important assets to the FBI, from the FBI Director Tayo Michaels and one of the best ever under cover agent Ashley Poet just to mention two of them, I like the story so far since its not about a single character or two, I’m sure there will be many story lines as all this main four characters develop during times where the FBI evolves drastically to a point that this TV Series plot really takes from movies like Minority Report, based on Artificial Intelligence systems the FBI tries to evaluate, judge and even predict when someone becomes a danger to society and the institution but looks like it gets too drastic to the point where it is not fair to judge people based on their thoughts or at least that’s what the main “criminal”, named Amos, of this episode things as he is currently the most wanted man by the FBI and comes to Poet house and tells her this, the FBI is judging agents based on their thoughts and its getting out of control, it was suppose to be a fair system and be a tool for agents to locate and arrest people who have committed a crime but now they been arrested for their thoughts, a system becoming so complex and its hard for agents to understand anymore although Tayo has been on the FBI Director chair for ten years making the country one of the safest and greatest nations on earth mainly because of the criminal decline across the nation because of the system he has implemented along this time, Tayo thinks different than what Amos tries to explain Poet.

I think Class of 09 tries to capitalize on this AI trend, in the past it was a very futuristic topic but not anymore now days my wife, my sister, colleagues at work who are not tech savvy talk about AI, its everywhere but production I think in the past had a hard time to take this concept to the screen, even minority report felt very fake, very unreal, more like Sci-Fi but with recent development that have become public like the integration of AI in Windows 11, will take AI assistance to many more people, viewers will get more related to it and we will start to see more and more artificial intelligence related topics on tv series, it wont be just a Tony Stark thing anymore and Class of 09 is an example, I really like it from the production stand, the series doesn’t look cheap, actors felt ok on the first episode nothing that made me think this is a cheap production and its not the Law & Order type of cops tv series that work on different cases every day, there is a very long story on how each of this four characters get to their different positions from when they started on 2009 to 2034 where we see Tayo as director and all this futuristic scenery but its not that futuristic for us anymore, Electric Cars got them, cyborg prosthesis type got them, artificial intelligence got them so its not that futuristic anymore.

Class of 09 is a tv series that will get more traction as seasons go by, so far the problem I see is that there are too many flash backs, this is not a series for the type of audience who seek a straight story line, this is the type of tv series for the one who pause, rewind and plays back meaning for the audience that like to put the pieces together and end up amaze once everything is understood so I get why some bad reviews on IMDB and most are talking about the same issue with the time line, there are time jumps from 2009, 2023, 2034 multiple times and this is just the first episode so you have to watch close, so far a 6.3/10 over all on IMDB but episodes have stronger rates like 7 and above, I personally give it a 8/10 on the first episode as I find it interesting and I like this type of format.

On this series what worries me is the tech side as for some reason cops tv series most of the time don’t get it right, scenes like the two above, either they exaggerate them and make them look stupid like a screen with a bunch of extended ping, hardware monitoring stats and I think if the pull something like Tony Stark stuff is even better at least they made the effort to make it look original, so far I haven’t find any scene that makes me feel this way.

Ashley Poet, who starts as a nurse working at a mental health facility who never thought about joining the FBI until she was approach by an agent who ask her to talk to one of the patients at the facility about his brother a murder suspect and after she was able to pull it off then gets invited to join the FBI, in part of they story it is mention how she have put her career at the FBI above anything else in life even her last two relationships one been Lennix one of her initial partners at the 2009 FBI trainee class, this determination along with her creativity get her to pull one of the largest cop bust.

This is captain Albury who is just about to let Poet get into the circle, he runs one of the most corrupt police department, they even got the FBI infiltrated and killed an FBI agent in front of Poet and she didn’t flinch the reason why is because probably she didn’t know about him, there are certain things on the tv series that are not explain straight up so as I mention you probably need to go back and forward but if she is infiltrated as a cop and her partner at the moment kill a guy and plant a gun on the guy then she gets to Albury and he tells her they killed that FBI agent and she asks if they send her there on purpose then its clear they talking about the same guy but the picture on the file is not clear, they didn’t say any names and this actions happen between time jumps on the series so that might confuse viewers.

This is present time 2023, Poet just arrested Albury in front of every one and that’s consider basically suicide asking for retaliation but it was a direct order by Lennix and old friend, classmate and ex boyfriend who is now the Associate Executive Assistant Director of the FBI, what a long name for a charge, he had the tough order to put Poet under that situation but it was necessary for her next job and her next assignment seems to be more dangerous since it will be to investigate someone or an entire division of the FBI.

Poet next assignment in present time is an old friend and classmate, Hour Nazari, it seems back in the day when they were trainees Tayo had a crush on her but been how quite and shy he is for some things it probably never got them anywhere at least that’s my impression from this conversation they had if they were dating anyone at the moment. Poet had to find out the hard way and read between lines that Hour was her next mission when they got together for dinner and she was surprised that Hour was ask if Poet would be of any use in her division a project that works on the largest criminal database, she is pissed at Lennix because now she have to spy on her best friend and colleague too.

As mention the series jump between time lines a lot for one episode, they go from present 2023 where Poet is giving the task to spy on Hour, put that on hold to the future 2034 where Amos a wanted man, probably a whistleblower who tries to bring the truth of what the FBI has become with all this new AI systems that basically try to predict who can commit a crime are way out of line, on the scene above Tayo looking at the scene where Amos is at Poet apartment and gets shoot by agents, Amos left Poet what looks like a card but not sure if its an access card or data.

I think its not necessary to mention that I really like this tv series, there are others that I want to watch but I’m behind on the ones I was writing about and don’t want to leave them hanging, I do this for fun so finish the seasons is important for me if not there is no fun but I’m going to start to include a few new tv series now that I’m catching up, this first episode was all about Poet but I think we are going to have multiple stories here because the four main character have top charges inside the FBI, they are not just a bunch of agents besides they all know each other very well, I like how the series is trying to integrate tech as much as its possible since we are finally living during the times when AI has become public and commercial.

There are moments in life where we have everything to be happy, nothing else matter, everything fits, nothing else is need but there is always a situation that makes you feel the total opposite for a moment that can make you change your mind and feel the total opposite like you still don’t have what you need to be happy. Most people when they finally make it with time then forget how it was before they make it.

Dan Gallagher had everything he needed to be happy, very often we confuse what we need with what we want, he had a good job, great carer, people respect him at his job, had a great family, lovely wife even a good dog with a very nice house but it was just that moment when he didn’t get what he wanted, named judged! that tip him over, blind folded and forget what he had, making one of his worst mistakes, having an affair but unlucky him with the wrong person, Alexa Forrest.

The series keep unfolding and now I don’t think it will ever stop going back and forward between time lines because after all Dan and Mike will try to proof again that he is innocent of murder Alexa Forest, the first clues that might help him are starting to show up, you can tell when a man fear a women because of what she knows and what she can do with that information, that guard who Alex brought fritters and told her to stop, the therapist who lived across the hall who didn’t want to talk to her anymore, turns out he was dealing drugs and she knew, Alex was a menace, she needed therapy and men where her target by now I know she didn’t have limits not even Dan family.

This is exactly how lives works, for now reason Dan’s wife Beth started to find things around the house, one by one, first when Dan went with Alex to the beach she lost an earring and this was not planted literally fall and Dan’s dog eat it, Beth found it on her dogs pop one night talking to him she was like ok you eat it whose earring would it be, meh silly dog, next doing laundry she found a single sock that was not Dan’s he took it from a closet with lost cloth they had at work after he came back from spending the night with Alex, next that night he got a ton of calls and kept hanging up, putting it on silence when he NEVER does that, he is the kind of guy who is always on call. Beth knew Dan was having an affair even before she start to really investigate whats going on, that’s just life for everything that you are not suppose to be doing, that is wrong, that makes you ungrateful.

That time Alex went to Dan’s house she wasn’t there to threaten him, she was actually doing recon, it seems she wanted to hurt him, remember we talking about someone who hurt herself in front of others but making sure they don’t notice, Alex is not good with rejection and Dan was trying to stay away from her as much as he could after he ended their affair, bad part for him is that he never explicitly told her it was just an affair and she thought it was something more serious. On episode four there is an incident where Beth’s mom stayed at home after she and his dad went shopping, she was suppose to keep the dog in and receive Ellen from school but when Beth got back found her face down drowning on the pool, Dan review the scene and how things probably happen, he thinks it was Alex, I also think its very likely, expect anything from Alex, from now on everything goes for her.

This was telegraphed from miles away probably but its worth to mention that the first person Dan told he had an affair with Alex was Mike after they try to look up for the CCTV footage when she trow acid to his car but he was parked in a place that the camera didn’t cover, Dan was concern of what she could do and wanted to put a stop to all this but had no proof and she kept calling him so Mike advice him to let her be, stay away and do not respond, confront Alex would make things worst.

Now that Dan is out he needs to get a job, get back into society and prove he is worth of staying out of prison, he is on paroled, he has been looking for any firm that could accept him with his record but no one would take him, those who could make fun of him and get some payback did, Dan was not every ones friend and was very successful so he had made a few enemies back in the day but at least he had very few friends, Jorge an old colleague he helped back in the day got his back and welcome him immediately after he step foot on the law firm he was working at. Dan is starting to organize his life again because besides proving he is innocent he wants to get back to his daughter Ellen who for now play a secondary role far in the distance on this story but I’m sure that will change latter on.

Dan is going to have a very hard time trying to control himself when he face what potentially proofs he was innocent and was not the only one been harassed by Alex, he is going back to old co workers in this case Conchita, like her some talk to him out of respect for who he was, his reputation and his word for most means nothing because he admit to be guilty, Conchita told him about the guard (bailiff), Gabriel Ibarra from courtroom M71, he also had an affair with Alex but end it although she though different and made a unofficial complain about Alex harassing him and Conchita knew but kept it for herself, she have this train of thought that if Dan knew he would use it to make Alex look guilty and him get of the hook so Conchita never believe Dan didn’t killed her, I’m hungry to know how things went down during court for everyone to think Dan did it, seems a lot of people believe it before he admit it and turn their backs on him.

I like how the story is getting into a second phase, its only four episodes but we already went from having an affair, finish it, Alex start harassing, it is not a secret anymore because Dan tells Mike so someone else besides Alex and Dan knows and we getting into the part where Alex wants to hurt Dan but there still not solid proof of that yet, soon Dan will have to break the truth to his wife Beth because one thing is having an affair and you don’t want them to know but when they are in danger that’s something you cant take chances with just come clean, admit guilty and life with the consequences but keep your family safe, I think women in the state of mind where Alex is are far more dangerous than men and Alex is going to proof it.

For what the tv series is I feel its a great story, at first I remember there were tons of bad reviews, people saying it deviate so much from the movie but for me that’s the entire point, its not going to be the same as the movie if they want to make multiple seasons or at least I would like it to be three seasons, right now it has a 7.8/10 on IMDB and 68% of average audience on RTT.
